The AFS crew, lead by Stephen Gilland, along with his associates, Julio and Mauricio, arrived on time, were polite, respectful and professional. The contracted job description was quite extensive, requiring expert knowledge, and an extreme amount of hard physical labor. All were performed efficiently. with respect for the clients property. The entire project was completed in the estimated three days, which included the removal of refuse, debris and a general clean-up. We are extremely happy with the final product knowing that we have made the necessary repairs to our home and gaining the peace of mind that the problem was resolved.

We had a plumbing leak that 2 plumbers did not identify, but Corey Fortner at AFS was able to identify, despite that being outside of their typical job scope. We appreciate y’all!

The foundation repair went ok. The main issue is they tore my water line out of the ground after I told them where it was located. I had it repaired and when they put the dirt back in they dumped it on top of the water line breaking it again a week later. I had to pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement. This caused me to miss time from work which cost me more money. They need to be more careful when they work.

The crew arrived on time agreed upon and they were actually quicker than I expected. They were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I still plan to have the crawlspace encapulated and will be contracting AFS for that project as well. Very pleased with the service I received.

Jim Lynch came out and looked at my house, said he'd get back to me with an estimate, and never contacted me again. I reached out to him twice with no response.

AFS reps responded promptly to our call, came out, spend a lot of time inspecting, explaining and creating an estimate for several things that they said needed to be done. Among their recommendations was digging down 14 feet to install helical piers. We had some significant sticker shock from the whole package of estimates. They offered a discount if we acted quickly. They called later and offered another discount "this week." This was our first estimate. I called a friend who is a retired structural engineer and he spoke to me informally. We then called an independent structural engineer--and also got an additional estimate from someone we heard from a couple of engineers had the best reputation and had been around the longest. No one else recommended the helical piers. Not the independent engineer. Not our experienced former retired engineer, and not the other contractor. The second estimate was considerably more affordable. To be honest, we would never work with a company who offer time-limited discounts for quick decisions. It seems designed to discourage further estimates and signals to me that they would be happy to do the work at a lower cost. I know contractors and vendors do and SHOULD make money on the job--but it's an off-putting sales approach for us.
