I was pleased with them. They did good. I would use them again. But there is one thing that...you know when you go get your car fixed and they tell you something else is wrong and you need this and you need that. That was the same thing with the air conditioning and furnace. So I don't know exactly if they needed it or they were just trying to make more money. I trust them because I've used them for a couple of years. They came out and the first year, they didn't say I needed anything and the second year, they said I needed like a capacitor or something like that. But I don't know nothing about it so I don't know how to tell if I really needed one or not. It was a different person that came out on the different ones and I just...it makes you wonder, makes you think whenever you do something and they recommend something else that costs more money. It makes you think about it. I do like them, but I just don't know if I 100% trust, after they did that.

Our units went out during the hottest spell we've had in a while so I'm sure Freedom was incredibly busy but they were extremely prompt on both calls. They diagnosed the problem both times and then presented us with options to either fix the units or replace. They explained in no-pressure terms the pros and cons of both plans. They were able to install the units on the same day. The second unit was upstairs and it was well over 100 degrees in the space where they were working. They had some electrical issues but stayed with it until they resolved the problems despite it being after 8:00 PM. The service personnel that came to our house were always professional and very kind to our dogs! Freedom is a great company. I would absolutely use them again.

They came out and provided a free estimate on replacing a unit. When he came out to do the estimate he noticed that one of the wires were loose. He fixed that for me free of charge.

I think they do an excellent job with me. I chose them to put my system in. They put a heating and air system in for me two years ago and I've got like 2 or 3 years of service from them.

There was a little "hiccup" in our communication due to my cell phone not being charged when serviceman attempted to notify me he would be later than the 1-3pm window scheduled. I didn't get his message until after he had finished servicing my unit, but that's not this company's fault. He was very professional, and worked quickly. He advised me before adding the coolant that his instruments indicated a leak in the coil system, and the system would need to be replaced soon. He presented a couple of options for me to consider as to how to comply with the new regulations regarding phasing out of R22 refrigerant. Because he ended up using half of the amount he expected to need to fill the unit, he added a StopLeak product to help my unit hold the refrigerant he added at no charge. I am very satisfied with this company and will use them again.

It took some time to get the appointment scheduled, but went smoothly once the date and time were set. Am bringing them out again this summer.

It was fine. We ended up having to pay extra because we were low on freon. The price was pretty much the standard price. There wasn't anything extraordinary, it was just average. The quality of work was good. They were more interested in selling us a new unit.

He did fine. I was pleased with his service. They could have an an item or two of better equipment. This was a dryer vent cleaning operation. I think they did well with the compressed air and some other kind of scrapping device as well. I have no concerns though.

Serviced air cond. and gave me an estimate for replacement for future if I replace it with a larger unit.

They were on-time, professional, courteous, and flexible.

They responded to my request very quickly.The technician who performed the inspection was punctual, professional, and courteous.

They came 2 days later than what we had scheduled. They gave me a quote that was about $300 dollar more than what the deal had stated. They also gave me an estimate for an air duct replacement that was about 4 times what I was expecting. I am getting a refund for the deal and I am not going to use them.

Great. I have worked with them before and they have always been helpful and professional. I have a service plan with them because they do such great work. I never feel like I'm getting "hustled" or they are searching for a way to make a few extra dimes. My basement flooded ruining my furnace on new year's eve. They didn't immediately go into the "It flooded so it's got to be replaced mode" I expected but went down and checked to see if any of it could be salvaged. They replaced my 30 year old unit 7 years ago for same reason (clogged drain, plus clogged sump pump and 6 inches of rain) so were familiar with my set up. The board, blower, and sensors were shot and the burner needed cleaning. They let me know they could replace them but recommended replacing the whole unit for only about $200 more. As a repeat customer and Angie's list member they gave me special pricing and took care of everything including the thermostat. I couldn't have been happier. I had checked prices at other provider's so I would know the typical price for a new furnace installation and received estimates of $2500-$3000. Now you understand why I am so thrilled. Quality work at a great price!

