My experience with Re-Bath was very positive, and feel I can strongly recommend them to others. All the people that I spoke with and worked with were very polite and they did everything that they said they were going to. Overall had a great experience and am very pleased with all of the work that they did for me.

The salesman promised a 6-8 week lead time, with status updates along the way. At week 10 I called, was asked to leave a message and production would call me back. No call back. I called office two days later, as well as the salesman. Left messages again. I did get a call back and was told that they would try to schedule the install in two to three weeks. No installation yet. If you want your remodel in a timely manner - do not use Rebath.

I'm sorry but this is Alabama ReBath, we didn't perform your installation. However we did discuss this matter with the Nashville office (Tennessee ReBath) and they had apologized for the timeframe was a bit longer than usual due to substantial increase in sales in July and August. However, they said that they had you installed within a day or two right before Thanksgiving. We deeply apologize for any scheduling delays but we do hope that your installation experience had exceeded your expectations. If it wasn't please feel free to reach out to them at their office and i'm sure they will find a way to ensure you're happy.

What should have been a 2 week project became 6 weeks. Scheduling and personnel problems were evident. Days would go by without any work being done. Tile was done incorrectly, so was removed and redone at Re-Bath's manager's direction. Construction dust was supposed to be contained. At this writing (4-12-15), we are still cleaning up construction dust and debris. Shower glass walls and door were slow to be shipped and installed. One piece of glass was cut or ordered incorrectly, resulting in another weeks delay.

Installers were very nice and did an good job with materials provided. Salesman measured shower door which turned out too wide. To complete the install they turned my toilet to a crooked position so door would open. When I notified Re-Bath they want me to pay additional money to correct their mistake. Presently I have contacted Home Depot who I originally called for this service. Home Depot has been very nice and helpful to this point. I have not heard from Re-Bath on whether they are going to correct it or not. If they do the right thing I will give another more positive review. To this point Re-Bath has not been a pleasant experience to deal with after the install and payment was made in full. Finally someone at Re-bath came and saw the problem and immediately work with me for a solution. They corrected their mistake and now my shower is both functional and beautiful.
Description of Work: Resurfaced tub did surround and new fixtures in one bath. Replaced shower complete in other bath.
First of all they came when they said they would each day and was on time. Bath and vanity area had not been changed since the house was purchased in 1975. They took out the bathtub replaced it with a shower 3 side wall and ceiling with bench seat, grab bar and wand replace all plumbing fixtures and glass shower doors. Laid ceramic tile in bathroom and vanity area. In vanity area installed new linen closet and vanity with marble top counter replace all the plumbing fixtures here as well. For both rooms installed new sub-floor prior to laying tile.

We did not make a second call to Alabama Re-Bath. After discussing this with my husband and my adult children, I decided that I would contact another company that would treat me as an adult capable of making a decision. Before my husband left on his next trip, he asked if I wanted him to write me a permission slip before I went shopping and laughed as he drove away. My adult daughter said that the company might want to reconsider their approach, this is 2013 and women have been making decisions for quite some time. I contacted another company that provided an estimate and is currently performing the remodel I described to the Re-Bath consultant.
Description of Work: My husband and I saw a Re-Bath display at Home Depot and checked their rating on Angie's List, assuming Alabama Re-Bath was the same company. I contacted the office on 4/2 to schedule a consultation. I spoke with a person (I think her name was Melanie, but I am not 100% sure of this). She asked if I was the homeowner and if there was a 2nd homeowner. I stated that my husband was the 2nd homeowner. I asked if I could schedule a consultation to obtain an estimate for converting a tub/shower combination, to a shower only. She said that no appointments were available that week but she could possibly schedule me for the following week. I said that would be great. Her next comment was that they/Re-Bath request that both of the homeowners be present for the 2hr presentation and to ask any questions they might have. I stated that my husband travels quite a bit and would not be available the following week, so I would be making the decision and that he has told me to get whatever I wanted. She wanted to know when my husband would be available and I told her that it wasn't necessary as he and I have already discussed the remodel. She then asked again if there was a time that would be convenient for my husband to attend the consultation. I explained to her that he really wouldn't want to sit thru a presentation on something that he has already told me to go ahead and take care of. I told her that I have purchased thousands of dollars of goods and services (carpeting, appliances, countertops, and vehicles)and not one company has insisted that my husband be present before providing an estimate. By this time, I am irritated with her insistence on my husband's presence, so I finally say that I will let him know of my conversation with her and if he wants me to call back and schedule a consultation, I will do so. We recently moved to Alabama from Indiana and I must say, the policy of requiring the husband to be available before providing an estimate was a bit of a letdown. Since moving here, I have purchased new carpet and countertops, spending almost $10,000, and neither of the companies that provided the estimates and ultimately performed the work, requested/insisted that my husband be present.

