Brian Bentley won the contract to redo my bathroom shower (total value $11,000). The shower was damaged due to poor workmanship and poor materials (another builder). He signed a contract that would have him do the work, and get paid ON COMPLETION. He did tear out the old shower and had a vent installed. On top of the contract I had some plumbing done and some electrical work done ($290) for which he was paid up front. He asked me to use W W Supplies in Huntsville. I have filed a report on them on Angies list, you might want to read that. WW Supplies refused to sell me the materials... I have no idea why. The next day, Brian asked for some money so his wife would be happy, so I paid for the shower vent ($380) and $500 for the tearout (even though I did not have to). He had someone sitting in my driveway the next morning who removed all building supplies from the garage. He immediately cashed the checks (one of them possibly fraudulently because it was not made out to him, it was made out to Dave Wright of DW Systems, Huntsville, AL), the bank is currently looking into that. Ultimately, all is OK. I paid him for what he did, no more no less. But his dishonesty is way too much to take. He could have spoken to me about it instead of going behind my back and sneaking off with the materials. His ultimate complaint is he did not want to work under a contract. At least that is what he told me. He said the contract protected me more than it protected him. Really? Of course! I'm the one paying him $11,000! If he wanted more protection, he should have had his own contract to sign. Now, I am stuck holding the bag. All in all, I would MOST DEFINITELY NOT reccomend him or WW Supplies.

Brian was a true professional from start to finish. We received a recommendation from a local tile store after our first installer suggested using an unconventional application technique. Brian returned phone calls promptly and was able to come just a few days later to schedule an estimate. We thought it was a fair price and decided to proceed. He was able to start the following week. Brian came up with several ideas to enhance the aesthetics of the different projects. The finished product looks beautiful. He worked efficiently and cleaned up each day when he left. He even gave us hints how to clean/recolor the grout for our kitchen floor doing it ourselves. He is honest and fair, and it was a pleasure to do business with him. Highly recommend.
