Description of Work: Encapsulated crawl space, removed old insulation, treated mildew areas, installed 3 sump pumps and 1 dehumidifier. Work completed in less than a week. Workers were prompt and left area clean. Very pleased with work.

Description of Work: I placed a call for a quote to repair my basement. It was several weeks for someone to even return my call and was going to be another month and a half to come by to see the job, never mind how long it might have been to actually perform the work. I realize businesses get really busy but wow.

Description of Work: After getting many price quotes, I feel that AFS is very overpriced.

Description of Work: After the technician rescheduled my initial appointment for a legitimate reason, I met him to explain the issue and get his recommendations. He was very nice, explained all well and gave me a "ballpark" estimate. He said he would email me a detailed estimate the next day. After several dates with no email from him, I emailed him again. He called and apologized, said he was very busy but would get the estimate to me the next morning. Over 7 months later, I still have no estimate. Needless to say, we did not use this company to do the job. The "ballpark" figure given to me by this company was almost twice the actual cost from the company that I used.

Description of Work: Installed footings & jacks under part of the house, removed insulation & treated mold. Encapsulated the crawl space & installed a dehumidifier. Installed a new entrance door to crawl space. I am very satisfied with the results in both the appearance underneath and the improvement of air quality inside our home!

Description of Work: We have sagging floors in a house that was remodeled back in the 1970's. Steve, the sales guy, came out and took measurements and provided information of what would be need to resolve our problem. He was very professional and provide a reasonable estimate. The only problem ws the work cound not be scheduled for a couple of weeks. I chose another company that gave a very competitive price and could begin immediately. From this experience, I do recommend AFS to anyone who need foundation work.

Description of Work: When we were priced this job we were told buy their salesman that when the jacks would be installed that it would repair the cracks where the ( 3 ) hard wood trees come through. After writing a check for $14900.00 and jack were put in it DID NOT repair the crack where they said it would. AFS hired a masonry man to come in @ the cost of $1750.00 ( they paid that per them ). But the jacks DID NOTHING for my floors as promised . Then they came back and had the nerve to present me with another bill for $9,300.00 which I paid .. But please if you have any questions about this company e-mail me @ walker340@charter.net. I can tell the truth as above about my experience. Times are hard and you do what you say or be person enough to say that you are unable to do it. We asked @ the beginning of this project if they could do it as they were drilling and was told that they were not sure but continued to keep going and charged me for it. If I had it to do over again I would have saved my monies and had a brick guy come in and avoided Alabama Foundation Specialists @ ALL costs. . . . .
