Hinkle Roofing

I regret not going with them, but I found someone a little bit cheaper.

They came out on time, and did a good job with the work. They were responsive, and punctual and we have no complaints with this company.

The cost was the lowest compared to two other bids I had received. But you need to get other bids and show them to Lowes to get a lower price. The work was completed as scheduled and in one day. I have waited to see if any leaks would occur and after almost 4 months, I have had no problems.

I got their pricing because they did the neighbor's roof. Started and finished in one day ... but the neighbor said that they were three weeks late starting ... and it does not really look that good.

Excellent. I advise people putting off repairs of roofs to get it over with fast, because the problem wiill only get more expensive.

As they were taking the old shingles off the house, they would throw them down onto my azalea bushes and boxwoods, destroying them. I asked them to throw the shingles out into the yard, but they wouldn't. 8 years later, shingles are falling off my roof. When I had another company come to inspect my roof, I found out that the Hinkle roofers had nailed the shingles down with only 2 nails per shingle instead of the required 3. In Alabama heat and humidity, it was just a matter of time before the shingles stretched their nail holes and started to fall off. Although they claimed to use a large magnet to pick up any fallen roofing nails in the yard and driveway, I picked up over 100 by just walking around the yard and drive.

Over a week after my call, and three days after they said they'd call back, I decided to call them to see what was going on. I got a similar story: We're very busy and someone will call you sometime next week. Then she told me that if that wasn't good enough, I was free to call another company which I am about to do.

Hinkle did an excellent job: showed up when they had promised to, fixed the problem quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. Six months later, for all I can tell, the problem appears to have been fixed.

The guys were very nice. They had four wrong shutters, but it wasn't their fault. The supply house are the ones who gave them the wrong shutters. I didn't have to pay a thing until they came back with the right ones. They did a really good job and worked like crazy. They cleaned everything up. I felt it was a reasonable price.

I called to request an estimate. The receptionist said someone would be out the following week and they would mail the estimate to me. She said I did not need to be home when the estimate was completed. A little over a week later, we received the estimate and faxed our acceptance as instructed. I called the receptionist to ask when work would begin. She forwarded me to the voicemail of the person in charge of the repair. I did not receive a call back. Over the next week, I left a total of two messages. On my third call, I explained that I had already left two messages and I was able to speak directly to the person in charge of the repair. He informed me, that someone would be out at the end of the following week to begin the repair. One morning the following week, two repairmen arrived. They called from my driveway to let me know they had arrived. There was no prior warning of their arrival. I am glad that I was home, because they did ask to enter the garage to see where the leak was and also went up into the attic to find the leak. The repairmen were friendly, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Before they left, I asked them if I was to pay them. They said no and told me to send payment to the office. I was not given a bill. I called the office to inquire about the bill. The receptionist said it would be in the mail the following week. We received the bill about a week later and sent in our payment.

I called for an estimate and one was scheduled. I thought they failed to show up and I called a second time. Again I thought they had not come but 3 days later a written estimate arrived. I signed and returned it to the company. About a week later an unmarked truck appeared in my driveway and 2 men walked around my house. I went outside and one said they were sent by Hinkle Roofing to do the repair. After they viewed the site they said it was too hot on the roof that afternoon and they would return the next day to do the repair. When I checked the roof two days later it was finished. I must have been gone when all of the steps happened. That was disconcerting and I wish they would have kept me better apprised of what was going on and who was actually doing the work. To date, the bill for the services has not yet been received. They were, however, the only company I found that was willing to undertake a small job.

I got 4 separate proposals and it took awhile to get them. Some of the people I called didn't even show up to give an estimate. These guys were not the fastest getting the proposal, but they had the best price and could get to the job pretty quick. The work crew showed up about 5:00 on a Thursday and by dark had most of the old roofing removed. They covered the roof with a tarp for the night. They showed up early on Friday day and had the job nearly completed by dark. They finished by noon on Saturday. They took all the old roofing away and did a good job cleaning up after the job was complete.

I have used Hinkle previously. They are really great people. For this job, they showed up on time, and everything went just fine. I am really sorry, but, I do not recall a price for this service. However, I think it was reasonable and I was pleased with it all. I have no complaints at this time.

Hinkle was great in all respects. We love our new roof. Our home looks great. Everything about this company was terrific and they would be our roofing company of choice in the future. I can not recall the price we paid for our new roof without consulting my books but I am proud to state we got a great deal using Hinkle.

Fair. I submitted an earlier report with a failing grade. It was initially difficult to even get a bid from the company. After several phone calls, the owner and the supervisor met me at home and went over the job. They ended up being five to seven thousand dollars less expensive than my other bids. The roofers came on the day expected but were several hours late. They did put down tarps to catch debris but did not shield my air conditioners from falling debris. Clean up was fair. I had to call back to get some repairs done that had been included in the contract but were overlooked. The roof looks good, I have one leak remaining around a vent but have been promised that it will be fixed. I spent approx. 2800 extra for the fifteen year ''golden pledge'' warranty by the manufacturer.

Overall I was pleased. Communication prior to starting could have been better as could the clean-up. I wrote them a letter about the clean-up and got a phone call and visit. I would use them again. I got 5 bids on the job and they were not the cheapest. I chose them because they had done work for me before, they have a good reputation and because I felt that they would be around to take care of the warranty, should I have issues.

I will never use them again, because they were suppose to come out and inspect the roof first and then do the repair within a week. It took them one week to inspect the roof, and another three weeks to repair it. I waited much too long, and I don't think they give their customers enough care and attention. They did the job too fast, and they were in and out before I had a chance to write the check. The roof looks ok, and they gave me a ninety-day guarantee, and it hasn't leaked yet, they are just in too big of a hurry.

I was very happy with the job. The crew spent about a day and a half working. They tore the old one completely off then put down the new. At the end they cleaned up and there was not a thing left behind. I paid for a good quality roof that has a guaranty, I am not sure how many years though. I got a good price, I just don't tell people my financial business.

Hinkle Roofing did a very good job repairing my roof. They were extremely quick to get the job done, a little over 2 days, but I know they did the job right. They were also very clean and made sure to clean up after themselves. I would use them again in the future.

Hinkle installed the original roof decades ago and it is starting to get old. The men who did the repair work came over the day after we called and had few problems stopping the leak. They suggested a new roof and we will probably do this but not right now. The repair job was finished in less than four hours and it has not leaked since. When we do decide to put on a new roof Hinkle will get the job.

They showed up as scheduled with a professional crew that was respectful and eager to repair our roof. It only took them less than a day to complete and they did an outstanding job. It rained the day after they completed it and we didn t have any leaks at all so we were very pleased with their work.

They came out to my home on time to do their job, and it only took them a couple of days to complete it. The type of material and shingles they used were great. They cleaned up their mess before leaving my home. This was a reputable company, and I didn t have any problems with their work.

We had a leak in the roof, and we had an individual who came out twice to try and fix it. After no luck with him, we had Hinkle take a look at it, and they were able to remedy the problem the very first time out. Their prices were really fair. They cleaned up well and did a great job too. We have not had anymore problems since we used them.

This company was used quite often, just in our neighborhood alone. They were very punctual and tidy. They showed a lot of pride in their work, and we didn t have any complaints with any of their performance. They did quality work for us.

Hinkle Roofing is an excellent company and they are the best in town. They are a very reputable company and they have very good roofers. They cleaned up really good, and are very professional. There was just one little problem, but they came right back out the same day and fixed it. I received several estimates and theirs was the best.
