I would give them an A across the board.

The crew was prompted, skilled and friendly. They even cut damaged limbs on other trees from felling the dead tree. When we were concerned about debris at the curb, Jon was prompted to respond with "they will be back today to pick up the debris" We should have been patient knowing since the job was done with excellence that the debris would be taken care of also. Highly recommend

REVIEW EDIT: I was very specific when getting an estimate that the wood shavings resulting from grinding the tree stump be removed from my yard. The shavings were left where the stump was ground up. A representative from Jon's Tree Service came by today offering to make things right. I suppose too much time has gone by to rectify the problem, but appreciate the gesture.

Jon's team of tree specialist showed up, assessed the task, safely downed trees and cleaned up the site.

They showed up on time. Cut the trees and piled up next to main road, which was about 150 feet from the work site. They had some issues with hauling the trees away and it took them several days until they could get a truck back to haul them away. But Jon kept me updated on the schedule.Very professional. Really knew what they were doing.

This was a big job and Jon exceeded expectations. When they arrived, it was like the cavalry rolled in. He has the right equipment and people to handle the job professionally and efficiently. They worked very quickly and completed in two days. The stumps were ground below grade and they removed all of the debris from their scope along with my burn pile...(thank you!) My yard was clean and regraded where the trees/stumps were removed. Excellent contractor. Competitive price. (Obtained 3 quotes before selecting a contractor.) You won't be disappointed.

OK except shavings where left behind even though I was very specific about their removal when I was getting an estimate.

Jon's Tree Service did an excellent job. I had several large trees that needed to be removed, some close to the house, within a specified time frame. They got the work done quickly and at a reasonable price. They also trimmed others trees and cleaned up an area of bushes and ground down all stumps. I would highly recommend them.

The work was not completed, only because the provider could not commit to a time.

He did a really great job, punctual, provided me with a free estimate, very professional, reasonable pricing, and had a great personality which made me choose him.

Jon came out to look at a tree that needed some work. He judged that the tree would have to be taken down entirely and said that he would call with an estimate, but that he was very busy because of business from his Angie's List coupon. I said that was fine; I wasn't in a hurry. He never called back and I let the matter drop. Jon never ended up performing tree services, as I never followed up with him.

I called for a quote to have several trees removed and was given an appointment time. They arrived promptly and provide a quote that was in line with others I had received. The work was scheduled for the following week. The team arrived on time with the appropriate equipment and did a through and professional job including the cleanup. I'm very satisfied with the result.

The tree was removed with no problems. No signs that it ever even existed were left in the yard. Very Professional and well done. We haven't had the other repair work done yet but it was a huge relief to have Jon co-ordinate all the rest of the repairs and repairmen that will have to be done. The 2000.00 was for the tree removal. There will be other costs for the rest of the work.

It went very well, they did a better job than what he said he was going to provide. He went above and beyond what he said. They were also very clean and professional.

Jon removed a tree close to house. They did a professional job and cleaned any debris left from job.

It worked out okay. I would just give him a medium rating, I wasn't overly impressed. He showed up and did the job but I don't know if I would recommend him. I don't think he did enough in order for what the coupon was supposed to be worth.

It was the best experience from beginning to end. From contact with his secretary to set up and estimate to completion of the job. Prices were reasonable and the work was above and beyond. Jon took extra care to protect the yard and house with some difficult tree removal. He is a really nice guy and pays attention to detail. He was always on time. Jon's secretary told me their goal to the the job well but safety is number one. Since one of our trees was difficult being near house and fence that was important. They did not disappoint me. I will never ever use another tree service and will recommend to all my friends and co-workers.

Everything went well with the exception of the removal of debris. Jon and his team snagged an extra job from one of my neighbors to remove one of his Bradford Pear trees from his yard while they were at my house. They did a good job on the removal of my bushes, shrubs, and trees as well as my neighbor's tree. My neighbor and myself told Jon that yes, we wanted the debris moved as all of it was piled high on my lawn (including my neighbor's tree). Both of us were told independently by Jon it would be removed - I was told it would be the next day and I was fine with that. They never came back which left the public works to remove all of it on Monday. Public works only removed the biggest pieces which resulted in a tremendous mess on my lawn that I was unable to get to cleaning up until the following weekend due to my work obligations and rain. I had taken off the day of the removal and the day after precisely so I could deal with any clean-up, and I had scheduled this job back in August. I got a nice little notice from the homeowner's association that I was in "code violation" with the debris left on my lawn. While they are nothing but bully busybodies who freak out over small things and have zero common sense in matters like this, it still should not have happened. My neighbor was super apologetic and even helped clean up the mess when he got back in town because he was so embarrassed.

We used Jon's Tree Service last fall and at the time we were not AngiesList members and I had no idea that they were even on here until I just crossed their profile, so I did wanna take the time and say what a pleasurable experience it was. We had a lot of overgrowth trees/branches on our property and they basically spent several hours trimming everything in question and cleaning up the property. I would definitely recommend Jon's Tree Service and plan on using them again the next time.

Jon placed plywood over grass before driving bucket truck in yard area. He worked fast and paid careful attention to protecting shrubs, etc., when dropping limbs. I would also like to say that his two-man crew were also very professional and conscientious with their clean-up process. They removed all the debris and used blower for final clean-up. All the guys were very courteous.

Absolutely fantastic from the first phone call. Within a a few hours of talking to him he looked at job to be done. I had an estimate in a timely manner and it was more than fair. He answered all my questions and was professional throughout the whole process. He came exactly when promised. Jon and his crew worked like dogs. It was hot and they never slowed down until it was done. They made sure the area was level and practically raked up every twig. He earned every dime and deserved more. Now that it is done I feel so blessed that I was somehow led to Jon first just by web search, then after seeing other reviews on Angie's list I knew he was who I needed for the job.

It was extra. I think they charged me $600 extra and it was supposed to be so much for $200. To be honest with you I think I got ripped off because I don't think they did enough work for the price they charged me. I've had tree work done before and they did a lot more for less money. They were courteous and all that, and nice and everything, but I think it was a little bit too expensive for the charge, that was, say, $800 worth. For what they did, I don't think it's worth the $800. I wouldn't use them again in the future. I would try somebody else.

Did a good and thorough job of clearing and cleaning an over grown area.

I have been calling them every week since they did the work because they left tree chunks in my neighbors yard and they threw tree logs behind my fence in a green area. They finally came out this morning to clean it. They did not really want to talk to me today when they came out.
