He showed up on time and appeared courteous and knowledgeable. He serviced one unit, and reported everything was OK. On the second one, he showed me a couple problems where the amps were running high to the condenser and freon was leaking from the coils. He said he would have to bring over a manager to explain my options. A manager showed up pretty quick. He recommended a new unit in the range of $4-5000. As an alternative, he said I could refill my freon with approximately 3 lbs. at $150/lb. I told him I would think about it. I called another company to get a second opinion. The guy checked out the "faulty" system. He said it was cooling fine and he would leave it alone. I left it alone. I also asked the guy from the second company how much he would charge for freon. He said about $30/lb. --- Follow up --- I am updating this based on a follow up call I received from the company. Management contacted me after I submitted this review. They seemed concerned about my negative experience (I had previously gave them a D rating). They said that the worker had incorrectly quoted the freon cost and that that person no longer worked for the company. They refunded my amount, so I changed my price rating from D to C. Even though I still have some misgivings, I appreciate the fact that they did follow up and seem concerned about the reputation of their company. I will consider using them again, but it is not highly likely. --- Follow up --- I upgraded them to a B. They have come an additional time to service my units. I have not seen the original person that I had a problem with and the new person did not try to sell me services I didn't feel I needed.

Freedom did a great job. The price was affordable. The guy replaced something for free that they usually would charge for. He was very nice and professional. I already hired them to come back in six months for another tune up.

They were very prompt and high quality of work. Excellent people to work with.

They had come out twice before on service calls and on the third time they told us that the furnace could be fixed for $600-700 or put in a new one. They called us back with a quote with what they had to offer and it was reasonable. We have a year coverage on it. They were able to come in the morning to put it in. Everything went well, however, when Ashley left he said that he would follow up. Ashley was supposed to check on the work and he did not. We paid for everything up front, however, they had to come back the next day to put in a sleeve for the air duct. After 13 days going by, they did not come back so we called Ashley. He was very apologetic and advised us that he was told by his crew that they finished the job. We told him that it needed to get done. They ended up coming right away and finishing the job and he advised us that he fired the people who did the work initially. We have been the ones that have continued to call him, he doesn't return the calls that he says he will. We feel as if we were males then he would returned our call. I was satisfied that the they responded to us, however, we initially called them because the tenant living in the house heard a rattling coming from the furnace. I am happy that Ashley admitted that he recognized that we were not happy and responded immediately, however, he has yet to call us back since it has been finished. So far there are not any problems with the heater.

.The appointment was on time, took little to determine that more than a tune up was necessary. The entire new system was delivered and installed the same day. The old system was removed and hauled away.

They came when they said they were going to. We felt like they were honest about the repairs needed. I would definitely use them in the future.

I was real pleased. It was just a service call basically, but the guy was prompt. I would not have been surprised if he had looked to find something wrong, but he did not do that. It was an honest evaluation and he was nice to have around. I can't judge the price. This was one of the friends and it was a free service where they just begin to come in and be exposed to their service and everything. I'm looking at doing a contract to have them and I'm pleased with the prices on it. Their quality and responsiveness was excellent. Their punctuality and professionalism was very good.

Service tech arrived on time, reviewed the problem and made necessary repairs to the unit. Have used this company for a number of years and have found them to be respectful of time, professional, and thorough.

They did an overall check and service. I have been using them from the past 4 years. I like the way they work. They use booties while working. They do a good job overall.

This was a great experience. Even though we had to end up replacing our unit , we were confident that this was the best thing we could do, all while maximizing our energy efficiency. The financing made it much easier for us and it was all very easy to do, as they handled everything. This is a great company!

Since I have used Freedom Heating and Cooling several times in the past and am one of their great Comfort Club members, I called them right away when my A/C unit just wasn't putting out. Knowing that the heat of Alabama summers is unbearable, Freedom quickly dispatched one of their well-trained technicians to come to the house to diagnose the situation. They were most concerned with my comfort and would not leave the house until some cooling had been restored. Due to the investment required when replacing an HVAC system, they gave me options and discussed the pros and cons with me. They also mentioned to me that my system had become outdated and was no longer energy efficient. By upgrading my system to a more efficient unit, I could save money on utilities in the long run and be more eco friendly. They never tried to bully me into buying a new system, but suggested I take some time to think about it before I made my decision. Ultimately the whole unit had to be replaced because leaks prevented the coolant from staying fully charged. Their sales manager helped me get the best deal for my money by including an extension of my Comfort Club membership and a 10-year parts and labor warranty. He even helped me obtain affordable financing. The installation crew showed up promptly as scheduled and got my new unit installed in record time. They made sure everything was working properly and that it was cooling effectively before leaving my home. They were very polite and courteous to work with from all aspects of the experience. The sales manager even hand delivered the financing documents to save me a trip away from work during the day. They all went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of in a prompt and efficient manner. I will definitely use them again for all my HVAC needs.

They are a very reputable company as far as I am concerned. They do a thorough check on my system and let me know of their findings. I also like the fact that in my service agreement it states if something should come up during the year that they will check on it with no hassles. I would definitely recommend them to others. I do pay them on a yearly basis.

Last week I had service done, and the people who come out are very knowledgeable. I have kind of a funky home layout that needs a system with two units. They have come out to help me when I try to fix it myself. I know I need to spend the money on new, but they do not pressure you. I did get the most reasonable estimate from them on a new unit, which I will eventually get from them.
