The job took over 7 weeks. Subcontractor coordinating was significantly absent. It become necessary for the customer to be present at all times and to coordinate most of the work. There was rework required on some very basic items. The quality of the painting portion of the contract was below expectations. Final painting touchup and customer inspection was never completed. The customer did the final painting touchup and cleanup. Even though the payment schedule clearly indicated the general contractor would pay all subs, the customer ended up paying several subs. At the end of the job, the customer had paid out all contracted money, but one subcontractor was left partially unpaid. The customer still does not know the resolution of that situation. The last time the customer saw the contractor, the contractor assured the customer that he would return for final touchup and inspection. The customer never heard from the contractor again after that date. The customer maintained a written chronology of the job. The contractor provided the customer with a hard copy of this review sheet.
