Authentic Restoration

Everything seems good. It has rained a few times since the repairs, and there is no sign of leakage at all. Their price was comparable to the other estimates I got, and the work was done in one day while I was at work. Their final bill was exactly what their estimate said it would be. Chris and Scott are very easygoing and good to work with. The scheduling of the repair was complicated by both of Birmingham's 2014 snow-cancelling-everything events, but everything was done and I am happy with the work. I would recommend Authentic Restoration to a friend if I were to be asked.

Very professional sales person. This was a rental property and they worked with the renter to schedule and their clean up was immaculate. They took extra steps to make sure nothing of the renter or their neighbors was harmed during the roof removal.

They were very friendly and punctual. They called to say if they were going to late.i Chris helped with the adjuster. Which was a big help to get them to pay. The adjuster wanted me to go to my old insurance.

I was extremely pleased with Authentic Restoration!! Scott called several times to schedule appointment, called the morning of the appointment and said was on way and was actually about 15 minutes early which I really appreciated!! He was very professional and thorough in his inspection and with his account of all inspected areas and recommendations. Only time and rain will tell if all went well, but I am assured that if there are any issues, he will return to continue his search for answers. I definitely will be calling him again for any roof issues as well as other services that he offers.

I believed that I had storm damage on my roof and contacted Authentic Restoration to provide an opinion, based off of their high ratings within Angie's List. Chris Baldus met me at my home and inspected the roof and said that I had about a 70-80% chance of getting insurance to cover, based on his experience, and explained their terms. Essentially, you sign a form that states that you are allowing Authentic Restoration to contact your insurance company to file a claim on your behalf and that if insurance covers, they will get the job. If insurance denies the claim, the entire form is voided and you are under no obligation to work with Authentic Restoration. Chris literally did all of the work, from making the phone call and talking the agent through the damage to meeting with the claims adjustor. Fortunately, our claim was covered and it was a no brainer to give Chris and Authentic Restoration the job. Chris was excellent with communication and kept me in the loop on shingle color selection, schedule, and the entire process. Due to the winter weather in February, my initial start date was delayed but Chris again showed excellent communication with notifying me as soon as he had updates. Once they were able to start and remove the existing roof, they discovered that the decking on my roof was not up to code, and immediately contacted my insurance company in order to have them cover decking replacement. Due to the delay in insurance giving this approval over the phone, this allowed weather to catch up to them, so they completely waterproofed my exposed roof with new waterproof sheeting and tarps before the rain came, at no expense to me. Once the weather cleared and insurance approved the decking replacement, the roof was done quickly, safely, and in the highest quality. Due to the decking replacement, my satellite dish had to be removed and the original anchor points were gone. Scott, another excellent employee of Authentic Restoration, spent at least 2.5 hours on a Friday evening at my house trying to re-mount and provide the best signal possible. Since they are not equipped with the same signal finder the DirecTV has, we ended up having to call DirecTV to come out and remount, but Authentic Restoration reimbursed us for that service call. All in all, working with Authentic Restoration was an excellent experience. Chris, Scott, and their entire crew were great to work with, communication was excellent, and the end result was a beautiful and quality new roof. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a roof replacement, particularly if you think you may have storm damage.

Scott Bullard is their field operations manager, he promptly called me to schedule a visit was the person who performed the work. I was VERY impressed with his professionalism and just all around a great guy to work with. He brought new shingles to replace those that had blown off, inspected the entire roof and addressed all of my concerns. All this with no hidden charges. I now have a roofer to call for any future problems.

I've had a leak and I've had 2 other estimates and they told me I really needed a new roof. When Authentic Restoration came out, he told me it would be fine for a another 3-4 years. He was so honest and told me come look at it every 6 months or if I see something that doesn't look right to call him free of charge. He is just a really great guy! I even told him I needed a new roof and he didn't try to sell me or just take my money when I thought I needed one. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely use him in the future!

