Authentic Restoration

Authentic Restorations did the initial roof inspection very promptly and I was quite happy with them. My realtor had to meet them at the house for that initial inspection and she was impressed enough with the professionalism, courtesy, & thoroughness that she requested a bunch of cards from Scott, so that she could recommend them to future clients. All good stuff there. When the house was finally ours & we wanted to get the work done, Authentic Restorations was very nice to deal with, but it took about a month to finally get someone out to the house to accomplish the work, which was frustrating. As you can imagine, a broken attic vent fan allows the attic to get pretty hot in an Alabama July. To be fair, the last week or so of that delay was due to weather, as the work couldn't be done with thunderstorms overhead and rain coming down. Perhaps summer vacation plans contributed to the delay prior to that. In the end, it's a small thing, & if I had expressed more concern over the timing, I feel confident that Scott et al at Authentic Restorations would have responded to my perceived "emergency". They're a pleasure to deal with & more than fair. I feel that the work was done in a fine manner and Scott provided me with receipts for the attic vent fan they installed to allay any concerns I might have about price for materials. I will happily use Authentic Restorations again. They know what they're doing and they treated me fairly & honestly.

It looks wonderful. So very pleased with their work. "Scott" is a super nice and personable guy. I will be calling them again when we need additional work on our home. Hopefully new flooring and a new outside deck soon.

After experiencing the A+ job Authentic Restoration did replacing my roof a few months ago, I asked them to submit a bid to redesign and replace my rusted out gutters. Since their bid was the lowest of the four I received, it was a no-brainer to contract with them to do the work. Chris Baldus called a few days before the installation date to make sure that would still work for me, and he called again the afternoon of the installation to say that the work had been completed and to ask that I call him if I had any problems with the gutters - which I have not. There was literally no sign that his crew had been at my house other than the shiny new gutters and downspouts - the old gutters, downspouts, and and debris that may have been generated in the installation was gone.Once again, I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

We found him on Angie’s List. He gave us a quote last week. I have scheduled it for mid-June. The quote is for about $15,000. He was very professional. He seems very knowledgeable and he knew what he was doing. We were very pleased with him and that’s why we hired him. He has always returned calls. He has been very good. I don’t have any complaints.

They were very responsive. I searched other roofers and ended up going with someone else.

This was really an easy process once I got Authentic Restoration involved. I had already called my insurace company and they had sent an adjuster out. I received a quote from another company which was higher than what my insurance was going to pay. I contacted Authentic Restoration for a second quote. Chris came to our house, explained the process and explained to me that many times the insurace company does not include everything in the first estimate. Chris and his group contacted my adjuster and had modifications made to the claim. The material arrived the day before the roof was to be completed. I had promised them a deposit check once material arrived. Chris went out of his way to come by my office to pick up the check. The next day the crew showed up and began work. The roof was completed in one day. They did an excellent job at cleaning up. You cannot expect them to find every nail but they came really close!!! A few weeks later painters came in to repair sheet rock and paint. They arrived on time, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves (I think my floor was cleaner after they left) and were done in less than a day. I love my new roof and the interior work looks great!! This process was much easier than I thought it would be. Their expertise of working with insurance companies helped me get the best roof possible and a better roof than I would have ended up with had I worked with the insurance company myself. I would use them again and have referred them to several friends.

Their solution was to start with the simplest, least costly method as a first step. Project went well. They kept me posted on when the work could be scheduled. The repair was pretty straightforward once they inspected the work of my previous contractors and removed incorrectly installed shingles. Once the roof repair was complete we waited till I was satisfied that the leak had been stopped before completing the interior sheet rock repair. The interior work was as neat and tidy as sheet rock can be I think. Only minor residual dust in the room. After several heavy rains the roof appears to be leak free but they made it clear that they were available to return if there are any further problems. This was a very professional and courteous result.

I LOVE this company and highly recommend them for any roofing job. I wish I had them initially install my roof. Crest roofing initially installed it and it was not properly done. They are now out of business and glad they are. My roof is 2 yrs old and developed a significant leak around the stove vent and water was running down into my interior den wall. I saw they were highly recommended on Angie's List and called Authentic Roofing. They were concerned and quick to come out, Very professional and the price very reasonable. They even fixed things I did not even know I needed fixing like nails that where coming out of the roof. When we had another big rain they did a follow up call to make sure everything was fixed. They are THE VERY BEST AND WILL BE USING THEM FOR ALL OF MY ROOFING NEEDS.

