It was good. They were friendly and easy to get a hold of. Worked quickly. Very knowledgeable and offered a good value for the service.

It went very well. The consultation was very valuable and it changed what we were thinking to do. There were other things suggested and that we would have liked to do, but Jonathon itemized everything and we were able to prioritize. There was no pressure at all to buy this or that. There were little details here and there and negotiations about what to do or not. Jonathon was very no-haggle and accommodating. They were very professional and courteous. The work was very high quality and has made a very noticeable difference in the house and they provided us with before and after airflow numbers to document the improvement in energy efficiency. It has shown too in the comfort and lower bills. I had a few questions about aspects of the work and they had no problem coming back out and knocking out a couple of punch-list items without any discussion of extra charges, etc. I'd highly recommend these guys from start to finish. We will definitely use them again anytime services of this type are needed!

The test went well. However, when all the nooks and crannys where air was leaking were added up in our house it appears we have a virtual 3'x'3 window open all the time causing our utility bills to be higher than they should be. Eco3 came back with a proposal to remedy these leaking areas and we are scheduled to start the repairs October 28, 2014. It's not going to be a cheap fix but it will improve our homes overall comfort and reduce our energy expenses. One important note. During the inspection they found I had a gas leak on the gas companies side of the meter. Before I knew what was going on Eco3 had called the gas company for me and waited for them to arrive to verify and fix the leak. Very impressive service on something they could have passed off to me to make the call. When we are ready to move, we will probably hire them as part of a home inspection process. The evaluation will provide and x-ray of sorts regarding how the home has been functioning.

Jonathan showed up both pre-event dates exactly on time. Was very professional, but also very approachable and honest. Showed real dedication to his company. He has delivered every promise on time. His crew arrived when scheduled and on time. They worked constantly, not taking a lunch, but working 8 to 4 both days.. Jonathan arrived with the crew for introductions on the first day. The crew was very pleasant and courteous and took pride in their work. They were very vigilant about cleaning up, even sweeping the den on the last day! The mgr of the team showed me the stats on their final work i.e. air pressure and it was spot-on. This is a highly professional and knowledge team and I highly recommend them.

We have not decided whether we are going to move forward with it or not. The man was very nice. We purchased a $99 Angie's List Big Deal for the energy evaluation. I think they are a great company. We just have not decided if we are going to move forward with the work they recommended because of the price.

They did a very good job. I ended up finding a whole energy home efficiency package. It helps to lower my overall power bill. The workers were very professional.

When we spoke on the phone about scheduling, they informed me that they can only do standalone homes. I live in a condo. They were very courteous and professional on the phone, but requested that I get a refund.

It was great. They sent one person out to do the job. He got the job done in about 90 minutes. The scheduling was easy and pretty quick.

Everything went well. From the first interaction with Eco Three, they were nothing but professional. The inspector listened, encouraged us to walk around with him, and ask questions. In essence, the company is bringing the home up to current building codes in terms of insulation. The recommended improvements were designed to prevent air from escaping the home through better insulating it. The printed report is professional and is documented along with pictures taken from a thermal leak detector. This device is used during the inspection to sense changes in temperature in walls and ceilings that indicate poorly insulated places. Pictures are taken with the device as well to show where these places are in the home and included in the report. The representative returned to our home another day to bring the report, go through it, and see if we had any questions. Most important, there were no "hard sale" or pressure tactics used! We said we wanted some time to discuss our decision whether to proceed or not and he asked if it would be alright to contact us in a week or so to follow up. We opted to proceed with the work due to high heating & cooling bills and due to the time we anticipate living in our home. Workers showed up to do the job and were professional and respectful of wife and kids at home. While performing work, workers discovered duct work not adequately sealed to air vent in the attic allowing air to escape into the attic to some degree (possibly 50%) before entering the vent (wasted heating & cooling!). We have had moderate temperatures since having the work completed, but look forward to seeing an impact on our bills. The Eco Three representative informed us that, on average, most people see a 20-25 percent reduction in their heating & cooling bills. Of course, we don't know if we will fall into this range, but certainly hope so. Overall, we were pleased with the work and believe our home to now be far better insulated than before. All company representatives were professional and courteous. Only time will tell if we realize sufficient cost savings to make the cost of the work worthwhile. However, if you're seeking a company to do this work, you can expect professionalism and courtesy from these guys.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. The price was very good. They gave us a quote for the work but we haven't had that done yet.

