On the day that the work was supposed to be done, I was told that they would be at my home by 7 am. I canceled a couple of previous engagements that I had scheduled for that day so that I would be home when they came to do the work. I waited until 9 am that morning and they had not shown up or called. I gave them a call and was told that a man named Steve would call me back. He called back within 10 or 15 minutes and I explained that I had been waiting for over 2 hours at this point for them to show up. He said that the appointment I had made with them had simply "slipped his mind". I was quite upset at that point to be told that I had been waiting for someone who never would have shown up at all had I not called and reminded them. As I stated, I had canceled other plans to be available for them. I told him that I was P.O.'d about the situation. He said he could come the following day and I explained that was not acceptable since I had already made plans for him to do the work on that day. He said that he was sorry and that he'd be at my house to do the job within 3 hours. I waited for the rest of the day and he never called or showed up. I made a couple of posts on their FaceBook page hoping to get a response from them. About a week passed, and I made one final post which prompted one of the owners wives to contact me. I explained the situation to her and she apologized and said that they would try their best to make it right. She called me back later in the day to inform me that they were not going to be able to work anything out. Steve had told her that I was rude to him and cursed him and that he wouldn't do the work. All I said to Steve was that I was P.O.'d (except I used the full words) that I had made arrangements to ensure that I was available and had been waiting for him and I was forgotten about. If he had a problem with what I said, he should have informed me right then instead of agreeing to come and get started on the job within 3 hours. I basically got stood up twice by him on the same day, and the second time is because he outright lied by telling me he'd be coming to my house within 3 hours.
Description of Work: This company gave me an estimate on removing a rather large tree from my front yard.