After a severe hailstorm I called Authentic Restoration to see about having someone come and inspect my roof. The person answering their phone was very polite and took down all of my information. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by the General Manager, Chris Baldus. He arranged to have someone come and inspect the roof the next day, which happened just as promised. The following day, Chris called me with the results of the inspection and said that there was in fact some hail and wind damage to my roof. We then made an appointment for him to come and assist me in filing the insurance claim. I am so glad that he did this! He was very polite to the insurance contact person and was able to provide her with much more detailed information than I would have been able to do on my own. Chris requested to be present when the insurance adjuster came to inspect the damage. This was a great idea as well, as he able to ask technical questions that I would never had known to ask. At the close of the inspection, the adjuster approved the repairs. Before Chris left, he helped me choose a new style of roof and we set a date for the installation. On the day of installation, the installers arrived at the time promised. Chris had anticipated that the work might take more than one day to complete, and this turned out to be the case. He was courteous enough to let me know that late in the afternoon of the first day. On the afternoon of the second day, he called to let me know that the work was completed, advised that the next step would be to wait for the final check from the insurance company, and asked me to give him a call when it arrived. When I received the final insurance check, I called Chris and he and Scott met me at my workplace to collect the final payment. I had offered to mail the payment to him, but he said that it was important to him to shake my hand and thank me in person for the opportunity of my business. This last statement is an indication of the courteous professionalism that was the entire experience of having my roof replaced by the nice people of Authentic Restoration. I would HIGHLY reccommend this company.

I came home from work to discover a small puddle of water in the house which was apparently caused by a roof leak. After consulting this website I called Authentic Restoration. Since the leak had come down the wall I wasnted to make sure I called someone who could also do interior repairs if necessary. It was a few minutes before 5 pm when I called their office. I left a message and got a call back before 8 am the next morning. I was told that Chris would give me a call that day to schedule a time and day to come take a look at the problem. Chris called as I had been told he would and we scheduled for him to come out 2 days later to give me an estimate. Both Chris and Scott came to take a look at the roof. After taking pictures so they could show me what they saw up on the roof, they told us where they thought the leak was occurring, an idea of what they thought was causing the problem and suggested we replace an area of roofing around where the leak was likely occurring. They gave me a firm quote for the work. My husband asked them to put in a ridge vent in while they did the repair work and their price included this work as well. I was concerned about any interior repairs that needed to be done. They told us what would need to be done inside once the roof was repaired. They were able and willing to do that work, but because it ended up being minimal, we decided to tackle that ourselves. The next week both Chris and Scott were here with the workers to get the roof repaired. Once they took off the tiles in the area where the leak occurred they found the specific issue, which required repairing a little more of the roof than originally expected. The work was completed within a few hours at the price we were originally quoted. We are very happy with the work done and will definintely recommend Authentic Restoration. As a matter of fact, I have already passed on their information.

Found this company on Angie's list and read reviews. Received several quotes from other companies. Decided to go with Authentic Restoration because of their attention to detail and their courtesy and professionalism. The work was actually completed while we were away for a few days. Upon our return Chris came over to the house and walked us through everything. We had one minor issue and it was fixed to our satisfaction immediately. We would recommend this company to our friends and family

I found Authentic through Angie's list. I called Authentic and Chris quickly called me back. They came over and walked me through the process--even calling the insurance company for me (while I had to talk to the claims rep, they still sped it up by getting my insurance company on the line). They met me at the house when the adjuster came to inspect the roof. They stayed with me through the process until the insurance company agreed to pay. Once I received the check, they quickly moved to schedule the time. The roofing took just over a day. They did a nice clean up job (although still finding a few nails in the yard...I think it's impossible to get every one of them). They sent over the painter a two weeks later (delay due to my request) and I the ceilings look like new. A very good customer experience overall. At no time did I feel rushed or not heard. I would definitely use this company again with no reservations, and will recommend their work to others!

They did an excellent, excellent job. We found them on Angie's List, and were able to use a coupon. They came highly recommended. All the comments written about them are true. They came out, looked around, brought us a quote in a binder, and showed us what they were going to do. Then they did it! They came back for the walk through, and tidied up some straw that was out of place. My bushes are in great shape, not torn up. They cleaned up every thing, and all the workers were very polite. I couldn't be more delighted! The only recommendation I have, is that they use several crews. One time, they couldn't communicate with my husband, because no one spoke English. At that point, they contacted some one who spoke English, and it wasn't a big deal. I want to emphasize, this was not a big problem, and I don't want it to detract from the excellent job. I thought the price was a bit high, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I would use them again.

