Bates Drywall

Company was recommended by the local building supply company. Promptly came out and gave us an estimate saying it was a small job and would be done in three to four days. They could/would start the next morning. They did show the next day but only to drop off their supplies. They did show again to do the prep work but then it became hit or miss. What should have been three to four days took three weeks. The first week of "service" we had a house sitter who unlocked the door every morning for the company to get in. They only showed once according to the house sitter. Several times they said they would show and then were a no-show. Our phone calls to the company went unanswered. After not showing up several times when they did promise to show I called and explained to the voice mail that I was uncomfortable leaving the house unlocked for extended periods of time, especially if they wouldn't show as promised. I finally spoke to a person and it was obvious they did not listen to my voice message. Basically the fault was turned onto me not leaving the house unlocked. I explained my reasoning again and also explained that the last time they were to show they did not and I passed up an opportunity for overtime at work and angered my boss. It was also mentioned that we were a small job and implied that we were not nearly as important. Eventually the room did get finished. The work was great, the customer service was not.
