Freedom Heating & Cooling

We started having issues with our AC not working as efficiently so searched on Angie's List for recommendations. I saw the deal for Freedom Heating & Cooling and purchased the deal. I received an email from the company within two days and was able to make an appointment within the next week. Allen, our technician, was very professional and courteous and arrived on time. He was very patient with my questions and I felt that he was honest and thorough. The inspection was completed in a very timely manner. I was very pleased with the service and will likely use this company again for future AC services and tune ups.

Arrived on time. Very friendly and professional. Worked for over an hour to unclog dryer vent. Awesome value!

The repairman was very nice and punctual.The unit just had a wire disconnect which he fixed quickly.I felt like he was honest and plan to use them in the future.I referred my mother to them and today she was very impressed with the service.She said "I can't tell you how glad I am you told me to call them"

The technician was on time he was very explicit on any questions and i do ask lots of them. I even asked about the duct cleaning and he explained the details on how he would think it would go..and offered information on how to schedule a visit if i ever decided to go for it. Was very pleased with the service

They were great! They were very prompt and professional and very easy to work with.

The service went great. The Technician was very professional and politely answered all of our questions - even several from our 5 year old. He cleaned the dryer itself and vent pipe with a Shop Vac. However, our vent pipe turns up and exits out of our attic. So, he came back with a device that attached to an air compressor and would "run" the full length of the vent pipe. He put the compressor outside and ran a long air hose into the house to minimize the noise. He snaked the device into the vent until no more lint fell. He then vacuumed up the lint from the vent pipe until everything was nice and clean.

Everything was done as expected.

I ended up having to spend $1,000 that I wasn't expecting to spend, but they were good. I didn't do any double checking or call anyone else to check, I thought that if they are on Angie's List, they were up and up. It was a almost a perfect installation. Some things went wrong, and I lost a day of work, but at the same time it may have been the case or worse with somebody else. I thought the young guy was trying hard and the insurance company that had the warranty were fighting with us on honoring the warranty. Freedom was willing to fight with these people. I have to give them some gold stars for the effort they put in it. They were thorough and so they get good grades for that. It took so much time for them to handle it. I think the guy that they sent out was new and didn't understand that you need to tell the customer that a guy will come out and say what we can do. We had to wait for the salesman to come out.

Was hired to inspect air conditions and up to 1 lb of charge. Individual spent time to clean the overflow line, and then charged the air conditioner and put in some sealer. Very happy with the work.

It was fine. I think we might have given him some more than the big deal charge of 59 dollars because we had 3 different systems and I think that deal was only for 1. We have got a big house and so we have like 3 different units. I think that we paid him more because we had him do the extra pound of refrigerant for all 3 of the units. I felt like that deal was reasonable. I knew that he wasn't going to do all 3 of them for 59 dollars. I think like I paid him 3 times, I think I just gave him like 180. He told me that normally it would cost a lot more than that but he said since you have 3 systems and you bought the deal, I will give you the deal on all 3. They were on time, professional and courteous. They were very knowledgeable. I don't recall there being any concerns about it. They did try and sell us some additional services. They didn't like the way we have our units placed. They were kind of under a deck and they said that is not really great for the long life of the units and it was going to be pretty expensive so we turned them down on that. They were not pressuring or anything. They were just sort of consultative.

Service was fine. They were right on time and the service man was very personable. He explained everything what he is doing and it was a good experience. I have also used them previously, so I am familiar with the company. Overall they are a good company and they come out and do what needs to be done.

I spoke with the provider by phone in advance of the first visit and through the web site as well. I indicated that repairing the duct was the primary job. I took off work to accommodate the provider for the initial appointment. The guy who arrived was very nice and professional but it was apparent that he was only here to service the units. He looked at the duct and said the installers would have to handle it. We scheduled the installers for the following week after work. I took off early to meet them. At the scheduled time, I received a phone call (from the same gentleman who originally did the service the week prior) that they would not be able to make it due to issues with a previous job. I told him I understood it happening once but not a second time and rescheduled for the upcoming weekend. The installer arrived on time and was very professional as well. He did say that the measurements he was given were incorrect but would adjust. When the work was completed, he asked me to come check it out. I must say the work was better than I expected and the price was exactly what was quoted. Will definitely use again!

I don't usually take the time to leave reviews, but Freedom's customer service and value is truly extraordinary. I have been using them for 2 years now on my two properties and they have exceeded my expectations every time.

It was a waste of time and money. I actually feel I deserve a refund. The vents are still full of debris.

I purchased a big deal with them, and everything turned out just fine.

They were very prompt and professional and gave additional advice on how to save energy/money. I would use them again.

COMPANY WAS HERE A LONG TIME CLEANING ALL DUCTS AND THEN INSTALLING UV LIGHTS TO PREVENT MOLD AND CLEAN AIR.

Very professional, excellent job. My husband and I could not have been more impressed with Jimmy Simmons from Freedom Heating and Cooling. He was prompt, worked very hard with a difficult dryer vent problem, resolved it. Cleaned the vents, changed the filter that I supplied. He was easy to communicate with about the various problems. I cannot recommend this company and this staff member enough !!!

Technician got to my home within 2 hrs of my placing the call this morning (Feb 26), when their offices reopened, and fixed the furnace problem. He refused to charge me, saying this was something they maybe should have been able to catch when they came to do annual tune up of systems a couple of weeks ago. That was courteous and thoughtful, since I would have quite happily paid (its freezing outside). I will definitely continue to use them.

It went well. They were easy to schedule and showed up on time for the appointment. They were very professional. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

As per their emailed instructions, I called to schedule an appointment. During that call, I asked if we could have our A/C unit leveled, and whether that would be included in the service call. I asked the scheduler if that would be included and if not, how much extra would it cost? He said he wasn't sure but if it cost more they would let me know. I told him that was a priority and would pay a reasonable additional cost to have it done. He said he would put that on the ticket. When the service tech came for the appointment, he did the tune up and added coolant, as agreed. He then told my wife that he wasn't going to level the unit, because "it can't be done". That afternoon, I called and complained that the priority problem had been overlooked. The person to whom I spoke was very polite and apologetic, and told me that he would make sure someone came out on Monday to level the unit. Nobody showed up on Monday. I called that evening and left a message, but never received a return call.
