Great fast reasonable and on time!

I read reviews of several tree companies on Angie's List and called four for estimates. Each came promptly and gave estimates. ACE Tree underbid the others. I was a bit nervous regarding a previous review that was negative, but decided to give them a chance. We set up a date to have the trees removed. The afternoon before the scheduled date, Adam called to say they were working nearby and would I like them to come early. This worked for me and they arrived and began working immediately. I could not believe how quickly they took down two dead pine trees, which I estimated to be 60-70 feet tall. Each person had specific tasks and worked in tandem. All the dead trees and limbs were piled together, and Adam told me his debris truck would pick them up the next morning. They blew off the yard, even parts that were not affected by the cutting. Due to the position of the trees, my neighbors kindly gave access on their driveway, and ACE also blew off that driveway. After the debris was collected the next morning, everything looked great. They even hauled away large limbs that had fallen before they began working. I would recommend ACE and I would use them again.

The workmen arrived on time with high-tech equipment. We were real impressed with the professional manner of the workers and the equipment. They removed the tree, and carried it all away. Then they used a grinder to remove the stump, and cleaned up the yard. We were pleased with the job, and would use them again.

The best word I can use to describe ACE tree service is unprofessional. I contacted Adam, the owner, on a Monday and we made plans to meet at my home the following afternoon to look at the work I needed done. I left work early to meet him there and he never showed up. He called a week later and apologized and though I probably should not have, I made another appointment to meet him. I needed the work done and liked the fact that he was a certified arborist. He seemed very personable when me met and I liked the fact that he seemed to want to help me keep a lot of the trees and trim them, not just cut them all down. He quoted me a reasonable price but when I mentioned to him the coupon he had on Angie's List, he said he would not honor that; he "had given me the lowest price he could". The price was reasonable, so I agreed, but I thought it very unprofessional to advertise a discount and then not honor it. He gave me a day the following week that the work would be done. It rained earlier that week and the office called and informed me that the work would have to be done later in the week because of that. No big deal and I appreciate that they called to inform me of that. They showed up later in the week but before they could start work, they had to leave for an emergency job. I understand that and was told I would be called with a day they could reschedule. I waited more than a week and never received a phone call. I called their office and was told I was on the schedule for a day the following week. Great, but it would have be nice to know that. That day came and went, they never showed up. I called several times the following week to find out when the job would be done, both to the office and Adam's cell phone, without a return phone call. Finally, I was able to reach Adam and his explanation as to why the work had not been done seemed to be that he had underbid the job and it was going to be more work than he first thought. So rather than call me and discuss that fact with me, they had basically been ignoring the job and my phone calls, probably hoping I would go away. However, I needed the tree work done and there had already been such a delay, I told him that if he would just do the tree work, I would get someone else to haul off the debris. He agreed to that and his office called me with a date 2 weeks from that day. They finally did come that day and do the work (approx. 6 weeks later) and to his credit, they did the work we originally agreed upon, including removal of the debris. In the process, they severed my underground invisible fence, but I was able to repair that without too much trouble. The bottom line is that the work was done adequately and the price was reasonable. However, given their poor communication, lack of professionalism and refusal to honor advertised specials, I cannot recommend them nor will I use them again.

Adam came out to provide a reasonable estimate and make recommendations. We agreed on a price and a date. The first day they were supposed to come out, I received a call that one of the workers was sick and others had to be rearranged so they needed to push me back a day. The next time they were supposed to come out I received a call that they couldn't come and needed to move the day again. The THIRD time they were supposed to come out I received a call that a major piece of equipment had failed. I rescheduled for the day after Labor Day (2.5 weeks later to allow them to make sure everything was set up correctly) and confirmed that this was not to be changed for any reason. I emailed the Friday evening before to confirm that they were coming - no response, granted it was Labor Day weekend and I didn't send the email until after 6pm Friday. On the scheduled day, I received an email back from Peggy, the schedule coordinator, stating that my appointment was actually for 2 days later - not at all what we set up before. I called Adam and Peggy to let them know that I appreciated the estimate but would be taking my business elsewhere due to their lack of reliability and coordination - I can not work with a business that continues to jerk me around. They both apologized and said 'thank you'. Now, 6 weeks after starting this process, I have to start over again.

Great overall experience. Made sure we were happy with job. Carried all trees away same day. Not the lowest estimate, but willing to come off initial estimate to get be more competitive with the other company.

They came promptly to look and give their quote. When we called and gave them the go ahead, they came promptly. They did exactly as requested, did NO damage to ANY existing landscaping, cleaned up everything and were very professional throughout.

Very well. Trimmed 2 very large evergreens and gound 2 cedar stumps (lost of ground cover for flower beds!).

Great. We called, got estimate and since they were already working in the neighborhood, everything was done from first call to completion in 2 days.

