Hollywood Pools

Don’t anyone use this place. Hollywood Pool and Spas sold me a 2017 spa at a 2020 price. They told me it was a newer model and I trusted them which was my fault. The workers who delivered it were very nice but one guy wreaked of pot plus anytime I have called the store whoever picks up the phone several times has sounded pretty stoned. When they delivered my spa they scratched the side of it and part of the shell. Shelby is the one I deal with and can never get a call back. The speakers also don’t work in it and I am still waiting for the. To make that right on the spa. Still have not sent me a manual that I requested when I bought it. Very low class people and terrible customer service

I usually don't take the time to write a review but I have been so impressed with this company. I hired them after my husband passed away two years ago and needed help cleaning my pool. They went above and beyond for me when the ice storm hit last year. They checked on my pool several times during the day to make sure my pipes didn't burst. When I needed a new liner they installed it quickly and did a great job. The staff is friendly, responsive and extremely professional. I sold the house with the pool but if I ever need them again I wouldn't use anyone else.

Started out well. Completed 95% quickly. Noticed immediately that pool was leaking and that the filter and vacuum pipes had not been installed correctly (not sealed). It took over one year for them to come back and repair! We also purchased/ordered a diving board which took 6 months to get them to come back and install. If you don't live in Birmingham don't bother calling this company. They made lots of promises and sounded eager to do business with us even though we were not located in Birmingham. They failed at keeping their word.

Things went fine

They are really good. I had to fire my other pool people after about seven years. They never were very good but they were cheap. I have been very happy with Hollywood Pools. The price goes down to $40 or $50 in the wintertime.

This job was a disaster. From the beginning, I received excuses and explanations from Hollywood Pools. They told me the job would take six weeks. After five months, the job was still not right. They first over dug the hole for the pool. This caused extra work to be performed and more landscaping problems. They did not fill properly underneath the pool and there are hollow spots. The concrete pump truck had a line explode I'm our driveway, shooting concrete all over my house and breaking a window. They replaced the window but never came back to paint it. The concrete never completely came off of the house. The manager constantly lied to me and shifted the blame to employeesof his. The pool sits over an inch off level. The pump is not plumbed according to specs and this has low pressure and doesn't filter properly. The concrete cracked the day they poured it. They never installed the diving board nor did they put in a bottom drain as Per contract. When the pool was almost complete, the city came out and told me that Hollywood had failed to apply for a permit and thus the work was never inspected. Upon further investigation, I find that the electrical, plumbing and gas work was performed by an unlicensed individual. Additionally, the fist day I tried to open the pool to determine it's status for the year, the ceramic tile around the edge is falling off and the grout it cracked. I got another pool company to come and give meman estimate for repair, only to be told that the tile would all have to be removed and the pool sanded down and tile replaced and regrouted. The material Hollywood used to adhere the tile was not the right material and the tiles are literrally dropping off or hanging by a thread. When I refused to pay the balance because I did not know what I had on my hands, and I am slowly finding out, they threaded to come on to my property and pull the electrical and pumps. I would not let this company back on my property to scoop dog poop much less to work on a pool

We are pleased with the new surface on the pool. The service people were friendly and did a thorough job as it is smooth and complete. They completed the work in a timely fashion. I would recommend them to others.

Hollywood Pools did a good job. I was happy with his work and the price. I was very pleased with the results. I could trust him around the house. He was in and out with in two hours. He was a good guy.

They come once a week and check the water chemicals and clean the pool. They provide very good service, and they do a great job with the maintenance. We are satisfied with their service, and the price is very reasonable.
