+ -1 moreWhen I requested the service I advised them that I knew what the problem was and had the part on hand, all it was required was the installation of the cooling fan in the slide-in range. I was quoted a price of $75.00 for labor per hour. I asked:" all I have to pay is the $75 per hour for repair?" Kim confirmed. She also told me that at one time it took two hours to replace a fan. The repair was done in less than an hour but I was charged $170.-. $95.00 for the service call plus the $75.00 labor. I questioned the charges and the repairman called Kim and I also talked to her. Result: We have to pay $170.00 for 40 minutes of work. I understand that usually, the repairman has to come to diagnose the problem, order the part, come back, and repair the appliance. In our case, he only had to come once to install the part. The repair guy was very courteous and did a great job. Communication and pricing are lousy. I will never recommend or use Clevenger again

Description of Work: The repairman looked at problem, gave estimated cost to repair and recommended replacement of washer instead of repair- so they actually only made profit on the consult. I appreciated the honesty. This was not the first time I had used Clevenger Appliance Repair and they have always been good to work with.

Description of Work: This is my go to for filters for my refrigerator. The first time I went I didn't know the model number and they looked it up for me. The price can't be beat and I prefer to support small business where you get personalized service without being pressured to buy more.

+ -1 moreEverything went very well and no bad things to say. As a matter of fact , I'm calling him today to see about buying a used fridge for a back up to the one in the house.
Description of Work: He transferred the cooling system from an used refrigerator to my 1937 GE fridge that was bought new by my grandparents in 1937. Parts can't be found for it anymore. He made it work and it works perfectly ! For the amount of work and time it took to do that ,I think the price was fair ( $200.00 ). I have it in my workshop where I can enjoy it almost every day. It allows me to take quick little trips back to my childhood. I am 71 years old and I can visit Maw Maw's kitchen often.

Description of Work: They needed to put the belt back on the washer and add bolts to it so it didn't come off again. The next week, it did the same thing so they came out again and added another bolt and checked the sensors, everything ok. So it started making the noise again and stopping in the middle of the cycle so they sent Tim out who tightened the pulley that was loose. They only charged me the one service call and they have been more than pleasant to work with. I'm still waiting and have my fingers crossed to see if this is going to work. | |I will definitly recommend them and use them in the future. They are very professional.
