$49 Big Deal for annual clean, tune up of HVAC. Pd another $49 when Charles arrived, for 2nd HVAC unit. Good for summer/ winter tune up and service.

Technician arrived on time and did complete inspection, tune-up and cleaning of system. Was very polite and explained exactly what he found. He found a leak in the evaporator coil and said he could have his boss come over and explain options and costs of either repairing or replacing the system. His boss arrived and talked to me about the different options and costs. The option I was interested in was being able to replace the coil with an exact match to the system but that failed because he was unable to locate the correct matching coil for the system. My system is still cooling so I have time to decide what avenue I will take. But I did like working with Freedom Heat and Cooling and will use them again.

The front office for Freedom is extremely courteous. Winners. An obvious intent on behalf of the company to meet the voice on the other end with cordiality and efficiency. Next day service for a mere inspection and tune up. Not bad. The tech was a tad over one hour late and that DID bother me for I had an opportunity to witness my friend's commissioning into the Navy this afternoon and I missed it due to everything running an hour later than anticipated. I can't get that lost experience back. I do regret that. Still the tech was good. The service was good. The price was great. I recommend Freedom (if you're not in a hurry!)

To this point we have only scheduled service with them, but they have been very professional and we did not have any issue contacting them to schedule as can happen with these types of coupon specials. Will update review after we receive the service

Everything went well. The people who came out were so courteous, polite and on time. They explained everything to me.

Freedom Heating and Cooling had made a service call for me in the fall of 2011, due to a malfunction with my heating system. At the time, they found that the ductwork distributing heat throughout the house had not all been sealed correctly. In fact, several branches didn't even connect securely, so I was losing a lot of heat into my attic. In January 2013, I had them come and completely replace the ducts where they were of insufficient length to connect. They also re-sealed all the joints.

The technician was on time and very professional. He did a thorough job and even advised me of how to clean the outside coils myself. I appreciate the fact that this company did not try to up sell me something I did not need ( as is very common with most HVAC companies).

Freedom has serviced our heating and air for a year or so, and it was time for our seasonal tune-up. The technician arrived at the appointed time and was courteous throughout the visit, taking great care not to track dirt into our home. Following the service, he carefully explained his service, including that no issues were identified. He offered the option of purchasing an additional year's service at a discounted rate, which I did. We had filters for both units, so the technician installed them, but still left two new filters which were covered in the service contract. Following his departure, the heat wasn't working as before, so the same technician immediately returned, identified the issue, and resolved it. While cleaning the unit, a standard disconnect from the main power source failed to fully reconnect. The technician knew at the time of my call what was happening, and returned immediately to resolve the issue fully. He stayed to test the functionality, explaining in detail what had happened, which made perfect sense. Both the heat and air conditioning continue to work perfectly to date, and we'll definitely continue to use Freedom for our heating and cooling needs.

I felt like they did a really great job, they communicated what they were doing, and they let my son watch who was three. They were great.

Mike was the person who came out to service my air conditioner for the summer and he cleaned it and everything seem to be working properly. He asked for my coupoun and he told me if I would to get the heating system cleaned out for the winter it would cost me $58.00, so I told him that would be fine. I asked me about a dampness I was having and he said he could have some call me about a dyhunogrufter.

This company was professional in every way. I highly recommend them.

the only thing that bothered me was that I had purchased a $44 coupon from Angies List the day before.and they would not subtract it. I also had a free coupon from Angies List for a free service call. They subtracted that but would not subtract the $44. After spending $5600 that rubbed me the wrong way.

The company gave me a time range of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the technician to arrive. They called to let me know he was on his way around noon, and he got there about 12:20. He proceeded with the AC inspection and service, including testing temperatures, cleaning out parts of the unit, taping up a leak, and explaining to me the problems I was facing (deteriorating capacity and moderate leak in the evaporator coil). He was not at all pushy but did note that the evaporator coil leak was moderate and will eventually cause the unit to fail. He recommended that I price out the work but that because the unit is 16 years old and uses R22, it will likelihood be prohibitively expensive to fix and just better to get a new unit. He also showed me where he taped up around the leak in order to minimize it. Very professional and personable.

I really like them. I especially like their employee Jason. He is very professional and fair. They are very honest.

They came and did a very thorough job, but found that I had a very bad leak in one of the units. Since the unit was 28 years old, it was time for a replacement. They showed me exactly where the leak was. They explained everything thoroughly and made sure I understood everything and gave me a price. It was much higher than I expected so I contacted two other companies. I ended up getting it from another company, but would have gone with them if their price had been comparable. They were very professional. I really liked everything about them except the price.

