Authentic Restoration

Authentic Restoration did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof. They took care of everything-including dealing with my insurance company. I didn't have to do anything except pick out my color! They did the job when they said they would, they called when they said they would. They have a great rating with the BBB (which is important to me)They did a great job on the roof and picking up the mess afterwards. A big thumbs up!

Crew arrived on time, did a great job and left my kitchen in better condition than it had been. I will have them back for any job I might have in the future!

I had some hail damage to our roof and Authentic Restoration was recommended by my neighbor, so I called and they came out to assess the damage. Three people arrived when they said and indicated that it might be good to file a claim on my insurance. (I had another company contact me and tell me the same thing prior to Authentic Restoration, but I didn't trust their assessment and then called Authentic to get a second opinion). They walked me through the entire process from how these types of claims are processed to what to expect upon completion of the project. They also were on hand when the insurance agent came to the house to assess the damage in order to answer questions, etc. Throughout the process, my contact person, Alfred, was very responsive and kept me in the loop with all that was going on; he was very professional. I would ask for him if you decide to use Authentic. The roofing crew they used were professional and completed the job in one day. Alfred assured me that my satisfaction was important and they delivered. They also provide a 5 year warranty for leaks and hopefully, I won't need to call them on it, but at least it's available in case I need it. All in all, I would highly recommend Authentic Restoration.

Chris and Scott responded immediately to my call for an estimate to replace my roof. They arrived promptly on scheduled date and examined roof. They worked with insurance company to expedite repair and claim payment. They also performed additional work on gutters at my request. All work was done exceptionally well. They and their workers always arrived when scheduled. They cleaned up when they were done. I highly recommend them for roof repair. You could not ask for better people to work with than Chris and Scott. Thanks for a job well done!

They came to our house and assessed the damage, then told us what it would take to replace. They gave us an exact timeline AND met with our insurance adjuster to confirm what they had already explained to us. Once the insurance was on board and we agreed to all the expenses, they set a date for our replacement and VOILA! we had a new roof.

After having a negative experience with another contractor doing work at my home, I was so pleased work with professionals who did quality work and prided themselves in installing a quality product, making excellent repairs, and having a satisfied customer. I wish to keep the amount we spent private despite that not being an option. When left unfilled the price automatically reads $0.00. We noticed an area in our nursery where it was obvious water was making its way into our house. We are first time home owners and have had to find out the hard way how much we do not know about home repair and were prepared to have our roof replaced. We called Authentic Restoration and made an appointment for someone to come out for an estimate. Chris Baldus and Scott Bullard arrived on time and were very easy to work with. Without being condescending, they were able to recognize my inexperience with roofing repairs and talked me through the work thoroughly. They explained that if my roof would have to be replaced because of excess rain or storm damage that they were prepared to talk to our insurance to minimize the cost to us. I found this extremely helpful and relieved me of the financial stressors involved with replacing a roof. These guys were able to discover the source of our leak, determine that a new roof was not necessary, and replace the missing shingle causing the leak in no time. We appreciate that they were able to fix the problem immediately. I would recommend this company a hundred times over and will use them for all future roofing issues.

The work was completed in a very professional way as noted above. The Company was very helpful in contacting and working with the insurance agent and inspector. They did not rush to collect for the job and allowed ample time to test the roof for water tight integrity with several rain events. No extras or tack on cost was seen. Job cost was what the contract provided. A job well done.

I think I've already said everything I can think of. There is not one negative event I can remember from this experience. If you have roof damage, these should be your go-to people.

After it was determined that the roof damage such that it needed to be replace, Authentic Restoration met with our insurance representative (Nationwide) and all agreed on the work needed. The roof was then replaced. In the process, our deck (composite decking) was slightly damaged, which was corrected immediately. I whole heartedly recommend Authentic Restoration.

We had a big plumbing problem and needed to cut the wall on the Den. Authentic restoration did a great job. From the moment I called the secretary, Chris, and the workers were very professional. Chris was on time and call ahead to set the painters, he worked around my time. They cut the wall and came back after the plumber finished his work. The den looks great!

These people are amazing! We talked to several roofers before signing up to Angie's List and reading about Authentic. They were the best of all worlds - friendly, thorough, and professional. They walked us through each stage of the process, constantly checked on the quality of the work being done (which was excellent), and finished the job exactly as promised. We plan to use them for upcoming interior work on our house, and HIGHLY recommend their for the wide array of home repair and home improvement services they offer.

Had a leak in the roof which caused staining on the dining room ceiling. Contacted Authentic and spoke with Chris. He came out to the house and inspected the roof. He told me he believed I had storm damage and recommend I call the insurance company. He met the insurance person at the house at the time of inspection and submitted a written estimate. The men showed up on time to complete the roof and were finished in one day. They cleaned up all the materials before they left as if they had never been there. A week later the painters showed up to paint the dining room ceiling. They were prompt and very professional completing the job within the day. Dealing with Chris at Authentic was a real pleasure.

The initial meeting got off to a rough start; however, using this company was the best decision that I have made concerning major repairs to my house. While I was somewhat abrupt during the initial meeting...Chris was not. He did not waiver in his professionalism, his presentation, nor his quote. His crew arrived as expected and completed the job as Chris and Scott had estimated. The staff provided counter information to the insurance company as some items had been overlooked by the insurance adjuster. Chris provided additional support in order to clear the release of funds from the insurance company. I would consider the company for addition work when needed.