I was very pleased with the work performed. They arrived promptly at the time agreed to review the work, answer my questions and prepare the quote. Authentic Restoration acted as the contractor and subcontracted the work. I had a hard deadline of when the work had to be completed due to the expected arrival of out of town company. Chris with Authentic Restoration assured me they would complete the work by the dead line. The process as outlined was that the sub performing the soffit and fascia repairs would arrive on day one and complete the work, including painting the repairs to match. The gutters, downspouts and leaf guards would be installed on the day following the repairs. Chris contacted me that they were ready to begin the soffit and fascia repairs and the subcontractors arrived on time and prepared to work. They were very professional and quickly finished the repairs in the locations that had been discussed and then verified another spot was sound and did not need repair. Chris contacted me later in the day to advise the gutter subcontractor would be arriving one day later. When they had not arrived by mid-morning I contacted Chris who checked and advised they were coming but were running a little behind. The job in the morning ran a little long due to the weather but they would arrive and complete the work. The sub arrived early afternoon and quickly set about the gutter installation and completed everything before they left that evening. There was only one stumble along the way. When the gutters were installed, they caused the fascia to be pulled back creating a gap between it and the soffit. I contacted Chris and he came by the same day to look at the situation and committed it would be fixed. The subcontractor was back the following day and they resolved the issue. The cost for the gutters was comparable to the other quotes I obtained. The cost for the leaf guards was higher but they came with a lifetime warranty and in my mind were a much better solution than the surface tension type guards. I paid a little more for the job but the experience was nothing but positive. Overall, this was a professionally managed, high quality and relatively painless process.

It went really well. I was really impressed with the salesmen, all the way to the workers. Chris took care of the claim, and without him I don't think that it would have been sucessful. He really helped us out. We received very good service.

We had a bad roof leak and called Scott to see if he could repair it as soon as possible, Scott was fantastic and immediately addressed the roof leak and checked the rest of the roof surface for popped nails. After Scott performed the work, he called after the next rain to check in and see if all was well. He is very professional and we would definitely use their services in the future!

We needed to replace the roof on our house and after checking Angie's List we called three roofing contractors for estimates. Chris, with Authentic Restoration, was the only contractor that noted that we had some hail damage during his "roof walk" and suggested that we may want to pursue the issue with our homeowner's insurer. Since all of the quotes for roof replacement were about the same, we decided to go with Chris and Authentic Restoration. Primarily, we really liked the roofing product that they used as well as their thorough installation process. We even ended up using the color that Chris originally suggested for us. On the insurance front, Chris walked us through the claims process with our insurer (he actually came over to our house and we jointly called in the claim), met with the insurance adjuster when he came out and just really provided good guidance throughout the whole process. Chris also kept us fully informed all along the way. The insurance company agreed with Chris on the hail damage and we immediately scheduled Authentic Restoration to do the job. The crew showed up early on the scheduled day and were actually able to complete the entire job within one day. The crew did a great job of cleaning up around the house and garage (which included a couple of passes picking up nails with the magnet). The new roof looks great! Chris was really good to work with; easy to contact, was always prompt with our several meetings, courteous and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend or to use Authentic Restoration again. Chris was the best!

Chris and Scott were the best to work with. Any calls we made to them were returned promptly. One or both of them were at the house every day to make sure the jobs that were to be done that day were completed to their standards. They answered any questions in detail and took pictures of the roof before and after work was completed. We received a detailed scope of work document and project review list. Chris met with us at the distributors to pick out shingles and we were always consulted before any changes to the initial scope of work was done. Chris worked with our insurance company due to hail and wind damage on the existing roof and met with the adjuster when he came out to view the damage. I know that we can call them at any time if we have a question. They made sure that the area around our house was cleaned up and as many nails as possible were picked up. After it rains, we sometimes find more but Chris comes by regularly with his magnet rake to look for more. We have had numerous companies who've done work on our house in the 10 years we've lived here and Authentic Restoration was by the far the best company we've worked with. It would be so nice if everyone was this easy to work with.

had a tree fall on my house on august of 2013. knocked a hole in my roof and a bedroom ceiling. Authentic Restoration repaired all the damage to my house in and out. they did a great job, very professional and courteous would highly recommend this company for all your repair and remodeling.

I contacted Chris to come out and give us an estimate for a leak that was resulting in water dripping into our bathroom. They came out right away, determined issues that were causing the leak, and gave us a good price to fix. They let us know our roof was not in perfect shape, but really didn't need to be fully replaced. I followed up a little later ready to have the leak repaired, and they were able to come out within two days. They provided great service, very professional, and very punctual. Chris followed up and answered my questions and thanked me for my business. I will definitely go to Authentic Restoration for any future roofing needs. Great company!

