 + -1 moreHe never showed up and would never call me back after the first vist.
Description of Work: He came out the day I called. I explained what I was looking for him to do. He made some recommendations of his own and they all sounded good. I asked for a quote at the time and he said he didn't know and would have to figure it up. He said he'd call me back. Two days later I still hadn't heard back from him. I called him back after two days. When I talked to him again he said he hadn't figured out a price. He said he would call me back. I called him again two days later. I asked again what he would charge. He said he was on a job currently and would get back with me. I called back the next day. He finally said $500.00. I asked him when he could come. He said next Tuesday and Wednesday. He said if it rained he would be there sooner as the job was indoors. The next Tuesday came around be he did not. I never heard from him again and I never called him back again.

 + -1 moreRemoved damaged door and installed a new and improved door. Then a few months later he came back at our request and checked the door operation to find a cause for a noise. Readjusted and things were fine. In late August he dropped by to see why I could not get my new car's garage opener button to sync with my door. Thought something was wrong with the opener. He checked everything and then he fixed it so I could open the door remotely with my car. He did not charge for the visit. I would highly recommend him for anything concerning automatic garage doors. Not many people this day and age would come out and figure out how your car remote works and then sync it for you for free.

Description of Work: I would recommend this company, we had our front door, bedroom and bath door all repaired and our main gate. He did a great job and we plan on using him again for other things, he does all kind of repairs and remodeling.

Description of Work: Contacted him for service/estimate. He came over the same day to review work. Stated he could do the immediate repairs easily. Stated he would be back/in contact within just a few days. HE NEVER CAME BACK AND NEVER CONTACTED US ABOUT WORK ANY MORE. We move on to a different contractor.

Description of Work: This is a home remodeling project and The Doorman have done several different types of jobs and will return. His work is excellent and I highly recommend The Doorman.

 + 0 moreIt was very difficult getting through to Mr. Cotton (which he blamed on his phone) but he finally agreed to do my work if I had the materials ready. Mr. Cotton was delayed arriving at my home and knew up front that I had to leave in 3 hours. They worked quickly but also left a mess inside and out for me to deal with because they ran out of time. Mr. Cotton also asked what I was doing with the windows when he took them out and I glady offered them to him but when he quoted the price, I wanted to change my mind! I'm not that person so I didn't. I had all the materials they needed. I think the price was high and it upset me but I was late for my appt. and was just trying to leave.
Description of Work: Mr. Cotton and his worker removed two kitchen windows(over the sink size), installed roll insulation and covered the exterior opening with rough cedar boards to match the exterior of my home. He also added 2x4s to support the boards. The interior wall was left open for electrical and plumbing work to be completed by my kitchen remodel contractor. I also have a brick wall in the kitchen and they installed studs from the ceiling down approx. 30" to the wall so kitchen cabinets will be able to be installed level with the wall.

 + 5 moreI was so pleased that I am having him come back to do 2 more projects. He was a professional, a gentlemen, and trust worthy. I would solely recommend him. He was a great person and did great work. I could tell he takes pride in his job and his work. I felt very comfortable with him in my home.
Description of Work: I showed him all the things I wanted to have done and I had 1 project I needed to take care of right away. I am having my house remodeled and he helped finish up some incomplete job. He will be coming back to do my garage door. He did a lot of odds and ins. He patched holes, hung a closet system, fixed a problem on my floor, fixed the handle on the toilet, and more.

 + -1 moreMr. Cotton is very pleasant to work with. He let me pick out the doors and he picked them up at the store which was very helpful. This being an older home he did have to work to be sure all doors fit. He even replaced our front door which was a little difficult. Overall he did a good job.

 + 6 moreMr. Cotton has worked for me on and off for three years and he has done everything from installing a garage door to remodeling and deckwork. He is a perfectionist and can also do great tile work.

His prices were about three hundred dollars cheaper than the other local companies and I haven't had any trouble with my doors. He has been in the community for years and I got good references from his other customers before I used him.
