My first contact with Ron Bernier of JP Construction was a call from him telling me our builder hadn't paid him for the work he did on our property. We felt terrible and of course immediately promised to make it right and get him paid. We then found out from the builder that he had been paid $12,000. and got proof it was deposited to his account a month before he claimed he had never been paid. We then got estimates from other concrete professionals all of whom put the work he did at closer to $5,000. When we asked him about it, he pretended to have been confused and promised to work with our new builder to finish the job. He then declined to return phone calls from either us or the builder and decided he would just keep the unearned $8,000 he was holding onto out of that job. All while telling our neighbor what a good Christian guy he is and trying to set up work with him. The forms were put too close to the lake which required a 75' setback, and we ended up having to hire a new contractor to re-do all of the work. Funny enough, the new contractor did a much nicer job, included all of the foam insulation for the job, and still undercut the price JP Construction bid. I would never recommend to a friend that they do business with JP Construction. I am no sure I even dislike anyone enough to recommend this business to them either.
