Description of Work: John installed a heat pump for me. He and his crew were very professional, prompt and polite. This is the second unit I have purchased from Sims. The first was 16 years ago and the only service performed during that period was one freon charge and a capacitor replaced. I was so pleased with the service it provided I bought another when it died last week. I am not providing a cost for personal reasons but the price was competitively fair. John is a nice guy and in my opinion trustworthy.

 + -1 moreHe ended up having to make multiple trips (20 miles each way) because part he had was defective. He only charged me for a simple service call.
Description of Work: Replace motor for fan on a heat pump. Motor was under warranty.

 + -1 moreEverything about this project met or exceeded our expectations. Their price quote was competitive (next lowest of five bids). Big box quotes were high and were given with a somewhat condescending presentation. All references for Sims were, without exception, glowing. Additionally, I sought recommendations from three local home building contractors. All three highly recommended Sims as their first and only choice. All personnel were professional (If good old boys can be called professional ;-) and worked diligently from the time they arrived until they left. They showed up on time and went out of their way to keep us informed about progress as they completed steps. They cleaned up after each day and finished the job sooner than expected. Having had bad experiences with A/C service in the past, Sims Electric was a breathe of cool fresh air.
Description of Work: Sims Electric replaced two aging A/C units. We purchased complete units that were significantly more energy efficient.