After getting three estimates Authentic Restoration came in as our lowest estimate. They showed up on time, were very professional, and were conscientious. They started at 7 a.m. and had completed the work by 4:30 p.m. including complete clean up. They protected our boxwoods and azaleas with tarps that also collected all trash and nails and at the end of the day rolled magnets all over the driveway and around the house. Chris, the representative from Authentic Restoration is very professional and came back the next day to be sure all was well and we were happy with their work. We would definitely use them again. They also will be doing the interior sheet rock and ceiling repair. We would absolutely rate them A plus!!

Most of details above. They also re-chalked my roof window and gave me credit for things that were not needed. All were congenial and always prompt. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent experience. My wife and I needed help preparing and painting a covered porch that ran the length of the house we are preparing to sell. The work also included painting an extension and staircase. Chris was as always, a wealth of help getting me a quote, and then organizing and scheduling the work. His painting crew was on time, did a fantastic job, and were a joy to work with. The finished job was wonderful, he got me a great price, and when they left the place was clean as a whistle.

Mr. Scott Bullard came to my house to give me an estimate. We had an appointment at 9 am. At about 5 minutes to 9 he called to say he was running late but he was heading my way. He arrived before 9:15 a.m. AND he apologized for being late. I really appreciated that he was thoughtful of my time. He checked the roof and came inside to see the drywall stains/damage. He answered all my questions about the roof and the company's insurance certificates. He left the estimate with me so I could review it with my husband prior to making a commitment. There was no hard sales pitched. Once I signed the estimate and sent it to them they got my job scheduled right away and someone in the office emailed me the insurance certificates since I wanted to see them before my job was started. A different man came to do the job but that's what I was told would happen. I didn't get his name but he was very nice and took care of business. I will definitely use this company again if I have a need.

Scott and his crew did a very good job in regards to identifying and fixing a roofing need that we had around our chimney. Scott was also kind enough to come back out to the house to address a minor issue regarding a patch of shingles not related to our initial need. We would definitely recommend Scott and his team at Authentic Restoration for any future roofing needs that anyone may have.

The roofers worked constantly all day and finished the job. They did a good job of cleaning the debris. I found only one dropped nail that had wedged between deck boards! The carpenter and drywall persons were so quiet it was almost like they weren't in the house. The drywall ceiling repair blends in beautifully with the existing ceiling. The carpenter did a meticulous repair of the water damaged areas and the replaced soffit fits beautifully. It looks brand new. I am so pleased. I have everything nicely fixed and FINALLY the rainwater drains properly from the roof into the gutters.

Quoting and pre-work process were very professional and detailed. Quote was not the lowest, but Authentic worked with me on price, in order to get the work. The quote was the most detailed I got. It helped alleviate any surprises that can come when doing roof work. So, they instilled a real confidence in the work to be performed. The roofing work began 2 weeks after signing--in order to get materials in, and workmen scheduled. They were done in a day and a half--a neat, prfessional job. Even stray nails from the yard were picked up, and that with tearing off 2 old roofs. A little piece-in decking was needed. All taken care of nice and neat. Another two and a half weeks passed before the carpenters could come out and do the soffet and facia part of the work. They were there and gone in less than a day--even having to do more work than anticipated. Another week and a half later the chimney cap and gutter men came out. They did a nice job on things, and were done in a long day, but left a mess (old shingles and alot of nails) in the yard/deck/driveway. They did a nice job, but were messy. Chris (the project leader) was very apologetic about it. In all, it was a very good outcome. It took a little longer than expected, and there was some mess at the end, but I would definitely recommend them for future work.

Chris made an appointment to discuss my roof replacement and arrived on time. He was patient and thorough in explaining all that was involved. We discussed pricing and he double-checked the evaluation and pricing done by my insurance adjuster. Chris explained how his crew would operate and addressed our concerns for covering the swimming pool, shrubbery, etc. I talked with two other roofing companies and decided to use Authentic Restoration due to Chris and his genuinely seeming to want my business. We scheduled an appointment and his crew arrived on time. The crew removed the old shingles, a damaged gutter and an old satellite dish I no longer use. The work was completed in one day and the cleanup was excellent. Chris inspected the job before the crew was dismissed for the day. I'm very satisfied with Chris and his company.
