I hired Doug to fix a gas leak. Doug did great work, came on the weekend after hours. He only charged me $65. I was surprised because I didn't expect a plumber to even walk into my home for less than $100 on a weekend night. I was very pleased with the service, referred several to him and knew I would never hire anyone else but Doug. The time came I needed another plumber and I called him. It wasn't a big job, he was going to have to come back to do it. He told me to call him at a certain time, I did. He told me the time he would do the job. He didn't show, I called, he didn't answer, I sent text messages, he didn't answer. He finally answered hours later, was kind of rude, I let it go, he promised to be there first thing the next day.. He didn't show and didn't call. This started three days of him promising me times he would be there and him not showing up. After several calls, having already paid him for a part, I wanted the money back and to cancel the job. He eventually threatened me and threatened property damage to my home. I never researched Doug online because I had used him before and was happy with him. After this happened, I researched Doug and found out my first experience with Doug was not the norm. It seems my second experience with Doug (rude, hateful and unreliable) is the normal experience with Doug. I wasn't even going to do a review but after thinking about it, I changed my mind. Being so unprofessional is bad enough, but when a man starts threatening people physically and with property damage, that needs to be made known. The difference in the man I hired the first time and the second time was astounding. If I had read this review after my first experience with Doug, I wouldn't have believed the person was talking about the same man. Do not hire this man. If you are fortunate to not have any issues with him, if you have a problem later from his work or hire him for another job, it won't turn out well and you're likely to be threatened. Someone that threatens people so easily will one day follow through with that threat. I am not giving the location of service or the date of service because I do not need someone unhinged, like Doug seems to be, hunting me down

I made a claim through my home warranty and had to follow up several times to get the provider to my home. He was generally arrogant and pushy while assessing the problem, and his assessment was contrary to the prior plumber I hired. To be fair, I'm not sure which of them was correct. More importantly, he hit my mailbox on the way out, splitting the post and damaging the box. I had it replaced with the same basic mailbox and he has refused to pay for the replacement. When he would not work with me amicably and professionally, I had to file a claim with the home warranty company.

Doug came out on the day and time he was scheduled. The service charge was only $75. I was at work. He sent pictures of some baby wipes he snaked out of the drain line. He ran water down the drain for several minutes and had no more back up. Great. I paid the $220 and thanked him. Two days later, it backed up again. (We were out of town for those two days). He agreed to come back out and simply look at the rest of the drain system since he never looked past the garage the first time. He said he was busy and couldn't come out right away. I told him to put me on the schedule and let me know when he was coming. I waited a week with no call from him. The drain continued to back up. I contacted him and he said he could come out in 60- 90 days. Work was slow and he had to work out of town (even though he was too busy to come back out). After much discussion, he agreed to meet me a week later. He never showed. When I called him to tell him what I thought, he hung up on me. Terrible service.
