Description of Work: They replaced my water heater a few years ago. I've used them since then, and the last visit, they installed a new faucet.

Description of Work: The guys came out several weeks before this work was done to clear out a backflow in my sewer drain. They told me that there might be further problems and more extensive work might have to be done. Man were they right! When the drain backed up even worse some weeks later, I called Hoover Plumbing again. They came out and ran a camera into the drain between the house and the main sewer manhole. We could easily see that there was water and paper backing up in the drain. When they opened the manhole, we could see a huge root growing into the opening into the manhole and mostly blocking the flow. They also told me that the center section of the drain had settled downward over time and that was creating a situation that encouraged a backflow and lack of drainage into the sewer. The guys told me what needed to be done, and I agreed to their plan and price. That was a couple of days before Thanksgiving. I told them that I had already paid for a condo at the beach for over Thanksgiving weekend, and they agreed to come out and do the work even if I wasn't going to be home. They agreed to call me on the cell phone and give me updates on what they found and their progress. They did that really well. The prices they gave me were for two scenarios. One was replacing the last third of the drain into the manhole. The other was to replace the drain two-thirds of the way from the manhole to the house, which included crossing a creek. When they got the pipe dug up, it was obvious that the worst case was the reality due to the large amount of settling of the existing pipes. They had to use mechanical equipment and a lot of muscle to get this job done. They even hand dug under my neighbors' fences instead of taking the fencing down to keep those neighbors' dogs from getting loose. They went way beyond the call of duty to do the job right and to keep their customer and his neighbors happy. All that was done without me being there at home at all. They even agreed to wait until I got back from the beach to be paid. WOW!

Description of Work: Water heater pressure regulator was replaced.

Description of Work: I used Hoover Plumbing to reset a commode which had become loose and to fix a water line to another commode.

Description of Work: The stopper to my tub drain had been accidently removed so the mechanism no longer worked to raise and lower the stopper and water would drain out quickly due to no seal.

Description of Work: The outgoing drain pipe became backed up and was running water (or whatever) back into the area behind our washing machine. I called Hoover Plumbing at 4:55 PM the afternoon of October 31st. They said they could probably be out here the next day, November 1st, after noon. Mike and Joe actually called about 10:00 AM on the 1st and asked if they could come out earlier. When they got here they went right to work and snaked out my outside drain pipe all the way into the main line until the drain ran freely. They snaked it twice because they felt some resistance somewhere in the line. Mike said that there might be a broken pipe somewhere and some work might be needed in the future.

Description of Work: They did some plumbing work in one of my bathrooms.

Description of Work: They replaced the inside of three of my toilets and they replaced the pressure release valve from the street to the house because that was the main problem. Description of Work: I have used Hoover Plumbing for all the years we've lived in our present home, which is going on 18 years. They always do a good job. They get back with me if I have to leave a message and are usually able to come to my home the same day or the next. They have repaired toilets, leaks in pipes, garbage disposal, many things over the years. Plumbing is expensive, but I like knowing Hoover Plumbing is taking care of whatever I need done in the home.

Description of Work: Replaced kitchen sink, 4 faucets (the bathroom faucets included replacing the stopper), shower head with hand held on sliding bar. Also added a faucet on the back side of house (one did not exist)

Description of Work: The plumber, Garret, tried to clear a clog in the kitchen drain with his snake. He was unable to clear the clog. He replaced the clogged section of pipe, cleaned up the mess, and made sure the drain was working correctly.

Description of Work: I called this company to repair a leak under my kitchen sink (after being stood up by yet another plumbing company!). An appointment was made for 4 days later at 8:00 am - the earliest they said they would be available.
