HOLCOMBE DOORS & WINDOWS

I've been doing business with Holcombe Door & Window for several years. I've paid a premium for their services in hopes I would receive premium service and product. While there have been quality issues with my doors, and a set of windows they tried to repair for me, I must say Van and his team have tried to stand behind their work. In recent months I think the economy has hit them pretty hard. Recently they seem to nickle and dime both their customers and installation subcontractors more than usual.

It went pretty well through the installation. The Windsor windows installed seem to be a good quality. The Supa doors installed seem OK, but we had issues with some of them and this is where Holcombe failed us. They blamed the contractor and the trim guy who installed them. They were unprofessional in their handling of these issues and therefore, ruined the experience. Ultimately, our builder made things right and handled everything professionally, unfortunately I can't say the same for Holcombe.

Although they are very nice people I was disappointed with the amount of time they took to finally come up with an estimate on my French door project. It took over two months and in that time their original estimate doubled. We lost over 2 months to their unresponsiveness and in the end we are going with another door company who came out immediately and had a solid estimate for us in days.

They did a good job replacing the door on our house. It was not a big job but the door is good quality and we have no complaints. I can not quote you a price for the door but it was fair for what we got.

We purchased two in stock storm doors for the back of the home. For the front we went with a very expensive, very custom special order door made of fiberglass that looks like wood. It has the special designer glass over the top of the door, then it has the glass to the right and left of the door. It is a very heavy strong door with a long warranty. It really sets off the front of the home. Once it came in, it took a week or so they brought it right over and had it all done in a few hours. All the doors are air tight and working properly.
