APS Professional Window Cleaning

I contracted with APS Prefessional Window Cleaning to clean my windows as part of Angie?s Big Deal. They were accommodating about scheduling and worked with me to pick a date that worked for me. I first became concerned when we began to try to work through the specifics of the job on the phone. First, although the job was for 35 windows, what they actually meant was 35 panes. So what most would consider a single window would actually count as two. No matter, we pressed forward and tried to work through the second complication: I have storm windows. They wanted to charge $8 per pane for storm windows, or $16 dollars per window. Adding this up for my entire house and including the extra panes due to how they count windows, the entire cost would be over $800.00. I?ve previously had the entire house done for just of $400.00, so this seemed excessive. My previous experience was a total job quote so I didn?t get into the question of what counted as a pane and what counted as a window. Undeterred, we decided to go with the original Angie?s list quote and they said they would provide a quote for any remainder once they were onsite. All of this discussion took place over 4 or 5 phone calls to them where I frequently left my contact information. On at least two occasions I left my address ? when I first called to schedule the appointment and when we finally settled on a date and the scope of the work. I will also say that they went through a period in late April and May 2012 where I could not leave a message. Their mailbox was always full and they took a long time ? one to two weeks on occasion, to return phone calls. I should have taken this as a sign but since I already paid for the Angie?s List big deal and they were accommodating about scheduling I continued trying to work with them. I went back and reread some of the more recent Angie?s List posts and saw they had fallen from an A to a B due to recent low grades. The day of the appointment came and they did not show up at 8:00 as planned and I also did not receive a phone call from them. At 8:30 I finally called them, expecting them to be stuck in traffic. Heather explained that they had misplaced my phone number and also could not make out their writing of my address so they could not find it, therefore they had rescheduled their crews for the day. She tried to work with someone to try to get them back over to my house since I had taken off work for the day, but to no avail. She finally called back and said they would have to reschedule for the following week. This is completely unacceptable and I find it hard to believe they could be so disorganized. I?d like my money back and would like to warn others about this company.

I had to move several things away from windows to prepare for the cleaning, take the blinds off, and all other valuables away from the windows. Very frustrating because we waited so long for this to happen, and then they didn't call on the 28th to say that they wouldn't show up. Totally disgusted from the get-go.

I had the expiration date of the coupon extended because of scheduling issues. I scheduled a time for them to come out and perform the window cleaning service and they never showed up even though they mentioned they were late and on their way. The lady on the phone when I called to see where they were at was very rude and condescending while treating the situation like there was never an appointment to begin with.

Never received a call-back or email response. Evidently they are out of business as indicated above.

We purchased the Big Deal, set up a time with them, and got our windows cleaned. They did good work.

I received the service through a special offer between Angie's list and APS Professional Window Cleaners. The price was unbeatable. My overall experience was excellent from making the appointment until the service was performed. I only can recommend this company at a 100% and I certainly will hire them again next year. I have telephoned and e-mailed the provided contact information on a regular basis starting in May 2012.Not a single call has been returned.I did get a reply to one of my e-mails - I was told that I must call for an appointment!Of course, the calls are not returned!My coupon expires Monday, July 9 2012 and I would like a refund!

They were wonderful. I got more than my money's worth and I had very high windows. They cleaned those beautifully.

Had purchased a "big deal" coupon as we're getting older and I didn't want to get up on ladders anymore to wash windows. The back of our house is about three stories high - and the window washers came and washed the windows quickly, easily, and beautifully and also did the skylights and a garden window that I couldn't reach. They were prompt, personable, and efficient.

I ordered a window washing special in January 2012 thinking it would be great cost savings for spring. We moved into a new home in the fall of 2011. I know spring is a busy season, but I called the vendor to schedule the cleaning and they never returned my calls. I have given up. I'd like to get a refund and just schedule another reliable service.

I purchased a voucher from Anglie's List in January 2012 with a July expiration date. When I tried to schedule the work in May, I was unable to reach APS Professional Window Cleaning. First, I telephoned the number provided. The phone was not answered, but a voice mail greeting told me how they were extremely busy, leave my name and phone number and if I didn't hear from them in 24 hours I should call back. Why should I have to do that? They were telling me that they don't pay much attention to their voice mail, I suppose, and the following events seem to bear that out. They did not return my call. Several days later I sent email, asking them to schedule the work for the next available morning. They did not respond. Then I telephoned again, and this time instead of a voice mail greeting the voice mail box was " full and cannot accept new messages at this time." I have requested a refund from Angie's List, and one other bad experience with a voucher tells me the refund won't be a problem.

They were very punctual and professional, but did not feel the job was done quite as well as other companies we have had in the past.

I was very impressed. Instead of using hoses they hand-cleaned every window inside and out. They were very thorough in their work and even did each individual window pane in my french doors. My windows are beautifully clear!

It took several times before they were finnaly able to start the job. They were 2 hrs or so later than they said they would be here. I had trouble understanding the workers. They didn't speak very good english. The owner of the business seemed courteous and friendly.

I would use them again. They provided good service.

I think I got a special deal for this service. They did a great job. They were early, which was fine. They were very professional. They were finished in about a little more than an hour. I never had to have them come back for anything. There was one top window that they didn’t do. I questioned them because I saw that they hadn’t taken the blinds down. I guess if I hadn’t called them out, they would have left not doing that one little window. Their price was excellent. It was good. I will use them again in the future.

I purchased the Big Deal in early January, intending to use it later in the spring. When I was ready to schedule, I emailed the company and realized several weeks later that I'd received no reply. Then I called them and Heather was very pleasant to deal with. However, their truck had a "tire issue" on the date of our appointment, 4/24. It was rescheduled for 4/28. On the 28th, the crew did not show up, and when I called the office, a male told me that we were not on the schedule, and rescheduled now for 5/5. A little later in the day, Heather called and profusely apologized for the mixup; she didn't know why we were not on the schedule for 4/28. She also said that she knew I'd been waiting and made an appointment for 5/1, so I wouldn't have to wait until the 5th. On 5/1 the crew arrived an hour earlier than they expected, and did an excellent job. We have two small apartments upstairs and it was not optimal that they had to leave their screens unlocked for the 8 days we waited for the crew. However, the job that was done was good, no complaints on that, and I do think that the scheduling mixups occurred because one of the staff was out for the week, so probably is an unusual occurrence.

Excellent. They quoted us $189 over the phone and kept that quote...and we have MANY windows.

I liked everything. They were on time, polite, and made sure to clean up after themselves. They did a nice job with the window washing. I didn't have any complaints about them. They did just as promised. I thought that they had a good price. I was perfectly happy with them.

I was very pleased with them. I bought one of the Angie's List deals. When they got here, they tried to charge me more money. I told them that I had already paid for it and that I had bought a certain amount. They were still confused. There was phone calling back and forth. It wasn't very happy. Then, they left spots on my carpet where the dirty water fell. I wasn't happy with them. I won't use them again. I got a deal that I was happy with. It was just a bit of a hassle to get them to understand. They were confused about what I paid for, and they didn't seem very professional.

Quality of work and cleanup was very good. The only issue I had is that they didn't lock the screens down and now many of them are falling out because of this.

They did the job real quick. They were in and out that were nice. It did not take them a long time. They did a good job. They showed up on time.

I had no problems with them. They came in, did the work, left no mess behind, and left. I was happy with their service.

Two cleaners, appeared on ime in fact a bit early. Went to work immediately. Windows looked great.
