Authentic Restoration

My home was in dire need of some roof repair. I contacted Authentic Restoration to come and give me a quote, not only were they the only roof company to call me back, they returned my call within two hours! A very nice name named Scott came out and gave me an estimate for repair, and told me how they would be repairing my roof (replacing shingles and adding flashing to stop the leaks). He also said they would repair some nails that had pushed up threw some other shingles. He had a contract sent that next morning, he informed me that due to the rain, it might be next week before they could get to me. I understood that, because you can't do roof work when it's pouring down rain. It got to be Thursday (and it had rained all week) so I figured it would be another week till I got my repair. Not even close. Chris Baldus called to tell me the repair crew would be over today if that was acceptable. You bet it was! It was about 5:15 when they showed up and they got right to work. By 7:00 they were done. The repair went great and I couldn't have found a better company (and believe me I tried) From their promptness returning my calls to the estimate, to the actual completion of the job, Authentic Restoration is the type of company that respected me and my home, not to mention my wallet. Thank you Authentic Restoration, and thank you Angie's List for helping me find them!

Very nice but the issue turned out not to be a roof issue.

I am so thoroughly impressed by the level of professionalism shown by both the management team as well as by the men who performed the actual work repairing the leak in my roof. I own a fairly expensive house and was concerned about the potential for error in matching the existing shingles which are about 8 years old. Not only did they correctly match the shingles, but half-way through the installation a thunderstorm rolled through just North of my location. To my surprise, instead of leaving in the middle of the job, they put it in high gear and completed the work as lightning struck 3 times nearby -- that's dedication! I am completely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend these guys.

It went smoothly. Completed in one day. great job.

Scott came to the house and looked at where the water was coming into the house. He stated that he thought the previous "fixes" were made to the wrong area. He asked to get in the attic. He texted me some pictures of area that was causing the problem. There was no doubt he had the right area. The leak was caused by three holes left by a toe board. The decking was rotted around the leak, so they had to replace a section of decking and surrounding shingles.

Overall I was satisfied with the work performed by Authentic Restoration at my house. Scott from Authentic Restoration was very responsive and open to working around my schedule. The work was completed in less than four hours one day in-between the rain. The only thing that did not get addressed and it was as much my fault as theirs is I had asked them to check the chimney cap and repair it if needed. They forgot to do it, and I forgot to remind them. Like I said, I had asked, but when they were there I forgot to remind them. Since I asked for them to look at it after the initial quote was released, I don't think it was ever documented on the work order.

My wife and i own a rental house close to where we live and it suffered storm damage to the roof a couple montha ago. Chris and Scott worked diligently with a very unresponsive insurance company, and got the estimate approved after much difficulty (Insurance company). They got the work done quickly and did a fantastic job. They also worked very carefully and kindly around the people that rent the home from us. These guys are a dream to work with, and handled every little thing for us. Our insurance company was a nightmare to work with, and i could not have got all the paperwork handled without Chris and Scott. Everything with these guys was textbook....Responsiveness, Communication, expectations, finished work, price and timeframe.My wife and i basically were able to get on with our lives while they handled everything for us. We had severe storm damage at our own residence at the same time, and they handled both jobs for us with the same expertise. They had to work with two different and very unresponsive insurance companies, and got it all done. I could not reccommend this company and these guys any more highly. I asked Chris what other work Authentic Restoration can do, and he tells me they also handle window replacement, Gutters and flooring (And more).My wife and i fully intend to use these guys in the future for any and all work we need done that they can provide service for....... Wow, These guys are THE best!!! We had storm damage after some straight line winds back in May. We had a lot of shingle damage and the chimney on our roof was blown completely off. I called 20 minutes after the storm had passed, and Chris called me back within 30 minutes. He had guys out there within hours to tarp the roof, and assess the damage. Our insurance company turned out to be a nightmare to work with, and Chris and Scott patiently worked with them, made sure we got the reapir work approved that we needed, and basically handled everything for us from start to finish. We were so impressed by their customer service, and attention to detail. They patiently worked their way through our very difficult insurance company, got the roof replaced, rebuilt and repainted the chimney, and got every sngle detail handled.They handled not only the roof replacement, but also paint, carpentry, and even sheet metal work to get everything looking like new again. They are a joy to work with, and i cannot say enough about the service, attention to detail and the finished work. These guys also do many other services, such as windows, gutters and more (I asked them what else they did!!) and we fully intend to use these guys for any other kind of work that may come up at our house in the future. Companies and people like this (Chris and Scott) will restore (Pun intended) your faith in contractors and people in general. Thank you again Chris and Scott!!! Looked at it from inside and roof. Scott couldn't see any structural deficiencies so he suggested the interior moisture could be condensation. It took him some effort but he recommended that we didn't need roof repair or a new skylight and there was no charge for his efforts. This kind of non-project confirms that they are honest and reliable.

