The technician arrived early and go right to work. My door was in bad shape. The motor had pulled loose from its mount and the door was off the guide. The technician reattached the motor chain bracket to the wall, fixed the wiring that was hanging down, fixed the bent guide, adjusted the spring bar springs, and lubricated the spring and all wheels. The Technician also installed screws when reattaching the mounting board for the motor instead of nails like the builder did. He also installed some screws for the two warped mounting boards for the guides. It took about 1 1/2 hours and everything is fine now. Now the garage door will probably outlive me. Good Job! Very happy with the work performed.

Just as I saw in other reviews on here, the business owner Skye answered immediately when I called and was very kind and detailed. I am a first time home buyer and just closed two weeks ago and knew that a garage door motor needed to be replaced. I explained to him what was happening, and he knew exactly what needed to be done. The service representative came out in the allotted time frame and performed the work at a great pace. The hauled away all of the old stuff so I didn't have to trash it. He showed me how to use all of the remotes and keypads that came with the motor. I picked their higher end motor for $450 and it came with 2 remotes and a keypad for outside. I am a techie and he explained to me all of the cool things you can do to set it up for wifi and such to connect to my phone. He was very knowledgeable of his service and kind and willing to answer any innocuous questions I had,

Called the company Friday morning after one of the springs on my garage door had broken. Person took information over phone and called back in a very few minutes to schedule earliest possible appointment, which was Monday between 1 and 4. Technician called before 1 o'clock on Monday to indicate that he was on the way. All went well. Technician knew what he was doing. He worked quickly and efficiently. Would definitely use this company for any future garage door service or repairs.

The owner, Skye, answered the phone immediately when I called to check on their prices. He answered several questions for me and was extremely nice and helpful. I called several other places and decided to call him back to have them do the work. I wanted to have the opener installed the next day and was hoping to have it done after I got off work at 5. He was able to accomodate my schedule and arranged for the work to be done quickly. The installer arrived promptly at 5 the next day to do the work. He installed a new opener, security beams and an external panel in addition to removing the old opener and was able to do all of the work in less than an hour. I really appreciated the way he showed me how to program the remotes and set the security codes on the exterior panel. He made sure I knew everything about the new system before he left. This was a very professional and friendly company and I would highly recommend them.

We have a wooden garage door that is about 40 years old. According to the tech, door is in excellent condition. Originally the door would not go all the way down. I thought it was the sensors and possibly memory board based on the lights flashing on our Craftsman 1/2 hp opener. After troubleshooting, got the door to go down, but it would not stay and eventually the motor overheated. We called Affordable on Monday and they had someone to come out on Tuesday. Tech was suppose to come between 1-3 pm but did not arrive until 4:45 p.m. The owner Skye, who is AWESOME, had already informed us around 2:15 tech would be an hour late due to previous job. Once tech arrived was very informative and professional. He explained everything to my mother to where should could understand. The normal charge in our area for techs to come out is around $85.00. I had already called 3 other companies in the AREA and they could not get anyone out until Thursday or Friday. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND WOULD DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN IF NEEDED.

I love my new garage door! The design is attractive, it's the perfect shade of soft white, the windows at the top provide light and privacy. With my old wooden, non-automated garage door, I never parked inside. Now I always park inside, using my remote to open the door. Also, the key pad gives me code word entrance into my house. This has been a wonderful update to my beloved old home! I would do it again and recommend Skye and his associates at Affordable Garage Doors as good to work with and a reliable organization.

It went great. He just did what needs to be done. Whatever I had was not broken something that came with it and he fixed it and he did not charge me.

My installation appointment was for 9:00am on May 1st. The head installer, Greg, called at 8:00am to say that they had worked on their previous customer's job until midnight and they still were not finished, so could they reschedule for later in the day. They came at 11:00am and got right to work removing the old wood doors and rails. I went back to my office, and when I returned, they were nearing completion of the installation, but said they needed to come back in the morning to finish up with trim and to install one of the door openers (they needed some more wood to install it properly). They came back at 8:30 today and completed the job. Greg managed to salvage one of my existing openers and provided me with a new remote control, a very pleasant surprise. The new doors operate smoothly, fit tightly, and the wood-grain finish looks fabulous! The workers were careful to clean up after themselves, in fact they volunteered to haul off some additional "junk" for me, along with the remains of my old doors & equipment.. I am very satisfied. The curb appeal of my house has increased at least 100%!

Everything was smooth. From the first meeting with Skye to making my payment when it was all done. They ordered the doors and within two weeks were able to install them. I liked the garage door opener that I bought for one door so much that I ask them to put one on the other door as well. They did that within two days and the job was completed. Very please with this company and everyone who works there.

Personally, I am in the Customer Service business. I do IT work for a large corporation in the Southeast. It is imperative that I do a good job because that is what makes people want to continue to work with me. Therefore, I have a high expectation for good customer service. Affordable Garage Doors installed our Garage Door and it was truly a pleasure working with them. I would recommend them to family, friends and neighbors. Before choosing to go with Skye at AGD, I actually looked at another company in Cullman, but my interaction on the phone with the voice of that company was not helpful. Therefore, I kept looking and I was glad to speak with Skye and see what they offered. Affordable Garage Doors is big on delivering excellent customer service. The installer did a great job, the new garage door looks good, it is quiet, and I am glad I went with the 3 layer insulated door. The only thing I would change, and it's not AGD's fault, is I wish the garage door came with two remote controls instead of one, since we have two vehicles that will be driving into the garage. Other than that, fantastic job, thanks for making it an enjoyable experience. **Update** So, when Skye found out I needed a second remote control for our Garage Door, he went above and beyond again to make sure that we received it complimentary. Thanks Skye! On a side note, we are loving our insulated garage door. We have noticed a huge temperature difference on that side of our home. We are glad we went with the 3 layer insulated garage door. The second remote control will make the wife very happy now!! Thank you for great customer service guys! Worth every penny! The installer arrived on time, and went straight to work. He made all the adjustments to ensure that the garage doors open and closed properly. He loaded the original doors, clean up the work area and installed the original doors on my son's house the same day. He was effective and efficient with dismantling and installation of both sets of doors. This company wasn't the lowest bid nor the highest, however I highly recommend this company for their professionalism in the initial estimation and their follow through. The old saying, you get what you pay for, is usually the rule, however in this case I received more.

Well, they had the best price out of the 3 estimates I received so they would have had to beat their own price. I got a certain peace about him and truly felt like he was a straight shooter. Fortunately, Affordable Garage Doors had a line of Clopay steel doors that looked like wood and that's the ones we decided to go with and now all my neighbors are jealous haha. The installer that did the job was just as kind as the owner and was very efficient and professional. I believe the technician's name was Tom. Tom told me everything I needed to know about my new system and new doors and also made sure he cleaned up after himself once the job was completed. Affordable also installed two new belt driven openers for us and gave us a lifetime warranty on them. Also, the owner threw in a free touch keypad that Tom mounted on the outside of the frame of the doors. In closing, I wouldn't be here on AngiesList if it weren't for hiring Affordable Garage Doors. I received a handwritten thank you card in the mail a couple days ago that included a gift card to a local restaurant as well as a promo code to get a discounted AngiesList membership, which I of course took advantage of. I wish I needed garage doors more often because I don't know how many companies send you a free dinner for doing business with them haha.
