On October 9, 2020, a technician from ihang TV’s came to my residence to hang a small TV over a fireplace surround in my Master Bedroom. When he arrived I explained that I wanted the TV centered over the fireplace and I even marked the position on the wall in pencil. He then asked me where the 8’ cord was. I told him I thought he would come with the materials needed to complete the job. I had to leave my house and drive to Walmart to purchase an 8’ cord. When I returned, I was shocked to see that he had hung the TV BESIDE the fireplace instead of over it. I told him he needed to hang the TV over the fireplace as I had originally instructed. This was the simplest of jobs and only required hanging the TV and running the TV cord behind the wall, (no cable involved). He patched things up but it was clear he was not competent to fix things properly or do a satisfactory job so I paid the bill with my credit card to get him out of my house. The bottom line is this: after painting my bedroom walls, woodwork, and doors and purchasing a fireplace surround for the purpose of hanging the TV, I am left with visible holes in my newly painted bedroom wall, a visible cord that runs behind the fireplace surround preventing me from pushing it flush against the wall and anchoring it to the wall, and a TV that is hung crookedly. I contacted corporate regarding this issue, they said they would pass the information to the Birmingham branch and they would contact me. After a month of not hearing from the local branch, I disputed the charge to my credit card. On November 25th, Velma Harris from the ihang TV’s local branch called me after they discovered they didn’t get paid. I explained what happened and she said they had a man who would do repairs and asked me to send photos of the damage. I texted her the photos, and was expecting to hear when ihang TV’s would be out to do repairs. The next thing I knew, on December 2nd, the police were calling me and telling me I was being accused of “theft of services”. I hang TV’s never attempted to repair the damage and never even sent anyone to my house to assess the damage. I will have to hire someone to fix the visible holes in my wall, hang the TV properly, and run the cord inside the wall so I can push the fireplace surround flush against the wall and anchor it. I hang TV’s sent out a total incompetent who damaged my wall, hung the TV crookedly, and left a mess. I will have to hire a competent repair man to fix the damage. I have never had the law called on me for disputing a credit card charge. Stay away from ihang TVs.

The TV is hung with a mount that will not allow me to hook anything else up to the TV without taking the TV off of the mount this will require two men. This was not explained to me before mounting! So, therefore I was not totally satisfied. I ask the installer if they had another mount, he said yes, so I ask him to have Ferlando call me and to come back and lets talk about another mount. Also, the installers did not hide all the wires which their advertisement says yes, that they do hide all the wires. That afternoon I called and left a message with the owner of the company and he did not return my call. The next day, July 22, I called his office and left a message in which he did not return my call. I called him on my wife's phone and when he called back,and she handed me the phone , he hung up when he realized it was me. This is not the way a professional should do their customers, do you agree? One more thing, the installers did not clean up their mess. My husband and I researched, received bids and chose I HANG TVs to mount two televisions and hide the boxes. The owner, Ferlando, and his team came out, did an efficient job of installing. They were knowledgeable and kind. It does take several hours, so we fed them Chick Fil A, gave a $200 tip and off they went. That's when the trouble began. The blue tooth 'eye' mounted under the TV (that enables you to store cable, DVD boxes, etc in another room) has had issues. This results in our having to stand up, move to center of room, aim the remote at the cable box mounted in coat closet in the adjoining hall. Imagine if we had chosen any of the other options to store the boxes i.e. a bedroom closet.... Love not having TV furniture by having the TV mounted, but the fact that we now live with needing to leave the coat closet door open so that the remote can send messages to it and then there is the issue with the sound bar. From Day 1, it does not get the signal unless you leave the face plate off the front of the sound bar. So, there is that ever present view of the inside of the sound bar. Now let's review the response when we call with issues. The first couple of times, we would either get advice on the phone or someone would come to the house 2-3 hours after appt was scheduled. Rarely a call, you just had to wait. The technician would think he had it fixed, but within a week we would be back to aiming the remote at the closet in the hall. There were a couple of times after that, my husband took time off work, waited at home, NO Ferlando, NO call before during or after that day. Nothing. At all. So imagine my surprise last month when I get a call from a lovely young lady, new to the company I gathered, who was calling to "set up our installation". That's funny. We had the installation 9 months prior, but our system never worked as advertised. She was very professional, took copious notes, apologized, said she would give Ferlando my husband's name and number to set up appt. she called a few days later to say Ferlando was checking with manufacturer as he did not know what else to do. Here we are, one month LATER and crickets. Ferlando has not called my husband, man to man, if only to say 'Hey - sorry I didn't show up for our last 2 appts, sorry you are still having trouble. I'm looking into it. Let me bring out a new piece of equipment, etc. ' So, as Angie's List email prompted me to do, I am writing my review. Sadly, it is a negative one.

The owner provided an estimate in which he included several elements which the workers he sent to do the job were unable to complete. The structure was damaged and the workers did not have the parts they needed. The workers tried to do their best and contacted the owner several times, but the owner would not come to the house to help. We had to call the office every day for two weeks just to get the owner to the house to correct the problems. He was rude and very unprofessional when he spoke to us. He had to bring in another service provider to finish the job, but was still not able to provide what he originally promised. He said he would compensate us with a refund, but sent $15 and a 20% coupon.
