All went very well. These gentlemen arrived promptly and set to work quietly and efficiently. They kept me informed by text when rain delays required careful scheduling. As one expects in maintenance jobs, a few problems not first identified came to light as they worked. Each time Mr. Hernandez came to the door to get me to look at the situation and discuss what was needed. Nothing was severe enough to require a change in the estimated labor cost. These smart workers not only did the obvious work; they were experienced enough to identify an unexpected source for water that had rotted a soffit. A roofer had neglected to put tar paper under shingles near a corner, so water was reaching the plywood of the porch roof. Hernandez advised me to let the small area dry completely so he could assess the damage to the plywood. Luckily the plywood was sound, so he shopped for tar paper and shingles to match my roof. He did the shopping; I paid only the amount on the receipt -- an important service for me and at no extra charge. Hernandez brought with him a competent roofer (not part of the Brothers team) and the roofer completed the expanded repair quickly and tidily. I think Edgar Hernandez and Brothers Painting and Home Remodeling are thoroughly professional. They did the work as described and within the time frame expected. They made zero clutter! They are skilled and courteous. Brothers is newly incorporated as a company in Alabama, striking out on their own after they've worked with a larger company. I always insist on seeing proof of insurance and proper business licenses, and I found these documents to be in order. Highly recommend.
