Description of Work: Roof inspection and tune up. Looked at roof. Did not seal around vent stacks. I asked for an estimate on replacing some shingles. Estimated price was $650 to replace 27 shingles. I feel like I wasted my $39 for a roof inspection.

Description of Work: Ivan Clofelter of Yellowhammer Roofing provided us pricing options for 3-tab asphalt shingles, architectural asphalt shingles, "plain" metal roofing, and shake-style metal shingles; for each, he described the pros and cons such as high-wind/hail resistance and lifetime of materials; he showed price differences between 25/30-year and lifetime warranties, what to expect from Yellowhammer and manufacturer for each warranty type. He was willing to meet us across town near our place of work to look at shingle samples. After the job was done, Ivan proudly and happily showed me the detailed workmanship of the architectural shingles we chose: Owens Corning TruDefinition® Duration® Designer Colors Collection (Color: Aged Copper) as well as the ice/water barrier, ridge vent and lead pipe flashing. | |The work crew was fantastic -- they were friendly, hardworking and the foreman, Martin, talked me through what to expect, including cleaning up nails using a magnet sweeper. | |The best part was the additional service. I paid the foreman extra to remove the old gutters, a service he was glad to provide and still complete the roof replacement on time. Our chimney is sided with western cedar and had signs of rot (the house is 27 years old). Ivan went to the \trouble of finding paint to match our house and the work crew completely resided the chimney and painted the new wood -- now it looks better than new! | |Overall, we are extremely satisfied with Yellowhammer Roofing, from start to finish, and highly recommend their turnkey service for not only replacing the roof but also repairing the chimney.

Description of Work: Super experience: Professional, prompt, timely, competent, great value. I interviewed six reputable contractors before I selected Bass Wallace and Yellowhammer Roofing. They were head over heels different. They were totally focused on how they could satisfy my needs versus how quickly they could get a check and do what they wanted to do (as most of the others did). If they said they were going to call you back at a certain time, they did. If they said they were going to perform a certain service, they did. I didn't ask for pictures of interim steps, but I got them anyway. They cleaned up perfectly and did all of their work well before I even paid them. I highly recommend them and could not have had a better experience. Even the owners Roger and Will Jones stopped by. These guys are totally committed to your satisfaction. The office staff Beth and Robyn were ultra responsive and professional especially when I had to constantly deal with the insurance claim adjuster, and mortgage company. Bass is TOP NOTCH and even drove me around to multiple other houses that had roof types similar to what I was considering. The quality of materials Yellowhammer Roofing used were superior to others for the same price (i.e., lead pipe boots vs rubber boots that rot & heavy duty underlay vs cheaper felt). When they noticed that my roof decking had rot in some areas, rather than cover over it, they stopped, photographed it, replaced it, and told be about it after the fact. They charged me a nominal charge to correct it. My attic breathes better and is much cooler after they installed the RIDGE VENTS. Yellowhammer Roofing is also a Platinum Certified Installer and increased the wind rating of my roof installation from 65mph to over 135mph. I now get compliments routinely from my guest on the beauty and the quality of my home because of the appearance of the roof. Description of Work: Yellowhammer Representative came on Monday to inspect my roof. Representative stated he would get back with me on Tuesday with an estimate. Today is Saturday and I still have not been contacted with an estimate. (NOTE: The Yellowhammer estimate is no longer needed since I contacted another local roofing contractor who inspected my roof yesterday and made the necessary repairs this morning.)