I was extremely pleased with the process from start to finish. Alfred was involved from beginning to end and was very attentive and professional. He explained things clearly and followed thru on all the details. He always answered my calls promptly. He gave me some direction regarding the various choices and left samples giving me as much time as I needed to make the choice. The contract regarding the expectations is very specific and leaves no room for guesswork or miscommunications. They worked with my insurance company to cover some extra gutter services allowing me to make sure my gutter gaurd warranty remained valid. The work was performed on time and looks great and have had no problems. They also did some interior repairs/ painting related to the storm damage and appropriately waited several weeks to be sure the source of the original problems had been corrected. Best customer service experience I've had in years.

We bought a house for investment. There was roof damage and needed to be replaced. The seller (lived in another city) agreed to claim to their insurance company. We asked Mr. Scott Bullard from Authentic Restoration LLC, who repaired roof of our primary rsidence before to help. He very quickly contacted sellers and their insurance company and got the claim approved. We had concern about all the processing procedures and hoped them being done before closing (only 20 days before closing). Mr. Bullard promised everything would be taken care of before closing. Five days before closing, we saw a new roof being installed. That is our second experience with Authentic Restoration company and Mr. Bullard. Thanks him for his hard and excellent work

We called several roofers that had received high ratings on Angie's List. Scott Bullard from Authenic Restoration was the one who was the most helpful. He was very knowledgeable about his business and was able to answer all our questions. He assured us that he would work with our insurance company and we would have to do almost nothing. He and his company would take care of everything. He was right. He met with our insurance claim agent at our house and together they worked everything out. We had a $250 deductible and the insurance company paid for the replacement of our roof. The only insurance cost to us was the deductible but since we contacted Authenic Restoration through Angie's List, they rewarded us with $250. Therefore, we paid absolutely nothing for our new roof! The workers arrived early Friday morning and were finished by the end of the day, with the exception of the the installation of the new gutters. That work was begun and finished a few days later on one afternoon. This review was written a little over 3 months since the work was completed and we have not had any problems whatsoever. In fact, we were told to expect some loose roofing nails to have blown off the roof during some windy or stormy days but we have only found maybe 10 or less. I believe we only found 2 or 3 in the yard right after they left, which is awesome.

I can not say enough great things about this company and their product. They use a product that is far superior to regular roofing felt and the price is the same. Chris Baldus, the General Manager, is a great representative for this company. He is very knowledgeable about their products, he always returned my calls, the job was completed exactly as he said it would be and he followed up to make sure we were happy with our new roof. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs roofing work.

Chris and Scott with Authentic Restoration did a great job with my roof replacement. They came out and did the inspection gave an estimate and generated a report for the insurance company, they were also there when the adjuster came out to inspect the roof. The install went as planned, they did a very good job, cleaned up everything and were done when they said they would be. I could not have asked for an easier job, all I had to do was call the insurance company and they did the rest.

Discovered I had woodrot around the large windows outside my sunroom. Because the windows are VERY large and old , I did not want to trust the job to someone I did not know. I called Donna at Authentic Restorations. She had CHRIS call me back and set up a time for someone to come out and evaluate the job. Within a few days I had a quote and the job was done. Chris and his crew are everything you could ever want for home repair and roofing. Authentic put on my roof and repaired rotted wood a few months ago. I listened to them then about what needed to be done and they were so right. 100% happy with all that they have done. Good people,good prices and good work. I just wish they did more because I have a very old house. Thanks guys for everything

I had initially come across Authentic Restoration at the Birmingham Home and Garden show in April. They were very friendly and offered a free roof inspection. I told them that I thought our home still had the original roof on it, after 15 years, and that I had noticed that after all the storms and tornado's we had had back in the spring of 2011, some of my shingles were torn or buckled. I scheduled an inspection, and a few weeks later, Ms. Mary Nell Thornton came out to my house. She was very friendly and attentive to my questions and told me what they do, and gave me some references. That next week, Mary and her inspector came back out. The inspector got up on the roof and took quite a few photos of the roof and damaged areas. When he was done, he sat down and told me that based on what he had observed, he believed that we did have storm and hail damage, and that it should be covered by insurance. He took down my insurance information, and told me how they use the same inspection report software that the actual insurance adjusters use, so it helps the insurance companies breeze through their inspection when they come out. A week or so later, Mary and the inspector came back out and met me again, as we waited for the insurance company adjuster to arrive. When he did, the inspector and the insurance adjuster went up on the roof and discussed the damage they observed. When they were done, the insurance adjuster wrote up his report, and said that we did indeed have damage, and that it would be covered by insurance. Authentic Restoration's inspector and Ms. Thornton sat down with me and we scheduled the roof replacement date. They called to confirm it a few days before they were to come out. On that day, their crew arrived when they said they would, and they got right to work tearing off the existing roof. They were very quick and efficient, and took care not to damage my landscaping all around my house, as they dropped the shingles off my roof. They started in the morning, and my the end of the day, they were completely finished with the new roof! I was amazed at how quickly they were able to get it done. The roof looks great! All the lines are straight, the flashing is secure around the corners and fireplace and I don't notice any bumps or buckled shingles. All in all, I am very satisfied with the new roof that Authentic Restoration put on my home. I would definitely recommend them for your roofing and home improvement needs.
