Sam came to the house on a Saturday, which I appreciated. However, he was there only 15 minutes, diagnosed the problem as a bad control board, and said he would have to order one. It came that following Tuesday, and he came to install the board. Right up until then, everything was fine. I confirmed it would be 24 hours or so before the fridge was back to correct temperatures. It's supposed to be 37 in the fridge and 0 in the freezer. At its highest, it was around 52 in the fridge and in the teens in the freezer. After 24 hours, the temperatures had not changed. I contacted Sam who said he would call me back. He did, and said that he was mistaken, that it would be 24-48 hours for a fridge to cool down. That didn't sound right to me at all, but I took his word for it. This is also when he mentioned (not for the first time) that he was scheduled to go on vacation that Thursday. Well Thursday came and the temperature in the fridge had still not changed, it was hovering in the upper 40s in the fridge and in the teens in the freezer, still unusable. Knowing I couldn't contact Sam (and realizing I probably shouldn't anyway), I was fortunate enough to get a GE repair appointment. The very nice and knowledgeable GE repairman (named Eddie) came and diagnosed quickly that the fan in the freezer had broken due to the control board being installed incorrectly. He also noted that Sam had not connected the control board completely in the back. After working on it for about an hour, he replaced the fan, fan motor and fixed Sam's installation mistakes. Within hours, the fridge was back down under 40 degrees and by the morning, it was making ice and staying consistently at the correct temperatures. My main complaint to Sam is that he did not thoroughly examine the fridge either time he worked on it. If the fan was working on Saturday, it surely wasn't working after he installed the control board and after hearing from me that it wasn't cooling the way it should be, he should've checked other things in the fridge to make sure it was working. I'm sure he was just in a hurry to get on vacation though which is why he had such lackluster work. He offered to reinstall the bad control board and refund my money, which is both unprofessional and extremely rude. I would NOT recommend this repair person to anyone ever again.

Samuel Eiland explained over the phone how I might fix the problem without having to pay for a visit. His suggestion improved the performance, but still required a visit for optimal results. He did not have the supply he needed on his truck, so did not charge me for the time it took to obtain the supply. Very pleasant and professional.

Called today for repair on my dryer that went out over the weekend. Received a call from the repairman (Darren) about 15-30 minutes later to provide a 2 hour window of when to expect him. Darren then arrived when he said he would and took apart the dryer and showed me that the heating element was out and how he came to that conclusion. He also had the part already in his truck and the dryer was fixed within 30 min of his arrival. Highly recommend.

The parts came in quickly and the work was completed the next day. I am very happy with the work that was performed.

Appliance Service LLC fixed a broken drain pump on our washing machine. It is now working fine but makes a noise I'm not sure about, but it seems to be running OK. I was chagrined that he would not accept my printed Angie's List coupon as we are gold level members. He said that he gives everyone the same discount. Also, the phone number that is listed on Angie's List was incorrect. The correct number is 205-743-8493. I appreciated his assessment of the current condition of appliances on the market.

He did everything possible to fix the problem and found out what it was and it was not the dryer

My side by side refridgerator was no longer defrosting itself on the freezer side, which caused both the freezer and fridge sides to heat up. Sam was friendly and nice enough to take the time to explain and show me how the freezer not defrosting itself was the cause of everything. I also appreciated Sam being patient and nice enough to wait while I cleaned behind the frudge before he pushed it back in place. His service call fee was already about $25 cheaper than any competitors (also applied that towards the repair). He then gave me a discount on the total bill for being a member of Angie's List. The reason for the $288 total bill was the main control board for the fridge had to be replaced. Sam explained that a couple much cheaper components are typically to blame for defrosting failures. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a fridge repair.

The repair was completed in less than 20 minutes, or so. Samuel was very nice and I felt comfortable with him in my home. I will definitely use him again.

I was very happy with the service. Samuel was really nice and helped to even give advise on other small projects that I have around the house. I would recommend help to anyone that needs repairs done. I have actually got him coming back next week to help with my a/c units.
