He arrived 30 mins late and failed to call to let me know he was running late. Very pleasant when I met him. Started inspection with the outside of the home. I followed around with him to make sure I knew where everything was and how to operate each appliance. He talked a LOT. Wish he would have inspected as much as he talked. He didn't get up on the roof to check out gutters or shingles. He didn't get under the sunroom that looks like it was added on probably because it was a crawl space. But since closing on the home the sunroom is sinking on the backside and we have had to hire a contractor to come in and see if that side can be jacked up. While in the attack, there was clearly a space on the other side of a wall that was not easily to get to and he stated that they had covered up space that could be used with an interior wall, yet he failed to try yo see what it was and make sure there were no future or existing issues. He did notice the basement had some effervesce, moisture seepage, at the garage door wall. But said that was all. If he would have looked more closely and tried moving a few boxes out of the way he would have noticed more in the basement that we now have to deal with. He was helpful in explaining the different major appliances to me, H&C which was nice.

The inspector arrived on time and was very pleasant. I heard a lot of banging around and assumed he was conducting a full inspection. When I emailed him follow up questions, I was told by the inspector to wait for the inspection report. However, when I received the inspection report, it was not complete. Lots of information is missing. Still unanswered questions.

Everything went smoothly. I found them on Angie's List and called the same day. The receptionist was polite and informative. She answered all of my questions and booked the appt. A confirming email was sent to me, reminding me of the appt. and making it easy to schedule around. Because some of the utilities were not on, I had to reschedule for a week later. No problem. I arrived later on in the inspection, preferring to allow the inspector work and give an honest opinion without my influence. I arrived as Garrett was finishing up. Instead of handing me a report and heading home, he took the time to walk me through each of the report sections by taking me through the house and showing me the problem areas. He was very knowledgeable about all facets of the report and explained the repairs needed in detail. The summary was helpful, which was given to me on site, but the true value was in the emailed report. It contained great pictures and explanations of the problems in detail. Garrett took my payment by credit card on site and sent the report by email before I left. (I stayed around to talk to my real estate agent). I highly recommend this company for home inspections, especially in older homes where issues may or may not be readily apparent. These guys give great value for the service they offer and deliver an exceptionally detailed final report.

I would say that he did a good job. I don t really know too much about the service, but I know that he made sure that my home will be safe for my family and myself. I think that he basically saved us money in the end, so that we knew what we were getting ourselves into with the purchase of the house. He did a good job and was very friendly. The inspector checked things like the foundation, roofing, and windows. He checked the electrical and plumbing work as well.
