+ 0 moreFour months later the contracted work has not been completed and attempts to contact Mr. Provost have been unsuccessful. Would not recommend Affordable Remodeling - Alabaster. If you do contract with this company, do not pay fund until the work is completed to your satisfaction. Also, at this point, I'm out $429.
Description of Work: Contracted with Mr. Provost (Affordable Remodeling - Alabaster) on July 13, 2017 to install a storm door - cost $785. Measurements taken and $429 as a down payment for services. Numerous calls to no avail. On 9/20 Mr. Provost and assistant arrived with door, however, the door was 6" to short. Would re-order ASAP. On October 9th Mr. Provost called and advised the door was due in this week and would get back to me on an install date. Efforts to contact Mr. Provost (telephone & text) to no avail.

+ -1 moreWe would not recommend this vendor. We asked for a refund in the last text but no response.
Description of Work: We have really had a bad experience with this company. We called to have a storm door installed (got the number from Thumbtack and Angie's List). On 7/19/17 Mr. Ellis Provost arrived and took careful measurements of the door and gave us a quote of $785 total. We had to pay him $430 up front. We were told the estimated time of installation would be roughly 6 weeks. After numerous texts and calls, Mr. Provost finally showed up on 9/20/17 with a door that was 6" too short. He said he would order the right size asap. Again after many calls and messages, Mr Provost finally called on 10/9/17 and said the door would be in this week and he would arrange installation. It is now 11/1/17 and we have heard nothing from him. Once again we have sent numerous texts and messages with no return calls. Very disappointing and we are out the $430.