ACE Tree Service was impressive. I called for an estimate at 9a on Tuesday morning, before my wife could turn around, someone was already out estimating the job. They gave what I thought was an unbeatable price, and told us that they could come the next day to remove 3 large trees and 4 smaller trees. They started the job at 2p and were done before 7p. The team was brutally efficient and amazing to watch, particularly with the use of the crane. The neighbors and I were in awe of the acrobatics and the way that they lifted huge limbs over the roof with ease and then expertly dissected the trees down. They cleaned everything up and barely left a trace in our yard, driveway, or the street. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I would definitely recommend ACE Tree Service. I spoke with Adam yesterday regarding a dead tree in our front yard that was between a few power lines. He called me when he arrived at our home, looked at the tree, quoted a price, and stated that they would be able to take care of it within the next week. He left a service quote in our mailbox and said to call him with any questions. Late yesterday afternoon Adam called again to tell me that they had already removed the tree and cleaned up the area. I was shocked at how quickly they were able to complete the service! The stump is very flat to the ground and there is no sawdust to speak of. Cleanup was great and you can't be the promptness of the service. I will use ACE again when we move an ornamental tree from our back patio to another location in the yard. Adam is a certified arborist, so we will trust him with moving this expensive tree safely.

While having some (rather expensive) tree work done by another tree service, the tree service owner pointed out a dangerous tree hanging over a neighbor's house at the back of my lot. He quoted me a price of $2500 to remove it. I did some word-of-mouth research and then checked the recommended services on Angie's List. Ace looked good, so I checked out their website and called them. I spoke with Adam who said he would go by and have a look. The next day he called and quoted me a price less than half of what the other service had proposed. I wasn't even around when they did the work, but the tree was removed safely and the area was cleaned up nicely. They came promptly and were easy to deal with. They know what they're doing, and I'll be calling them again when needed.

Talk about the art of -- " WOW " !!! Ace tree Service was scheduled to start this job on Thursday, February 14th at 10:00am. Adam (the owner) and his crew showed up a little early -- around 9:00am. Adam's "crew" included: 1) A massive crane and crane operator, 2) A large stump grinder and operator, 3) A tree trimmer that probably doubles as a mountain climber is his spare time just to relax, and 4) A clean-up crew (3-4) with large truck and on-board crane to haul all debris (and FIRE WOOD) away! Initially was concerned that there would be some damage in the process of removing these large trees. Had landscale lights and a 4-foot Japanese tree right next to the 40-foot elm tree that I was really concerned about. My concerns were quickly put to rest....... These guys are real pros! Ace Tree Service worked efficiently and surgically to remove these trees and the post clean-up exceeded my expectations. They had all the right equipment, knew how to use it and were gone in about three hours!!! They put on quite a show too. ( I would have paid THEM just to watch them work.) Ace Tree Service left my home about 30 minutes ago. I have a very busy day scheduled today -- however, I could not leave the house without giving these guys some credit -- Thank you Ace tree Service! The first time I contacted him a storm occurred shortly after and he didn't come out for an estimate when he said he would. That is understandable, as he was covered up with emergency work. Since then he has always been responsive and quick with an estimate and comes when he says he will. He is totally professional as are all of his crew members, and they do excellent work. Previous contractors have butchered my trees at times. ACE Owner Adam Elliot is a certified arborist and they're the only ones I would trust with a cherished tree. I don't plan to use anyone else for trees ever again.

They completed the job in a timely manner, did good work, and left the area clean after finishing.

The workers were extremely polite, and they were so aware of their surroundings that not one tree branch fell onto the main road by my house. Furthermore, they did excellent work and charged a fair price for their services.

Concerning the last job Adam did, the 5 trees, some large and some small were too close to the swimming pool and I was concerned that they might fall onto the screened in pool. He came with his crew and had the trees down by that afternoon. He cleaned up the area and ground the stumps. He left the area clean. I had no limbs or such to clean up. I would recommend Adam of Ace Tree Service to anyone who needs the work done right. Adam is kind and polite and gives you a good price. His work is excellent and his crew work very hard. We used ACE Tree Service after receiving numerous emergency phone calls at 10pm while on vacation in Mobile, AL, that four of our rental properties in Huntsville (300 miles away) had sustained tornado damage. In fact one tree had landed on one tenants 1980 T-top Camaro and could not be moved without a crane to save the Sea-Doo's parked beneath.. Luckily no one and none of the dwellings sustained major damage. Not so for the five 40ft+ pine trees. We were unable to get immediate service from any of the Huntsville vendors when we called Adam (he grew up in Huntsville) to see if he had any recommendations for getting us someone to help our tenants until we could get back home. Adam said he could get to Huntsville first thing the next morning and could take care of it for us, even procuring the crane locally. By the end of the day all of the trees had been moved away from creating further damage and were removed next day. Adam recommended a local stump grinder to complete the root removal as it would have cost us a bit more for them to come back up from B'ham. ACE even worked with our insurance company on payment.

They were outstanding. They were timely and professinal. They job they did was above and beyond what I exepected.

I recommend them highly and found out about them in the newspaper. I will use them again in the future.

They didn't take off the stumps. My husband was happy enough to have them out for the second time to give us a quote. Their quote was the most reasonable one. They did everything that they said they were going to do. They were professional, as they did everything well. I probably would use their services in the future too.

ACE Tree Service arrived on time and performed the work quickly. Because it was a large tree close to structures and landscaping, there was a fairly limited amount of space to work in. However, they brought the tree down in sections and raked the yard. They replaced a swingset and bird feeders. They even did a little extra job that was too big for me to do myself at no additional cost. Best of all, the price was right. I really liked these guys.