Overall it went well. Freedom Htg & Cool'g has been my first choice for HVAC service for the past couple of years. Their service techs have impressed me with their ability to identify the root cause of problems, and solve them. Pricing has been fair. The old 80K BTU/hr Trane furnace was checked in late October 2015 as part of my service contract on the system. The technician found the heat exchanger showed signs of deterioration, as evidenced by rust and gaps. He showed me what he was looking at with an optical viewer which could see deep inside the heat exchanger. He called out his supervisor, who confirmed that diagnosis. The recommendation was to replace just the heat exchanger or the entire furnace. Since the unit was 20+ years old, it seemed better to replace the entire unit. The supervisor, Ashley Scott, gave me a quote on a new 60K BTU/hr Amana unit, for $2812. After that meeting, I decided to get a couple more estimates. I went to Angie's List to check out ratings on HVAC contractors. To my surprise I found a coupon for a new Amana Distinctions furnace, up to 80K BTU/hr, from Freedom Heating and Cooling for $1399. It was a 50% off promotion, which I was not made aware of during the previous day's meeting. I contacted Mr. Scott, and he was unaware of the promotion. He contacted his General Manager, and confirmed that there was an active promotion being run on Angie's List, and that he could honor that if I purchased the deal on Angie's List. We discussed some details, the first was that I wanted the new unit to match my old unit's output of 80K BTU/hr. Secondly, I opted to upgrade from an Amana Distinctions furnace, to the Amana brand furnace which has a stainless steel heat exchanger, for an additional $200, which I would pay directly to Freedom. So, the coupon was $1399, the upgrade was $200, total price was $1599. With all the details worked out, installation was scheduled a few days later. The install went very smoothly. The lead technician was highly experienced and made sure that the installation was done neatly since it's in open view in the basement, near where we park our cars. The only slight negative to the installation was that the gas line could not be installed as close to the new unit's housing as the old one, making the unit's footprint larger to walk around to get to one of our cars. Overall, the installation looks good, and the unit runs well. I am glad I checked Angie's List before I did anything, otherwise I believe I might have ended up paying double, or more, for the same system!

Absolutely awesome service. I bought a deal on Angie's list for a dryer vent cleaning for our new home (which we have not yet moved into). Ken came out on time and let me know that my dryer vent is about 18 inches long and runs straight outside, so it was about 15 minutes worth of work. For no charge, he then inspected my A/C and heating units as well. When he found out the A/C coils were leaking, he called Scot to come check it out, again, at no charge. We weren't surprised by the leak, as we had just had the ducts treated for mold. Unfortunately, the people who did the mold abatement and duct cleaning (Sears - would NEVER use again), didn't mention any possible causes of the mold problem. Come to find out it was because the A/C coils were leaking in multiple places. Scot explained everything to me and priced out different options. Because we have a home warranty, we are having that company come out and reinspect (and hopefully pay to fix), but I felt Ken and Scot were completely upfront with me about what the problems were. For $60, I got what I estimate to be $200+ worth of service and couldn't be happier. Well, not about the fact that my A/C unit is leaking, but happy about the service. Will definitely be using Freedom again!

He arrived on time and completed the originally purchased Angie's list deal (dryer vent cleaning, etc). I needed a new vent installed and he called and spoke to the office, and came back with a reasonable price. (This was not upselling - I needed one installed and had it on hand, and asked if he would do it.) He installed the new vent and cleaned up after himself, including the back of the dryer. Very polite and professional.

When he arrived he had no idea why which confirmed to me communication between the Angie's List offer and the company. They claimed to have found an issue which made it cost close to fourteen hundred dollars. I have used them for years so I can't really, they definitely cleaned the dryer vent and I couldn't believe the stuff they were able to pull out of there.

Did not clean compressor units. Told me needed new chiller upstairs, had freon leak and could not be replaced. Called supervisor to confirm. Supervisor (Jeff)told me approx cost $4,900 credit or $4,400 cash. Had second opinion from Alabama Air Services and they found no leak and cleared insulation away they said was hindering air flow and added freon in both units which you service did not due. Also unplugged pan drain in unit upstairs where supposed problem was. All units now working fine.

He was very conscientious and cared about how well he did the job.

They were on time....we had a tenant that had issues that thought things were trying to get inside her house to get her...bees coming in through the chimney...critters coming through the the air ducts....and a man that lived in her attic that stayed there just to see her undress...she had poured 10 boxes of rat poison in her return and air vents to kill the critters...freedom came out to get the poison out of the air vents so nobody (other than her) would have to breath in the poison...everything is great again, the vents and ducts are clean...and the tenant is gone...no she's not dead from her poison...and freedom never touched her..she left to terrorize someone else's house on her own.....yay!

I purchased the furnace deal for $1399. I purchased it on Friday and they came out Saturday morning to install. I had them out to check my furnace the week before and they quoted me $2500 for a Trane furnace installed. I saw this deal on Angie's list the next week and was so happy!! They installed a Goodmin which is fine with me. I am just waiting on them to send me the service contract details. I have asked for it since Last Saturday when I spoke to them but have not gotten that information yet. Nor have I received the warranty information. That is really my only problem is when you contact someone they don't call back or reply to emails.

He came when he was supposed to, did the work and was very professional
