Jason was at my house within a few hours of calling him. Nice polite guy. Turned out to be a control panel. Jason answered all of my questions; I felt good about his work. Will definitely recommend him.
Description of Work: Water stopped working Ithought it was the well pump

Very personable, explained everything he was doing and why, had all the right equipment to complete the job, and recommended other competent professionals for the additional work which I needed to have done.
Description of Work: Replaced pipe, pump, sanitized the well and recommended an electrician for installation of a new power cord for the pump.

The Cause Unfortunately, this directly stems from having a delivery in January from a local big box store (with a blue colour scheme) that attempted to deliver about 200 pieces of 5/8and quot; 4x12, sheet rock to us. In their feeble attempt to do so, (not chaining up the rig) and not driving up our driveway in an assertive manner, the chap slid back down and across the driveway and was stuck like that for about 5 hours. It took three local towing rigs to pull him out. In doing so, the plowing away of that part of the driveway and around the well, allowed the frost to go further down and disrupt our line and the connection at the pitiless adaptor on the well. The Interpretation and Correction The previous time this issue occurred was due the settling of the ground around the line about four years previously and again Jason was able to determine the problem. Unforatuely fixing the issue is not within his offered services but he does have recommendations of people to call, if you are so inclined to dig up chunks of frozen ground in January or February in Alaska. This Company Jason has always been fair and direct about his pricing and will tell you if it's in his capabilities or not. He personable and we would recommend him again. Our Thoughts... Thank you for such great service and congratulations on your new baby (summer of 2014)! We obviously prefer to not ever call about water issues but will do so in the future if the need arises again.
Description of Work: We have used this service before for a couple of well/pump issues and Jason has always been very responsive and kind in his overall services. If we have called in the past and it's taken him a couple of days to get back to us, it was only due to a family issue at the time. (People do have lives outside of their main work and it's always best to remember that things happen - in reading the other response on this site.) While we didn't like the news, he was spot on with the interpretation of the issue. We have since re-dug up our water line to connect to the pitiless adaptor this summer. By this fall, we should be able to finalizer our water connection to our second building on the property.

I called Valley Pump and Well inquiring about having heart trace ran to the well to prevent the pipe from freezing in the winter. Jason came out the same day to have a look and followed to have the work done. He was very accommodating to my busy schedule and came out on Sunday afternoon. I would use his services again before calling anyone else and I would highly recommend him to everyone I know.
Description of Work: Wired and installed heat trace from my house to the well.

It is sad, I have had this company perform services @ my house before and it was wonderful and that is why I tried to call them again. I called and left about 3 messages between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning thinking that maybe he did not get my message until went into the office Monday. Anyways he did not call me back. Nor did he call to say he was too busy and could not help me.
Description of Work: It was a Saturday and my well saver went out. I tried a couple of plumbers on Sunday to see if I could get someone to come and repair, but no way. Anyways I called this company several times, no answer, no reply.

Two days ago on Saturday morning, the water pressure throughout my entire house suddenly fell to less that half it's previous output. I called Valley Pump and Well Service Monday, just after lunch, and Jason said he said he could be there in a couple of hours. He needed the time to finish his current job. He was punctual! Wow, did I learn a lot! I picked Jason Palmer's brain, as I do all people that I hire. I told him the age of my home and well, the well depth, and uneventful history (no problems and no maintenance). He was able to look at my pressure tank and gauges and had a pretty good idea as to what the problem was due to the age and make of my well pump. This company originally installed the pump and pressure tank on my home 14 years ago. He had to open my well casing (outside the home) and pull the pump out to verify. He was able to quickly tell me that approximately $1000 would cover it, if this was the problem. He also stated that he would know for sure once he pulled the pump. I agreed to the work. He immediately started the job! His suspicions were spot on as was his $1000 estimate! Not only did I get a new pump and control box replaced, but he emptied my pressure tank, and checked and adjusted the pressure. Apparently it is recommended to do this yearly. I had no idea that this needed to be done! He showed me how to do it myself and said he could do it for his basic service call of $125 in the future, should I prefer. He also helped us flush our pipes, when the water was back. He also rinsed out our faucet screens. We turned on every faucet until the air bubbles worked out and the water ran clean again. (Uugh!! this part was disgusting!) I had to run a few empty loads in the dishwasher and wash machine before using them again. He did say that this may take a while and we may see a little more of the discolored water, but we can just run it through as we just did and call him if we have any questions. I explained that I did not have a manual for my pump so I never realized there was a need for any maintenance on the pressure tank (which I ignorantly presumed to be the well pump). He graciously provided me with a manual. Jason was very patient with my desire to learn. He is now the sole owner/laborer of this business. The company has been around for over 20 years. About a year ago his dad, who started the business, retired. Jason bought the pump and well servicing segment of the business from his father. Another man bought the well drilling part. Jason worked for his dad for about 10 years prior to purchasing it. The well drilling segment of the business he still does occasionally for the other owner and he recommends him for those who need a well drilled. He decided not to purchase the whole business from his dad because of the huge investment, the significant employee requirements which tends to make the business less personal, and the fact that he wanted to have a life. The servicing part of the well pump business is more people oriented and he gets to work directly with customers, which he prefers. I must say he is very personable! I had no shortage of questions for him and he seemed to enjoy conversing! ;-) Jason is a young man of 34 years of age, and hopes to start his own family and possibly pass this business on to his child. So he plans on being around a very long time and keep his business personal like it currently is! I respect that he didn't take on too much of a business, just because he had the opportunity. He chose to keep enough business to keep it personal, provide for his needs, and still have a life. That is probably why he was so wonderful to work with! =) I highly recommend Valley Pump and Well Service and believe you may actually enjoy chatting with him. I appreciated his help through the somewhat scary and potentially expensive process that each homeowner may face one day! I plan on using his annual service for my water pressure tank. It's one less thing for me to worry about and I look forward to a visit next year! =)

After waking up with no water I called Jason with Valley Pump and Well systems and 2 hours later he was at my house. He spent about 1/2 an hour looking at my system and discovered that the holding tank had gone out. He explained to me how the system worked and the purposed of a holding tank. Within 2 hours the holding tank was replaced and the system was once again working perfectly. Jason was very informative and professional. the next time I have an issue he will be the first one I call.
Description of Work: Jason replaced the holding tank for my well system.
