Description of Work: Performed the inspection and cleaned the coils on the heat pump as requested. Found an item that needed attention but did not try to "hard sell" the fix. Did an excellent job.

Description of Work: He did an incredible job. My dryer vent was very clogged. I would recommend this service to everyone.

Description of Work: They cleaned the duct work fine. The price was good. They inspected my ac and told me it was going bad. A sales person "just happened to be in the neighborhood" and offered me "deal" if I bought it that day on a new system. The system had already been checked by another inspector who said the system was in great running condition. It wasn't until Freedoms inspection did I start having issues. Not saying they did anything malicious, I just wasn't comfortable with the way they do business. I am too suspicious of them to ask them to do anymore work for me.

Description of Work: Came to service heater furnace. I told him that pilot light keep going off. He let the heat come on and said the chamber is cracked so he must turn the gas off and needs to replace furnace also. I told him - no and that I will get second opinion. He did not do anything else and left. Contacted another vendor and he said that nothing is cracked and fixed it. Although it was a promotion still the money was wasted. I should have received refund for the money paid.

Description of Work: This is a really good company. Cleaning the dryer vent was very challenging without an addition charge. The technician did a great job with my heating and air-conditioning systems. He briefed me on condition of the entry system. They did not try to up-sell me. I'll definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Short version: A repair that should have cost $150 or less was over $500 and took 3 weeks to complete due to Freedom's lack of experience in servicing split unit heat pumps. I had to pay for their training costs, which I don't believe is fair. | |The details: I have a three year old LG split unit heat pump in my garage. After reading Freedom Heating and Air's top reviews on Angie's List, I called them when the LG unit stopped working and indicated an error. | |While everyone who came out from Freedom were professional and courteous, it was clear their technicians had little to zero experience with split units. The first technician spent more than an hour trying to trace the unit's electrical source back to our breaker box "just to verify it was getting power". Never mind there were lit LED indicators on the unit. Basically, he had no idea what to do with it. | |After around 90 minutes, a senior technician arrived to assist him. That senior technician handled the repair from there forward, but also admitted he had minimal training on split units and even less hands-on experience with them. He came back 3 or 4 times over the next 3 weeks in attempts to repair it, speaking with LG technicians for guidance along the way. The technician and LG support reps determined that some sensors had gone bad. He told me that the sensors were inexpensive, so the repair cost shouldn't be too bad. | |When he came back and finished the repair, I was shocked when he handed me a $469 bill. This was almost half the original cost of the unit, and was on top of the initial "Angie's Special" inspection cost of $49 that I had already paid. He told me that he disagreed with the price but "his supervisor had overruled him." | |I understand that Freedom, like any business, has to pay their employees. However, I also expected them to have the needed expertise to repair the type of unit I own. I told them it was a split unit when I called to set up the appointment. I didn't expect to be paying for their education costs so they could perform the services they were representing they were capable of providing. | |Bottom line, while they may do fantastic work on conventional heat pumps, I now wish that I had gotten a repair referral from my unit's manufacturer instead of trusting Angie's List. This was my first and last experience with Angie's List. I have canceled my membership.

Description of Work: Low maintenance fee is a bait,in exchange given a list of reasons why I needed a new system..and Charged a ridiculous price to replace and repair..

Description of Work: Check up on heating before winter. They did a great job.

Description of Work: Cleaned ducts, applied deodorizer, and installed antibacterial UV light. All went well, took 2 trips with no extra charge, and didn't charge for the deodorizing since we bought the UV light.