When the furnace stopped working I joined Angie's list in order to find a local HVAC company that had good reviews from the community. Freedom had the most positive reviews of any company listed and there was an Angie's list coupon for a free service call so I decided to call them. Called Freedom in the morning to set up an service call appointment and was told that a service technician would be at my house later that day between 2 and 4 PM. I was given a call about 2:30 and told the technician was one the way and would be there within 30 minutes. The technician arrived within that time frame and did a complete diagnostic on the problem furnace. A limit switch had burned out which is what cause the unit to stop working properly but a couple of cracks in the heat exchanger were discovered during the inspection which probably led to the limit switch burning out. At this point the technician contacted his office to have a comfort specialist come over to look at the unit and provide us with the available options. The comfort specialist arrived within hour and after reviewing the equipment provided us the available options of either replacing the limit switch and installing a new heat exchanger or totally replacing the unit. Having a 25 plus year construction background myself I had already come to the understanding of what my options would likely be and spent the hour prior to the comfort specialist arrived searching the internet for pricing information of the two options I would be ultimately be given to solve the problem. The cost proposals for the two options provided by Freedom were right in line with the average costs listed for the type, size and capacity of unit involved. I was satisfied that Freedom had given us a reasonable and competitive cost proposal for both options. Since our existing unit was 17 years old and at the edge if not over its useful operational life I decided to chose the option to replace the furnace for $2400 rather than replace the heat exchanger for $1300. Once the decision was made to replace the unit payment terms were the next topic. Freedom's comfort specialist told us that since we were choosing to replace the old unit with a new unit we could most likely with approved credit finance the equipment and installation cost with Alagasco. Freedom's comfort specialist while sitting in our den contacted Alagasco and submitted all of our information and received a credit approval within minutes. We chose to finance the cost with Alagasco for 2 years with the payment being added to our gas bill each month. Freedom said they could do the work that evening if we wanted but I chose to have them come back the next day. We scheduled the replacement for 9 AM the next morning. At exactly 9 AM Freedom was at the door with the equipment ready to go to work. Two hours later the replacement was complete, the old equipment gone, the area cleared of any debris or mess, the unit was already heating up the house. Later that afternoon the Freedom comfort specialist called and scheduled a time to come over so we could execute the finance documents from Alagasco and complete the process. When Freedom arrived with the paper work it was exactly as had been represented to us and agreed prior to installation and a couple of signatures completed the whole process. This was absolutely one of the best experiences I have every had dealing with a service contractor. I will absolutely use Freedom in the future should I ever need HVAC services again and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone with an HVAC problem or need.

Performed an inspection and tune up on both units. Identified an issue with the furnace that will need to be addressed in the near future. Respected my decision not to repair immediately.

On time friendly knowledgeable good experience

We used a groupon that we recently purchased to have our ducts cleaned. Our intention was to only have the service that were included on the groupon- nothing more. The technician who did the work, Skip, was really kind and helpful, but his supervisor came at one point during the cleaning process and was very rude to me. The conversations went like this- Jimmy- Did Skip tell you about the problems with your AC unit? Me- Yes, but we just want to use the groupon right now. Jimmy- You don't care about your AC system? Me- Yes, but we really don?t have the money for anything extra right now. I just wanted to use the groupon in the hopes that cleaning the air ducts would help my allergies. We are kind of broke right now and don't have the money to do anything extra. Jimmy- What? You live in this mansion up here on this hill and don't have money? Me- No, we don't have money and we just got back from adopting our daughter in China. We really can't afford anything extra right now. Jimmy (now walking out the door and visibly irritated) - Well, glad you had a good time in China! See ya! To say that I am offended is an understatement. Stating that we live in a mansion and should have money was bad enough, but to take a jab at our recent adoption (of a 4 year old with special needs who waited years for a family), is beyond rude. Our daughter's future is worth way more than any work he could have done on our AC system and to say anything at all about our trip to China is just awful. Not only that, but trying to upsell on a Groupon is not a good sales tactic. People call back if you do a great job and if you need to resort to this kind of bait and switch sort of tactic, then you just make yourself look bad.

They did a fine job for the cleaning. They came very prompt. They were insistent that our furnace was old and smelled of gas but I did not smell any gas. They gave me an estimate and they were very professional. But they kept saying it was dangerous. I followed up with another company and they did also think my furnace was old but prove it.
