Verbal explanation that the turn key job charge was based on two men working most of the day. In actually it took one man about ? a day. In fact the second man left after 15 minutes on my job, never touching a shovel. In my opinion the charge was deliberately inflated. These people are unethical, stay away from them; there are too many good plumbing companies in our area.

Evans will waive the call to find out what was wrong if you hire them to do the work, which they did and not a lot of plumbing companies will do that. They were real nice about giving me advice about what kind of toilet to get so I wouldn't spend too much money. They were punctual, gave me a written estimate and everything went fine. I found them on Angie's List.

Their professionalism and quality of work were very good. I would use them again if they were cheaper.

We bought a unit and signed a service contract with them. They seemed to be very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable about what they were doing. So far, I have had no complaints.

During fall checkup,Steel City found my furnace inop and recommended replacement as it was over 10 years old.I got an estimate on a whole system of approx 13,000.I had been less than satisfied with the company for some time so called Evans for a second estimate.They were booked up,but had the service manager come out on his way in to work to meet with me.This really impressed me!Their price for what I believe is a slightly better system was a couple thousand less.The model is brand new and took about two days to come in.The technicians who installed it were very polite and professional,and did a great job,answering all my questions along the way.My water heater had been leaking for some time,so I replaced it too,and got a good price.Everyone at Evans was a real pleasure to deal with.I am looking forward to calling them for any future needs.

The serviceman came out in a timely manner and was very courteous. The price to rebuild a leaky tub faucet was $268.00, and it works well now. The only reason I had that done was there is a charge of $50 just to come out and give an estimate that we would have lost had we had nothing done. The other work we wanted done but did not go ahead and do was to change out 2 out door faucets ($534), replace a homeowner furnished kitchen faucet ($340). The total price would have been $ 1142.00 and for what? I understand the larger companies have overhead but this estimate was way out of line in my opinion.

Called Evans just before lunch and they were on site around 2:00 pm on the same day (12/31/07). Terry and Michael were very professional and courteous especially since the repair was in a fairly hard to reach location. They were thorough and did not leave until the leak was fixed and the sink was draining normally. Aside from the hole in the wall, they cleaned up the repair debris and put everything back the way it was when they arrived.

We thought we had a clogged drain after water backed up in our kitchen sink and flooded the cupboard below. Josh of Ben Franklin Plumbing diagnosed the problem as a routing issue between the dishwasher drain hose and the garbage disposal, and told me how to fix it. He only charged for the service call. He could have gone ahead and cleared the drain between the house and street, and charged us for it, but instead he took the time to diagnose the real problem. The part was less than $2 and took 5 minutes to repair myself. We're very satisfied and will definitely use Ben Franklin Plumbing again.

I called and made an appointment for two days later (based on my schedule, not theirs). I was given a window of time for the appointment and told that I would receive a call approximately one hour before the service person arrived. Everything happened right on time, as promised. The technician diagnosed my issue (faulty connection between the tank and bowl), gave me a written estimate (with an estimated time of completion) and did the work. He was EXCELLENT, courteous, professional, efficient. He was so courteous, he would let me know when he was going to use the shop-vac to alert me to the noise! I highly recommend this company!

We really like this company a lot. They do a very good job and I am pleased with the work. They are friendly every time they come out and answer all of our questions. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had planned to replace my aging tub faucets and even bought replacements for the plumber to install. The service rep said he could replace the existing stems and did so, saving me hundreds of dollars. Now I can return the replacement parts I bought as well. My only minor quibble is that one of the sets he put in don't have "H" and "C" on the handles, just an arrow (shower handle), but it isn't immediately obvious.

The plumber was 30 minutes late, made excuses for it which turned out to be lies. He did not cover his shoes when he entered our home, which is a promise made on the website. It took him almost 5 hrs to solve a routine problem. He didnt have the part he needed and took an hour and a half to go find the part, leaving me wasting my time waiting. When asked about the $5 per minute discount advertised if theyre late, I was given qualifications that I didnt meet which were not disclosed prior to this time, in the Yellow Pages ad or on their website. I was already late for work because of the plumbers incompetence, did not have time to argue the point so I paid in full. When we called the office later we were given the runaround. We finally got to speak with the owner, Mr. Corley. He told my wife: "Lady, you are just looking for a free ride. And Lady, I tell you what, this ones going to be on us. Im glad I dont have to live with you, Lady." He then hung up. How rude!

I had a pipe burst in my basement. I called Evan's Services based on reports from Angie's List. I called Friday 8 am and asked for a plumber that day if possible and was told there would not be one available until Monday! Unfortunately, I could not wait that long to fix my pipe.

Although I thought the price was quite high for what they did, I thought they did a good job of getting our sink unclogged quickly. They are very quick at returning phone calls and getting here when I need them.

He was very responsible and he took his time to find the leak that had slowed down the pressure that kept my toilets from flushing good. He was right on time from what he told me over the phone and it only took about an hour. I would recommend him to everyone.

I didnt like them at all. They were like a plumbing monopoly. They were very expensive. They charged us a lot of money just to snake the drain. We called them another time to get a quote on some work and they tried to rip us off. They told us we needed things we didnt.

They really went above and beyond for us. We had an unusual problem and our tank wouldn t stay lit, but they never gave up. They never could figure out what the problem was, but they replaced the tank 3 times and upgraded my tank until it worked properly. They really honored their agreement and we only paid for the original tank.

We had already used them for service on the furnace and air conditioner for many years. Our water heater stopped giving warm water. I think it was only a day to get a person out and to get the new one installed. I have no idea what we paid since my husband handled everything. I can tell you they were very friendly. Also they knew what they were doing when they came to do the job.

They charged us $150 for simply replacing two washers and they were done in less than 30 minutes. They were skilled clean polite and professional of course. Their charging practices was what cost them my future business.

We used them before for plumbing leaks and were satisfied. One day our cooling unit went out. We got service the same day, they were able to remove the old and get the new one up in running in one day. We were happy we did not have to go without it. It is a major brand with a good warranty on parts and labor. I won't share the price but it was very good. We are completely happy.

Evans Services is a very reliable and professional company. They are a little pricey but I feel that I am getting what I am paying for. They also do my regular maintenance two times a year on our heating and air conditioning for $139 annually. When they replaced the fan they were here in a short time and did a high quality job. Our air conditioner works great now.

I had a big clog in the main sewer line leading away from the house. No water could get out, and it was backing up. The company was very prompt in responding to my call. They just have a good attitude about the work they do. It was unclogged and working normal very quick.

Our drain had gotten so clogged, they had to snake it and clean out the pipes underneath. It took about an hour. We've used this plumber before and they are decent and reliable.

I was not pleased with this company and I was not happy with the price either. He spent several hours out working on the unit only to tell me it would cost another $6000. I would not use this company anymore.

Their designer did the planning and layout. The tradesmen came out and did all the plumbing work very efficiently so that the other sub-contractors were able to get in the following day to begin their work. We always found them to be sufficiently staffed and able to respond the same day if you have a leak or any type of emergency.