Chris is terrific with communications. He arranged to meet with the insurance agent so we didn't have to haggle with them. Work was super fast--entire shingle roof for 2000sf home done in less than 2 days. Great clean up.I highly recommend Authentic Restoration. A++

I chose this company due to the positive reviews on Angie's List. I must say I completely agree with all the A+ grades Chris and his company have received. From start to finish he was professional, honest, punctual, communicative and hardworking. I could not ask for a better general contractor. I can guarantee that if I have any other projects in the future he will be the first I call.

These people couldn't be nicer and more professional. I am fairly picky about the house but I can tell you the roofing job they did was superior to the original roof on the house. The materials they used were top notch. The coverings they put down over the landscaping prevented any damage whatsoever. And they cleaned up to the point you could never tell a major construction project had just been done. And not a single nail in one tire! They came back several times with the magnet to make sure they had gotten all the nails. It couldn't have been done any better. At the front end of the project they worked with our insurance company to file the claims and handle all of the paperwork to do so(coming back several times for inspections). They were always there. They always did what they said they would do. They even re-routed some wires to a satellite dish that had been installed incorrectly, and installed new ventilation fans even though that wasn't technically in their responsibility. They even came back weeks later to unclog a downspout that had gotten clogged at no charge. We couldn't be happier. We would HIGHLY recommend them should you have any roofing needs.

The job estimate was competitive. The interface with our insurance company was smooth. The work was performed quickly and expertly with appropriate warranty. The new roof looks fabulous. Cleanup was thorough.

This company is exceptionally well run and they produce high quality and timely work. Every step of this job was outlined, detailed in cost and time of completion. Communication was easy via email and cell throughout the process. Their advice was open and honest and they followed through with every task outlined in the job plan. They assisted me in working w the adjuster and insurance company. I would highly recommend this group for a new roof. I especially want to thank Chris and Scott for their management of this job. Their level of service and integrity was exemplary.

Scott and their team were very knowledgeable about the problem and always on time to check on the issue. They back up their promise and visit several time to make sure the problem is fixed. Excellent customer service, highly recommend to anyone.

From start to finish we could not have been more pleased. I was referred to Authentic by a friend who had recently used Authentic and had found Authentic on Angie's list. They arrived at the time specified and worked from 6:30 AM to 7 PM the first day and from 6:30 AM to 11 AM the second day. Cleaned up and left no mess when they left. The workers were very nice, were not loud and were not messy. Scott was on the roof checking things out during the course of the repairs and came back the next day to make a few minor corrections. I could not have been more pleased

The biggest thing about Authentic Restoration was communication, if anything came up, they would call me right away and if I gave them the go ahead, they would get on it right away but they did a great job, they had it done quick and it wasn't much more than they said it would be. They did find a few things which I knew they would.

There were a couple of minor issues with the installation but those were corrected immediately. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and addressed all of my concerns. This is how you run a successful business. I'm so glad I signed up for Angie's List and found them.

Chris came to the home to go over what needed to be completed and to give an estimate of the cost. The following week the wood was placed, painted and allowed to dry of ourse we were shown a variety o f colors to chose but stuck with white. Once the paint had dried the gutters were placed. We were extremely satisfied with the work provided.

Their workers are very quick and they do their best they could for the job. In other words they are efficient. They did a good job.

Overall, the examination of our roof went fairly well. Most of the current issues were addressed.

I had several interior leaks stemming from unknown locations on my roof. After inspecting the roof, interior, and attic, Chris & his team were forthcoming about the fact since it wasn't raining, that they didn't know for sure where the leaks were coming from, but found several likely suspects, including one area on the roof that was not to code. He explained in detail how each of these areas could be contributing to the interior problems in the various locations. He said that my roof did not appear to need to be replacement, and thought it was relatively new. He proposed a plan that addressed all of the areas, which I accepted. Within a short time, the repairs were done, and I paid him the full amount. When it next rained, all but one leak was resolved. They came back out promptly and cheerfully and found a single nail hole based on some investigative work my husband did while it was actually raining. Next rain (a flood) - no leaks. I'm delighted the roof is finally fixed, after several other companies making repair attempts, claiming hail damage, saying I needed a new roof, etc. I think I found an honest, competent roofer. I am also a stickler for punctuality and professionalism, which was a bonus on top of finally getting the roof fixed.
