It didn't go, because work was never completed. I called to reschedule work date but owner did not called me back. Until the work is completed I can not honestly rate this company.

There was a long lead time for materials, but we were told that up front. Kim and crew met the time line provided and did a professional install. The new countertops give the kitchen a whole new look...and that look is awesome. The quality and workmanship are unparalleled. There are certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for. These countertops will last two lifetimes. I would absolutely use them again for future work.

Those guys were wonderful. They were clean and efficient. They took care of any little problems I had immediately. They were prompt. I was very impressed. It hasn't been too long between my delays and his delays before we finally got together but it was all mutual. It wasn't anything on his part. They just finished it up about a week and half ago. It was a three-day job counting the day when they came out to do the measurements and to attach my dishwasher to the countertop. They did a wonderful job. There were three people who came. There were no unexpected issues. The price was a lot more expensive than I thought it was going to be. I haven't done a remodeling in my house for 25 years. You don't find many really nice guys these days and these guys were nice guys. I can't say enough good things about them. I would definitely use them in the future.

It turned out good. I ended up paying more than the "Big Deal". They do good work. The countertops came out really nice.

They were great. They were great quality countertops and the guys who came over and installed it were wonderful. I really was pleased with the service. My countertops were amazing. It was a really good experience.

Surface Works Countertops in Wasilla. On 10/29/2014 Mr. Kim Johnson came to our house and did all of the measuring of our counters. He told us how much it would be and we agreed with the amount. He said it would be 3 to 4 weeks to get the materials for the counters. Well with all the holidays it took a little longer. We set up a date for 01/14/2015 for the counters to be installed. On that date at 12:30 he and his son started working on the tear out of the old counters. I am very pleased with the work he did. The counters are beautiful. He even attached the faucet to our new sink. I love the work he and his son did.

It started out a little confusing. I wasn't contacted for a couple days. I understand he may have been busy. He was gracious on our first conversation. When he came to the house, he began to say that the price would be much more than what we expected. We began to feel like this offer was a bait & switch.

I did not keep the appointment as did not have the finances to complete the project. However, he was so nice and helpful that when we do have the finances we will use this counter top provider.

It went great! We had heard about Surface Works Countertops from a friend that was very happy with them. We stopped at their shop/showroom on Knik Goose Bay road in Wasilla to see what they had. Kim greeted us with a smile and a hand shake and made us feel comfortable. He explained all the different kinds of tops and the goods and bads about them all. After that we knew just what we wanted and picked a color that both of us loved.We had some basic measurements or our kitchen and we had look around at other place alittle and knew the price he came up with was very resonable. He introduced us to his son's Lance and Layne who are the lead fabricators and installers. We just had a good feeling about everything and decided to purchase our top with Surface Works. We love the idea of supporting a family owned business! Lance came out the next day and did a template of our countertop.He was on time and very polite. Living in Alaska we knew it would take about 3 weeks for the material to get here.(and it did) Kim said they were busy but would have the top installed with in two weeks after the material got here. We needed our old countertop tore out and taken away and they said they would be glad to do that.(the price was fair) They were installing our kitchen top 1 day ahead of when Kim said it would be done and it looks beautiful! You can't even tell where the seams are. The install crew was on time and very polite and covered our carpet and kitchen floor with tarps. Vacuumed and swept when they were done. We are so very pleased with this company and would recommend they to anyone.ircle
