Description of Work: my oven was completely dead with no electricity showing. they said after looking it all over a new one was needed.. HOWEVER 7 days later it all appeared.. It was in a hiberation mode??? Very few have it and mine did..Who knew???? Maybe he needs a little more info incase this happens again for someone..

Description of Work: they discovered a loose bolt on they washing machine that had allowed a belt to slip down. Ray, the technician, completed the repair very quickly. He was very knowledgeable, very professional, but also very personable. His visit was, in every way, a good experience.

Description of Work: I purchased the top model Bosch Dishwasher from S & S Appliance. From the original installation to finally having to buy another dishwasher this was a nightmare. S & S worked on my Bosch Dishwasher at least 20 times, including removing it completely and leaving us without a dishwasher for a week . They refused to replace it new when it was an obviously worthless. I will NEVER do any business with S & S Appliance Service Again. In all fairness, S &S Appliance did close their main appliance stores during last year this time after 50+ years being in business. I purchased most everything in my houses and business from them over the last 20 years. It's my understanding the brother of the original owner took over and kept the service company separate and in my opinion as failed miserably. I was really disappointed with Bosch as well. They were no help during this supposed warranty period. The replacement dishwasher cost me an additional $1,800.00 that's no included in the overall expense.

Description of Work: Our refrigertor's freezer stopped working. My husband called ASAP, but the person there told my husband that McCalla was out of his area. ASAP recommended S&S. My husband called the man at ASAP, gave him the serial and model numbers and told him the symptoms. The repairman was on time, had the part with him and repaired the freezer quickly. Very good service.

Description of Work: I called for a repair to my refrigerator, because I had used S & S in the past. I can be home by 3:30 in the afternoon without taking a day off work, but I was told that they could not get anyone to come out as late as 3:30pm in the afternoon! This is not the service oriented company it once was. Their new attitude "bankers' hours" may have them going the way of too many bankers these days. I will call another service company.

+ -1 moreS & S Appliances have been out to our home on several occasions and they have always been able to fix whatever appliance was broken. The service men were real professional and they didn't need to replace any parts so it was a one time trip and were able to get our refrigerator working properly. My refrigerator was under warranty.
Description of Work: They fixed my refrigerator that wasn't cooling properly.

+ -1 moreS & S Appliance Service Company does a great job of providing quality service. They are always here as scheduled. The worker was friendly and polite. They are a good company with a good reputation. The dryer dries the laundry fast again. I would recommend them to others.

+ -1 moreWe have been hiring S & S for almost twenty years and they have repaired just about all of our appliances at least once. They respond quickly and always do the job in one trip. The washer repair took less than forty five minutes and the workman explained exactly what was wrong and showed us the faulty part. We have no intention of hiring anyone else to be responsible for our appliances.
Description of Work: S & S Appliance Service Company repaired our clothes washing machine. It would not complete the spin cycle.

+ -1 moreThis was actually the second company we called to repair our ice maker. The first could not make it for several days. S & S came over the very day we called and discovered the problem almost immediately. The icemaker was then repaired in a little over an hour. Their service was fast and the technician was very nice as well. From now on S & S gets all of our business.
Description of Work: S & S Appliance repaired the icemaker in our refrigerator. It was not keeping the contents frozen.

+ -1 moreI have used this company for years and they have always been reliable and friendly. The man wiped down the outside of the washer after he finished working on it and cleaned things up real nice.
Description of Work: The technician came by and installed a new part to the transmission in my washer. The gears were stuck and it would not change gears like it should.
