Description of Work: My wife and I own a home in Carrington Farms, in Trussville, Alabama, and had originally received a flyer in the mail about Domestic Diva Housecleaning, but then realized that another friend of ours, who was already on Angies List, was also using them. So we had her to look them up for us, just because I wanted to see the other reviews for myself, and it was 100% positive reviews. We ended up having our entire home cleaned after we initially called, set up a walk thru to get a definite price, and was able to get on their schedule within just a couple of days. It was a very quick process from start to finish, very direct, no haggling or inflated/add-on costs, just to the point and extremely easy. And as a guy, I like for things to be as uncomplicated as possilbe. All of our bedrooms, both upstairs and downstairs, all of our bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and study were cleaned to perfection. The floors were thoroughly vacuumed before any mopping was done, and then mopped completely. The carpet throughout our home was cleaned extremely well, and the bathrooms were honestly cleaner than I had ever seen or smelled them. It was about as quick and painless as it could be. My wife was extremely happy and we all know that a happy wife means a happy life.

Description of Work: We live at Ross Bridge and to be honest, I usually don't do reviews and what not, but after some really, REALLY bad experiences with other services, I felt inclined to share our experience with Domestic Diva House Cleaning since it has been such a TRULY WONDERFUL experience up to the point. Domestic Diva House Cleaning took care of our entire home. We needed a really good "whole house" cleaning, and had not had one in quite some time as a result of some bad experiences with some other cleaning services in and around Birmingham, so my friend Allie recommended them because she had been using them for several months. I had almost given up on using a professional cleaning service because we have honestly had some really terrible experiences (with several different WELL KNOWN cleaning services, many of which are on Angies List so PLEASE be aware of that) but I am so glad that I gave it one more try. Domestic Diva did a fantastic, and EXTREMELY thorough job. I trust them to be in my home, around my children (we had some bad experiences with services who just were not kid-friendly), around our pets (some services just did not respect the fact that our pets are members of our family and we treat them as such), and around the things that we have a good bit of money sunk into that could easily be taken or broken (and unfortunately we have had some things stolen in the past and also had some of my husbands expensive computer equipment broken while the service was in our home). Our home was cleaned from top to bottom, exactly as I wanted it to be done, and in a very timely manner. I didn't feel like it was being rushed through, but they also didn't drag around, it was all business once they got into our home and it has been cleaned to the exact same standard as that very first cleaning EVERY single time since. One of the problems we had with some of the other well-known services was that it would be cleaned really well the first time, or maybe even the second time, but usually by the third cleaning the overall quality of the work would become mediocre, at best. It was like they tried to lock in our business on those first couple of trips, but then once they felt like they had us I would find entire sections of floors that would not be cleaned/mopped/etc, the furniture wouldn't be dusted or polished like it should be, they would show up HOURS later than they were scheduled which meant we were dealing with cleaning people in our home, and to be honest, in our way, when we would get home from work and trying to deal with kids and supper, etc. And it just really became a problem for us. Also, we had SEVERAL pieces of my jewelry go missing with the OTHER services we used (not anything extremely expensive, but it was my jewelry and shouldn't have been stolen) as well as a lot of DVD's, and some of my sons XBOX games...things we knew we should be where we left them but they would just never turn up again. And it was gradual, it wasn't like they would take it all at once, it was one or two things each cleaning until after three or four cleanings we knew we weren't imagining things. We did call the companies, and we were always told they spoke to the employees and felt certain they were being honest about not taking the stuff, but we know that a whole lot of stuff went missing. Which brings me to another point, and I only say all of this because I want to STRESS that we have not had even a single problem, or a single thing go missing since we've been using Domestic Diva's service, with the other services, each cleaning we had 2-3 different people in our home. Yes, they got done a bit quicker, but even with three workers, it was still taking them 2-3 hours, and we are now getting a much higher quality service with just a single individual in our home from Domestic Diva (sometimes a second person but it is always the same person(s) and never a guessing game of who is going to be showing up this week) PLUS with just one person she is usually done in the same amount of time it was taking three people from the other services...and the work is 100% better. So that tells me that #1 she is working her butt off and #2 the folks from the other services must have been doing a whole lot of butt-dragging or else they should have been done a lot sooner. I just was not comfortable with a parade of different employees, and it was different ones each cleaning, coming into my home. I like the that with this service I know EXACTLY who is going to be there, they are always on time and always call if they are going to be a few minutes late (I noticed another reviewer mentioned that too), and I have COMPLETE peace of mind while she is in my home. I am paying SLIGHTLY more for this service than some of the others, but by the time I replaced everything that was stolen and worried myself sick each week wondering what was going to be missing when I got home, or if the work was even gonna be done or done correctly, I would much rather pay an extra $25 and have an excellent experience with total peace of mind. If you choose to cut corners and save $20-30 then guess what, you are gonna get what you pay for. Some things are just worth paying a few dollars more for. We are very pleased (if you had not already figured that out) with Domestic Diva House Cleaning Service and I have referred them to several of my friends (and I get a referral discount on my cleanings if the person I referred gets a paid cleaning so that's a plus)...my husband is happy that I am happy and as a family we don't have to worry about the cleaning service robbing us blind or being rude to our children if they happen to walk into the area that is being cleaned. I would highly recommend Domestic Diva House Cleaning!!