Thank you customer for your review. Can you give us a little more information as to why our price had warranted a 'B'? I would agree that our prices are not the cheapest, but we don't try to be. We are a company that focuses on providing the greatest value in your bathroom remodel. In other words, we offer products that we can offer lifetime warranties on. Products that don't mold, mildew, chip, crack, peel, easy to clean and the colors that do not fade. Products that you can't get off the shelf at Lowe's or Home Depot. Also, our installation is second to none, where our installers are trained and certified by us (ReBath) and we do not hire subcontractors. We are able to turn around the tub/shower area in as little as 1-2 days and a complete bathroom within 2-4 days. We do not go from one job to another in the middle of your job, rather we stay on your job until we finish. We also do not nickel and dime you with change orders when we run into problems. Not to mention, we are fully insured, licensed, have office staff and utility bills, which means we have a reputation to protect when some do not. These are some of the few items that is standard with us, that is not typical in the industry. With all this said, I hope you can understand why we are unable to compete on the same level with some competitors who offer off the shelf products with limited warranties and without a reputation to protect. We do want to earn your business and show you want we can do. If you have any suggestions, can you please email us at info@alabamarebath.com as any input can only help improve our quality of service to you and/or to those that we will serve in the future. Look forward to hearing from you!

We were not too happy with them. We signed the contract and then suddenly we didn't know who in the world was in charge. The beginning date kept shifting and changing. We never knew what was going on. The tile people were absolutely outstanding except for one thing. They put the shower in crooked so they had to go back and demolish that part and redo it. We never knew when they were coming and they kept changing the dates. We were stuck in the house and postponed things and then they would say they couldn't make it that day. We signed the contract on February 9 and they just now finished up. It was 4 months in progress. Half a house could be built in that amount of time. We found out that the price was way too high. There were a group of Mexicans that came in. They were on time and they worked like fools. They were really top notch. We have nothing but praise for the tile setters. The whole coordination was bad. The owner was supposed to be in charge of getting everything set up and it was just miserable. We never knew what was going to happen and what he was going to do. It was all very nebulous.

Thank you for reviewing us Member. However, I would strongly disagree with many of your statements. The agreement was signed on Feb. 9th and we did discuss starting within 4-6 weeks. At around the 6th week we were going to get started but you wanted to wait one more week. Due to our installation schedule, our next available time was starting on the 26th of March (8th week), which we agreed on and there was no statement that this was an issue. So we had scheduled March 26th to be the start date with a 5-6 day installation (being we were tiling 2 bathroom floors, a bathroom wall all the way around, cabinet installation and the shower stall tiling with one final day for the door installation that would happen after delivery of the door. So before we started the job, we did a pre-installation meetup on March 21st to ensure everyone was on the same page. We clarified any last minute changes and even helped make suggestions on different colors and how your tile walls (wainscot) was going to be built. You were seemed very appreciative that we helped you avoid some potential design issues that you had picked out. During this time, we had mentioned that the job would go through the weekend possibly finishing the bathroom by the next monday which you acknowledged you were okay with. Then we discussed that after the shower was built, it is at that time we could measure for the shower hinged-door being it was 2 full side walls of glass, by which the door would arrive a week and half later and we would come back up then to finish any last minute touches as well as install the door. We started the job on March 26th and finished the first phase ahead of schedule by 2 days on thursday March 29th. After this you were wanting the door to be installed immediately which I reminded you once again that it was not going to be delivered for another week and half after I ordered (which we ordered immediately after the tile was completed). During this time you seemed very upset that the door was not immediately ready - which I explained again that we could not order the door until after the shower stall was built due to unknown measurements (door measurements only having a 1/2" variance). Just because we finished the first phase of the shower early didn't mean that the door would come in earlier We still had to work within our installation schedule to install the door after the delivery (which was still on schedule). During this time, your shower was completely usable. After you were upset with the door, you mentioned other items to be completed which we made a list and stated that we would address them. We made it very clear that any items left to be completed would be completed the day we installed the door. We had no reason to believe that you would be upset with this as this is standard practice. You kept mentioning 'What if you don't come back? How can I be sure you are not going to quit?" which I continually assured that we simply never had or will ever quit in the middle of a job. We had done everything we said we were going to do and we just needed to wait on the door. Our goal for the first phase of the project was to complete the tile work which we did. Finish anything left over during the second/last phase (day of door install). Standard procedure is when installation is completed, the company and/or the customer would go through the job and write-up a punchlist. We did just that. It is standard procedure to accomplish the punch-list on the final day of the job. So on April 10th we had received the door (8 business days after last day of phase 1 of installation), and on April 12th, we had completed everything and you seemed very happy and satisfied. At the end we had a phone conversation and you said that you were probably just nervous about the job not completing and just didn't know what to do, "Remember we are old and sometimes we get really nervous". You mentioned that I could've been a little more clearer and maybe listened more which I stated I would keep in mind for our future jobs. Nothing was ever off schedule and we did everything we said we were going to do. To this day, I still don't understand why you were so upset during the period we were waiting on the door. Also, keep in mind, we changed out a grab bar free of charge just because you changed your mind on the color and also that we gave you about $600 worth of (2x) lavatory faucets that was not on our original agreement, which the sales rep also stated that although you both discussed wanting it, that in the end you settled on getting them yourself. It was never priced in but just to be nice we decided to give them to you. We appreciate you reviewing us, but we don't feel that your review of us is very fair as we did everything we said we were going to do and the finished product is excellent. I really don't know if there was a misunderstanding or a communication breakdown but the scheduling was discussed many times with no one objecting to it on the front-end.
