WARNING - DO NOT USE - If you care anything about your delivery date or getting your furniture to it's destination without damage do not use Armstrong Relocation/United Van Lines!!! We contracted with Armstrong Relocation about a month prior to our move. They were responsive and provided a quote that we felt was expensive but in-line with our expectations. On the day before our scheduled pack date, they called to tell us that they had a change of plans and needed to pack and load on the same day. We agreed. After packing we noted a 12 foot long gauge in our hardwood floors (they repaired the damage, but it took a while and lot of effort to get it resolved). The day before our delivery date I called to check on the truck. They were not able to tell me a status. They called me an hour later (around 4 pm) to tell me that the driver had quit and our stuff was East in Nashville, TN. This blew my mind, not only were they going to miss their guaranteed delivery date, but they also weren't going to tell us what happened either. The next few days were emotionally draining. Call after call with them finally to get our deliver 4 days late. Some people might not care about hitting a date, but it took me planning for 2 months to make the dates work, and for my family they were everything. In the end they cost me and my business a billable day. They offered us a pathetic $400 compensation (+ some travel expenses) for the delay. They cost me a billable day (thousands of dollars). When i requested additional compensation for the suffering they put me through, they said that the contract is only $100/day and that I was free to sue them. They showed no sympathy for my situation and didn't seem to care about the impact to their companies reputation. When the shipment arrived several items were missing and many others were broken. We are still in the process of completing damage claims and dealing with the fallout. These guys are very by the book, if it's not in the contract they don't care. I can honestly say that our move was horribly traumatic and caused my wife and I a lot of pain and suffering. Armstrong doesn't seem to care about this though. BUYER BEWARE!!!

It was the worst moving experience I've ever had. I've never had a more disappointing experience. I ended up with thousands and thousands dollars worth of damage to my furniture and antiques. They damaged irreplaceable art work. They couldn't fit all the belongings in the truck, so they left it behind for me to transport myself. They didn't have me properly scheduled. My overall experience with them was poor. I will not use their services in the future.

This went as well with them as we expected and in our eyes they lived up to their big name and reputation. The timing was so precise they caught us off guard and while carrying and moving our property, they were just great about taking care of it all. They were a great group of workers that did what we deemed to be great work.

This company was at my home when they were supposed to be. They packed and wrapped everything up for me. They moved me along ways and they didn't break anything in the process. They were very nice guys. A move like this would probably cost you around $1500 if you would have to pay for it yourself, but the government paid for my move since I was in the service.

They did an okay job of moving us. They didn't really do anything that blew us away but didn't do a spectacular job in any one area either. They got our move done without any hassle or problems. We didn't have anything come up missing or damaged, so we were pleased with that.

They showed up on time shortly after we had finished doing all of our own packing for the move. We did our own packing, so we would know where everything was. They were very kind and courteous, so we thought. Later we discovered that many of our items were broken or damaged, but after filing our claim forms we were quickly reimbursed.