Overall, the process went without a hitch. Scott came out and met me to appraise the situation in order to give me a quote. He arrived on time, evaluated the degree of the damage, what would be required to fix it and gave me a quote the following day. His quote fell about midway between the other quotes I had on the work and he assured me that the work would be of high quality. In all steps of the process, Scott and the others associated with Authentic Restoration were accommodating, professional and punctual and genuinely interested in making sure I was satisfied with their work. In all ways possible, I was pleased with the work Authentic did (it was indeed of high quality) and the way I was treated. I highly recommend them for your roofing/siding needs as they place quality of work and customer satisfaction at the top of their list of priorities.

I had trouble getting someone to come out and look at it. So, I found them on Angie's List and noticed the great reviews. I am satisfied with their services.

EXPECTED GOOD...GOT WONDERFUL. From the time I spoke with Donna on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She sent Scott to look at the roof, he saw and took pics of the hail and wind damage.Scott sent out Mary Nell Thornton, claims specialist, to help me navigate all the paperwork. Mary Nell and Scott Bullard got together with Chris Baldus,General Manager and they guided me through insurance forms and questions. When i asked questions or asked for suggestions, I was answered with respect. They suggested that I needed more attic vents. Gave a very large variety of options..large range of prices. Talked to me about the best that I COULD AFFORD. The sheetrock replacement and painting looksbetter than it did before the damage They also left my house cleaner than when they started. Very pleased with work, price and outcome. These folks still remember when customer service was your main focus.They work hard to make clients happy, put out a good product and retaint a good reputation. I hate the fact that I had storm damage. Frustrating, time consuming and you always have to put out cash the insurance does not pay. But I am blessed to have added so many new friends in my life. 2 thumbs up!!!

In total, he was at the house about 20 minutes, and the job was done in one visit for a great price. BEST of all, I was concerned that when I called someone out, they would immediately give me the song and dance about hail damage and insurance claims, and try to get me to buy a new roof... no chance with Scott... he found and fixed the problem, and said the rest of the roof looked pretty good. When the time comes that I do need a new roof, Chirs and Scott at Authentic Restoration will be the first ones I call! Last night it rained pretty hard, and all morning has been a steady drizzle. I went up in the attic to check things out, and where there would have been standing water before is now BONE DRY!

This was a great experience from the start. When I called, someone answered on the first ring and put me immediately in touch with the individual that handled repairs. He agreed to come out within a couple days. I asked if they would give me about an hours notice before arriving, and they did exactly that. They showed up on-time, listened to what I wanted and got right to work. My roof shingles are a color that is not commonly used any more, so they didn't have any on their truck. One worker stayed to keep working while the other went to purchase shingles to match my roof. I felt like this was going the extra step. I had originally only asked for the boots to be replaced on two stacks because one was leaking badly into the house, but they were both rotten. However, while they were working, I realized I should go ahead and ask if they would replace the damaged shingles in a couple other areas. They did this for me without charging me any extra- even though it probably wasn't a big job for them- I was really grateful and it was a great customer service move!! As a bonus, they left me with some extra shingles to match my roof in case of future need. I gotta say, I was really impressed. Whenever you call a roofing company for a small repair, I always expect them to be in a rush... as if they have to get on to the important jobs of whole roof replacements. These guys were great. The work looks great, and most importantly the leak has stopped! I waited a couple weeks before writing this review, so that I could be sure that after several hard rains the leak was still fixed and there hasn't been a drop. I am not surprised. I would call these guys again. This is the kind of experience that makes you WISH you needed to replace your whole roof because you'd know just who to call. There's not a lot of things that make me wish I needed to replace a roof :) Seriously, good experience... trustworthy, quality work, polite and professional employees.

Great. Communicated clearly and was very timely with communication. The work crew was clean and quick. I will reuse this company if the need arises.

They were hard workers. Only quit to eat lunch and a short break. We would recommend them to anyone. Price was fine.

They had a rough start the first day with two blowouts on trailer, but after that, the roofers were hard, steady workers, polite, easy to have around kids, no language, and kind. They did good work, cleaned up well. Paint they used was fabulous. Thorough, polite, and professional.
