ROCK BOTTOM CARPETS

My experience also w/Huntsville location. This has been a while back so I'm sure I am leaving out some details but what I remember is bad enough. The installer's appearance was not great for a wife and mother who was and is at home alone for most part of the day. He had a neck tattoo.(jobstopper) and other prison looking tattoos. He also had the notorious handyman crack.(plumbers crack). When he spoke he sounded gay. It grossed me out when he would use the hammer to put down the tack board. When he would hit the hammer he sounded like a gay man in prison if you know what I mean. Come to find out, he was married and had a daughter. I know this because they came back the next day with him to help. The wife was doing the seams. I think it was her first time because you can see every one of them. I also now have two thresholds dividing my master bathroom and bedroom when I'm only supposed to have one one is marble the other is the basic brass the reason being is because he did not either cut the carpet to the right measurement or measured wrong he had other excuses I can't remember what it was at the time he also filled a corner where the carpet was cut too short with remanence of a mixture of carpet fragments and padding and glue them tucked in the corner I had also mentioned that I wanted to get base molding in all of the rooms he had told me that he could do that for me at a reasonable price which she did and it was a reasonable price but you get what you pay for there are many gaps in the molding throughout the house I had called rock bottom carpets to speak with them about all of this and as far as the molding I was told that I did not contract with rock bottom carpets for the molding I verbally contracted with the installer when I told him yes he could do the molding for me so there was nothing that they could do I being just the consumer had no idea I'm not a contractor nor an installer I don't know the ins and outs of this business so basically I'm stuck with shoddy work and rock bottom carpets did not seem to care I gave them a rating of a D because unfortunately I have dealt with worse

first- a next day install lasted 4 days. Here is the timeline- Friday- Sent man to measure and collect 1/2 payment.- they dont install on weekends. Monday- 3 rooms done. and ran out of carpet...their excuse. THE MAN WHOSE ONLY JOB IT WAS TO MEASURE...MEASURED WRONG!!!!! workers left cigarette butts on my driveway. Dr. Pepper cans on my kitchen counters. Tuesday- workers supposed to be there at 8- got a call at 8:45- Man on the phone says they still do not have carpet. I called BS but unfortunately, I am at their mercy. so no carpet install on Tuesday. Wednesday- supposed to be there at 8 show up at 945. Finally finished carpet Carpet looks OK but they did not do anything to clean up. No vacuuming, no pickup. Here is my beef: VALID POINTS No Next Day install. no courtesy call beforehand for late arrival wrong measurement??? BS - that is his only job...if that is true. Totally incompetent employee!!! shipment did not come in??? BS - - I can guarantee they had another job that needed that carpet and they put us off- we picked their most popular carpet and you would imagine they would have it in stock. cigarette butts on my driveway- cans in my house. Please this is ridiculous. My recommendation- Other vendors- big box stores- offer a better value but it would have taken 2-3 weeks for install and charge a fee for measuring ,not a problem if you have the time and money. we chose this vendor so that we could have the house on the market in a timely fashion. Obviously, per our experience, we chose wrong. Last word. Buyer beware.