Everything was straight forward and there were no troubles with scheduling. They arrived on time to the appointments. They were able complete the installation of the insulation within only a couple of days after completing the evaluation. Everything turned out good.

Johnathan came out to perform an energy audit because I just bought an older home which is very difficult to heat/ cool. It cost over $100/ month to keep the house at 62 degrees in the winter. Johnathan discovered the ductwork to be leaking 30% of the air, there was hardly any attic insulation, windows were leaky, attic hatch leaking air, and other issues. After a week he came back with a detailed report outlining the most cost-effective solutions. I like the Birmingham WISE program that gives rebates for energy efficient improvements, and Johnathan gives you an instant discount so you do not have to wait for the rebate. We got our ductwork fixed with another company that works with our home insurance, and we got Eco-Three to air seal and insulate the attic. A lot of companies do not air seal attics before adding insulation, which is a critical mistake. Eco- Three is very knowledgeable about energy efficient improvements, and doing quality work. Everything went well, and I am excited about not only saving money but increasing the comfort of the home.

I was extremely satisfied. First the evaluation was very good. Next, they were punctual showing up for the work. They re-connected all of the duct work and it turned out that more was disconnected than they thought. They also reinforced the seams and connections with some cement-like paste. They caulked around the openings of the ducts to keep air from going into the wall, or anywhere besides out of the ducts. They sealed around some recessed lights and improved the moisture barrier in my crawl space underneath the house. They installed weather stripping around the door and even adjusted my door so that it closed better. They also sprayed insulation into my attic after sealing around the recessed lights. They did more than what they thought they were going to have to do, but didn't charge me any more and were able to do it all in one day, like they had planned. I just had the work done so I haven't had a bill yet, but my house feels warmer and more consistent. I'm very satisfied.

I used Eco Three to do a energy survey of my house, and to perform several energy upgrades, based on their results and recommendations. They were punctual, polite, professional, and cost effective. They also used care when doing the work to minimize any mess. I would recommend them to anyone looking for this type service.

They ran a blower door test, observed and evaluated my appliances, windows, doors, and moldings to locate air leaks and made recommendations on how to better insulate my home.

They provided a good overview of the energy issues in my house. Definitely a good place to start before spending any money trying to increase the energy efficiency of your house.

Jonathan and his staff at Eco Three were very thorough, professional and easy to work with. Jonathan performed an energy audit on a Wednesday at our home. The process took several hours and Jonathan took me around the home and showed me several areas where improvements could be made. He prepared a written evaluation and met with me the following week to review the evaluation and make recommendations. We have a fairly large home that was built in the 1980's that had really not been updated since in terms of insulation, materials, etc. His recommendations made sense and we went forward with the project. He and his crew returned next week and completed the work in one full day of work. They were all very professional and courteous. His foreman showed me the changes made at the end of the day and jonathan came back a few days later and we reviewed the work done again and answered my questions about things. We can tell a difference in terms of air quality and comfort in the home, especially in the upstairs areas. He estimated about 30% savings on energy costs with these upgrades. It is too soon to say if that will be the case or not, but I am hopeful and if that is the case, it will have been well worth it. Would recommend Eco Three to anyone looking to improve the energy efficiency of their home. It makes sense financially and helps reduce the impact of our energy consumption on our planet.

Jonathan with Eco Three did a wonderful job on his blower door test for our new home. Our building biologist recommended this test to see how airtight the home was and Jonathan said that the test results were that the house was under building airflow standards which meant that it was extremely airtight and needed no further sealing! We were not present during the blower door test but our builder was, and he said that he really liked working with Jonathan and would like to do business in the future with him. I'm not sure of the pricing, but I assume according to what others are saying online that this is the going rate with our size home. Jonathan was great to talk with over the phone and was expeditious and quite pleasant in returning emails.

It was absolutely a great process. Jonathan is a great person and I really enjoyed getting to know him some during my evaluation. I was really shocked at how much waste I had in my home from an energy standpoint. I knew it wasn't airtight, being an 80+ year old house, but I was still surprised. Jonathan explained to me that even in newly constructed homes there still seems to be a surprising amount of inefficiency. After the upgrades had been performed, I could immediately feel a difference! It was 43 degrees outside when I got home, my thermostat was set on 65, and my heat didn't run for over an hour and a half after I had gotten home. I couldn't believe it. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!