Description of Work: My friend, who also lives at Ross Bridge, just wrote a really long, and really good review for Domestic Diva so I will keep mine short and to the point. I have referred Domestic Diva to several people over the past few months, including my friend Susan who lives next door, and each one has been extremely happy with the service and continues to use them. I have been using them since the first part of August for the cleaning of our whole house on a every other week basis and we have been so very pleased. Reliable, attention to detail, great, detailed cleaning of each and every room they clean, the same people in our home each time, no strangers, no security issues at all since they have been cleaning for us, they aren't late, they do what they say they will do and they do it very efficiently. They supply all products and cleaning supplies such as vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, cleaners, everything. It's just a wonderful, all-in-one service. I just give them the code to get into our home and when I get home from work everything is squeaky clean. No hassles, no issues, no having to call and complain, just a really solid, really reliable, and extremely superior quality service.

Description of Work: Kristi is great! She cleans our bathrooms to a sparkle, does a good job dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linens, kitchen counters, stove tops and appliances. The house always smells so clean when I get home! $200 for approx 6000 sq ft, 4 bedrooms 5 bath home.

Description of Work: She did a great job on our home! She came with all of her supplies so it was so nice not to worry about having everything I needed in stock for the cleaning. She also asked if there were any specific products I prefer. She cleaned the living areas and bedrooms. Everything looked great when she was finished. I will definitely use her in the future! Description of Work: 1. Cleaned entire interior of home 2. Cleaned bathrooms completely: tubs, shower, vanities, dusted pictures/ornaments on walls, floor was scrubbed 3. Kitchen was scrubbed from top to bottom: stainless steel was cleaned with stainless steel polish, counters were cleaned and disinfected, sinks were cleaned, floors were vaccumed, dust mopped, and then cleaned with a wet mop 4. Bedrooms had linens changed (I just left the clean linens on the bed for her), beds were made, every surface dusted, floors were mopped (hardwood) and vaccumed (carpet) 5. Living room and rec room was dusted, vaccumed and mopped.

Description of Work: Domestic Diva cleaned the interior of our home. She cleaned the floors (both carpet and hardwood), she scrubbed the bathrooms, the toilets (inside and outside of toilet), she scrubbed our showers, she cleaned the sink vanities, took out the trash in the bathrooms and the rest of the house, she cleaned the bedrooms, vacuumed, made the beds after changing the linens, she dusted EVERYTHING and used furniture polish where needed, she fluffed living room furniture, dusted, mopped hardwood, and vacuumed all dust and dog hair in every single room, she dusted the window sills, pictures on the walls, cleaned the staircase, she scrubbed my kitchen until it shined, sinks, cleaned all counter surfaces, used stainless steel cleaner on the fridge, stove, and microwave, cleaned the interior of the microwave--she cleaned our home just like it was her own. She did an excellent job! We initially hired Domestic Diva to clean our home on a weekly basis the first week of July 2012. She came highly recommended by a friend of ours who had used her for a special occassion cleaning at their lake home, and our friend had heard about her through another friend of theirs. My point being she comes highly referred. We called her completely short notice during a holiday week and honestly weren't expecting for her to be available, but fortunately for us she was able to fit us right into her schedule. She arrived a few minutes early the day of our first cleaning (and has been early or exactly on time every time since then) and immediately went to work. When she was done that first day our whole house looked amazing! She is extremely thorough with her cleaning and honestly seems to clean our home as if it were her own home. She is very pleasant and at this point I am 100% comfortable with her cleaning our home whether we are there or whether we are at work or away on a trip. She has proved herself to be extremely trushworthy. I would also like to add that we have had other housecleaning services come into our home in the past and have had some bad experiences which is why we had went so long without one, but Domestic Diva has been a breath of fresh air. Unlike some housecleaners, she does not talk on her cell phone while she is cleaning, no texting or fooling around (we had one older housecleaner that we tried out who used a bluetooth and would literally stay on her phone, LOUDLY, from the time she walked in the door until she walked out to leave--I just think that is rude, especially when the homeowners are home and trying to watch TV, enjoy their family, etc). Domestic Diva has cleaned our home on a weekly basis since July (2012) and we are thrilled with her services. The bathrooms, toilets, showers, and floors are always sparkling clean--my kitchen, cabinets, counters, and appliances always shine when she is done, I have had zero complaints. She is puntual, doesn't drag around once she gets inside your home--very quick and efficient, she is very flexible with her scheduling if you need to get extra services (she will provide deep clean services if needed), and compared to some of the larger "franchise" maid services we checked into, her pricing is VERY affordable (one service wanted to charge $160 AN HOUR)...I think most of her homes average between $150-250 depending on the size of the home (could be more if it's an extremely large home, I'm sure or less for an apartment, studio, etc). I would highly recommend Domestic Diva for your home and hope this review has been helpful. She is an extremely nice lady and provides excellent customer service for her clients.
