I thought he was upstanding and then it went downhill. He would arrive after 12 pm or 2 pm to work on project. He went over budget. He and his guys did not frame up the lower porch, left boards on deck and lower level uneven (some are extended further out than other boards), hammered nails in incorrectly and now they are exposed, used cheap material to screen in porch and it looks like mesh, cement floor (they laid) is uneven (it slanted when you enter the area), mesh/screen material wasn’t stapled neatly/properly to wood, boards installed inside framing which left a gap between mesh and boards. I wish I could attach pictures. Also, the wood on the lower level deck is falling apart now. I paid him all of his money but I will pursue a lawsuit. I will now have to seek another contractor to demolish and redo the deck due to the poor work. I recently paid a new contractor to redo the porch & they did excellent work. .
