Rogers Septic Tank

On time, very nice and professional.

We hired Rogers to do an inspection of our septic tank before purchasing our home. He ran a bit late, but communicated with us about it. When he arrived, he apologized and explained himself, and did the inspection. He pointed out that there was something about how the pipe was laid into the tank that was inefficient, but that if we were willing to wait a bit longer he would get the part and do the repair for free. He stuck by his word, got the part, fixed the pipe, and still only charged for the inspection. He said it was a simple enough fix, and that he had that part, that since the tank was already uncovered, there was no sense in uncovering the tank twice and charging for an inexpensive part.

After calling and getting several verbal estimates, I settled on Roger's based on price and the other review on this site. They were able to come out within 2 days to perform the service. My wife was actually the one at home for this event and these are recounts of her experience. They called about 20 mins before they got here to let her know they were on the way. Upon arrival, one guy started getting everything ready while the other explained what they were about to do. During the process, they noticed some water trickling into the tank. They came back to the door and told her about it. That's when it dawned on her that you can't wash dishes while you're getting your septic tank emptied. Once they were done, they came in and checked for running toilets, fixtures, etc. just to be certain that the dish washing was the source of the trickle. They also gave her some advice on what we should do for the best care for the system. They were here for maybe 30-45 mins. They were courteous and professional and performed they service they were hired to do. As a footnote, I think they will only dig up to 16 inches deep and our tank is about 3 feet deep, so I dug it up myself and cannot offer comment on their digging.

I was in an emergency situation and they came out the quickest but they also had the best price. They came out within one or two days and they were courteous and prompt. They suggested that the problem was that there was something stuck in an indoor line and they offered to come out to clean it, but we fixed the situation ourselves with a remedy we found online. Our septic tank was due to be pumped anyway and now we have someone that we can trust to do work like that. Many contractors damage your property in some way in the process of fixing your problem, but I do not believe Rogers did; they even parked their truck on the street instead of in our driveway.
