I had three appointments, cancelled twice already, and then had an appointment today, have waiting 3 1/2 hours and have not shown up..

The technician was very nice and very professional. As soon as he showed up and we told him about our issue, he said he knew exactly what the problem was (a frozen AC). He turned everything off and left to go to another appointment while our unit thawed out and then returned a few hours later. He took the time to clean everything for us and did a great job fixing our problem. The problem that we had was that our $59 fix quickly turned into a $500 repair! Not to mention the first thing they recommended was an entire new system ($5,000). We were told that our Angies list purchase was taken off the bill, but the invoice did not reflect it. We were thankful to have our A/C working again, but feel like we were taken for a ride.

Confusion from the start. Technician showed up on sight not knowing what to do. Had to contacted at work, stop, search, and scan in the Angie's List coupon and send before work could begin. I don't know where the line of communication broke down but will give them the benefit of the doubt. Felt like this promotion was an open door for up-selling.

while the representative cleaned the dryer vent from the outside of the house he did not come in and clean the inside of the vent or the dryer which only made sense if it were to all be considered safe, when I asked about looking through the back of the dryer he said it was not necessary. didn't really feel as the job was done thoroughly.

They did a pretty good job. They did about half that was on the list for them to do. A number of things they left off that said it was covered in the details of the deal. However, what they did do, they did a good job.

They did what I needed done at a very reasonable price. Also replaced fuse in heat pump # 2

I had this company come out, based on excellent Angie's List reviews, because my AC wasn't working. The guy that came out was very nice and professional, and when it was determined that I needed a new system of course this company was on my list of bids. The salesman was nice, a great salesman, but their price was the second highest of all so I was going to go with another company. Upon telling the salesman this, he reworked the deal (with inferior equipment and lesser warranties of course) to stay competitive. Based on the fact that I liked both the initial service man and the salesman, I gave them the job. Big mistake. This company is the WORST. The installation went smoothly. Then within a week it began having problems. The thermostat didn't work properly and eventually had to be replaced. The brand new coil went out and had to be replaced. Due to faulty installation, the ductwork detached from the furnace in the attic and had to be repaired. And so on and so on. The worst part is, nobody shows up on time, or sometimes doesn't show up at all, and they don't bother to call and tell you they're running late or not coming. The office never gives messages to staff members. They don't keep you informed on the progress of a job that needs to be done. I even called and asked to speak to the manager, who did return my call and was very kind and receptive to what I said and thanked me for letting him know. Well apparently it went no further than him. The very next thing that went wrong was the same thing; no communication, no relaying of messages, not showing up for appointments and not calling. I would definitely go with someone else if you need any HVAC work done.

We were satisfied and we thought they did a great job. They called ahead to let us know they were running late. They got the job done in about 3-4 hours. They sent one person out to do the job.

They called because they were going to be running late and I appreciate that. They tuned up the downstairs furnace and discovered that I had a blower motor that was going bad.

PERFECT. Everything works as planed. Excellent service by Audie. Waiting on UV unit on back order to be installed. 1/21/2015 - They came out last week to do an inspection of the work they completed last July, free of charge.

Excellent experience with Freedom Heating & cooling. Bought the service through Angie?s List so expected the usual service charges that others try and tack on. A very professional Kevin Powe checked and serviced the unit told me the $39 I paid covered all work?honesty is rare with the heating and AC folks. I know my 9 year old system will need to be replaced in the near future and I am glad to finally find an honest competent company that I will use to replace the system. I highly recommend this company.

Chris came out within a few hours of when I made the repair call. He made the assessment, explained it to me and did the work that was needed. Freedom is a nice group of professionals that does their job well.

Both of our A/C units quit cooling on a very hot day. I purchased 2 coupons on Angie's List for tune ups. Matt, the technician for Freedom, came the following day and quickly diagnosed the issues with our units. One unit required a new capacitor and the other had a slow leak of the coolant. He told us the system with the leak would eventually need to be replaced but would probably last a few more years. Matt was very personable and knowledgable. He got our systems working quickly, so we're cool and happy again. We would definitely use Freedom Heating and Cooling again.

He spent half a day here but they didn’t do what they said they were going to do. I still had some dirty ducts and they told me I didn’t need refrigerant but I knew I did, but I got my money’s worth.

When I scheduled the service last month, the soonest available appointment was 6/20/14. On the morning of the appointment, the company called to say they needed to reschedule due to their work load. The late cancellation of an appointment that the company forced me to make a month in advance leaves me with no faith that the company will perform the service I purchased.

This is the third year we have used Freedom to check our AC systems, and again, we were very pleased with their service. We have had some problems with attempted theft of the AC units (now locked behind a fence) and some other random issues which were recently diagnosed by another AC/heat/plumbing service company as needing a new $5,000 unit. We let the other folks (whom we'd used previously mostly for plumbing) get the AC running and cooling, and then had Freedom back out a couple of months later to check everything out & recommend any needed repairs. Surprise! All we needed was some cleaning, coolant, and a small electrical part replaced (taken care of in a second appointment outside the Angie's List special, very reasonably priced). Oh - when they showed up RIGHT ON TIME, our power was out! One of those freak, brief inner city power blips that happened between the time the dispatcher called to say the truck was en route, and 15 minutes later when he showed up. They very kindly re-worked our appointment into the afternoon after the power came back on. Very much appreciated! Freedom is definitely now our go-to service company for any AC issues.

That work out fine. We were quite satisfied.

I cannot say enough good things about Freedom Heating & Cooling. If you need heat or a/c work, look no further - call them. They will send someone out quickly; they will be honest; and they will fix your problem. They will be punctual, professional, and friendly. I had a Groupon last year to have my units serviced - they were great. When my large a/c unit stopped cooling, I immediately called them. They came out the next day. Unbelievably, my upstairs unit stopped cooling before they arrived. Chris arrived and assessed the units and gave me my options but wanted to be sure he had not missed anything and also wanted to give me finance options as well so he called a supervisor to come out. Jeff was great and gave me options on replacing or getting by. We discussed and ultimately decided replacing the units was the best solution for me. They were so honest and didn't try to sell me more than what I needed. They got my units back up to current code and when I sell my house in a couple of years, this will be a plus. They worked really hard to find the best financing options for me as well and I truly cannot thank them enough as this was a large unexpected expense. Honest & trustworthy company all the way around.

First off the receptionist was so nice and very pleasant, and to me that is very important, it sets the stage for how I will feel about the company, so thank you Ms Lilly for being such a pleasant receptionist. Then Kevin Powe, our technician who came out to do our tune up was great, he explained everything he was doing and was here for almost 2 hours. I did not expect them to spend that much time especially since I bought a deal. Very pleased with my service and I never felt pressured to make any repairs, he made his recommendations and gave me the information I needed to make my decision with my husband. Definitely will be using them again and would recommend them to any one. Thank you Lilly and Kevin for such a great experience with Freedom Heating and Cooling.

That turned out good overall and they did a good job. They were also able to give us some quotes for a potential HVAC system issues, by sending out a manager that afternoon. The quote they gave us for the other work was a little bit high.

Freedom Heating and Cooling was on time and was very efficient. The owner came with the technician and met us and appraised the problems or lack of them. We got an estimate of future work with the vents in our basement and was given three different options. I felt the prices were fair and will schedule more work with them in the next few months. We are seriously considering leaving our present company, who we have been using for 15 years, and going with Freedom Heating and Cooling.
