We moved into a home that had gone under a bathroom renovation just prior to the sale. After living in the home for around year we started noticing the drywall and baseboards next to the tub/shower starting to erode. The drywall was crumbling, the baseboards (made with MDF) started to swell, mold started showing up and the floor tile started showing signs of water damage. We contacted the contractor and the first person that inspected it said it was due to water leaking into the back of the tub surround and it would probably need to be replaced, as the damage would continue to get worse. He said he would talk to his boss and see what he was willing to do although he stated he would likely fix the issue as he wants to make his customers happy. We were offered the option of ordering a new tub surround, paid for out of our own pocket and we could pay them to reinstall it. We did not agree with this so the owner himself, Garrett came out to inspect the damage. He stated that the only reason we had these water damage issues was because our bathroom did not have a ventilation fan. It does have a window and the house is over 40 years old and has never had one. He stated all damage was due to this reason. We did not agree and hired a licensed plumber to assess the situation as we knew water had to be leaking into the wall from somewhere. It turns out the shower faucet and diverter were installed completely wrong, according to the manufacturers clear instructions. They were not set back in the wall as they were intended and stuck out 1 1/2 inches too far and the diverter did not sit flush with the shower surround. There was a significant gap on one side, large enough to put a screw driver tool into the gap. This was disguised with caulking. Not only should there not have been a reason to have caulking there, they also used incorrect caulking and it did not hold up, so water was slowly seeping in the crack and causing damage every time someone took a shower. Extremely disappointing to buy a home with a new renovated bathroom and have it deteriorate in just over a year. Obviously they did not use a licensed plumber to install the plumbing fixtures and have not offered to repair and replace all the damaged areas on their dime. If you hire this company, please be very aware of who is actually doing the work in your home, and don't expect them to come back and fix any errors they may make.

GP Construction (Garrett Pietrock) was hired to purchase all materials, remove and install 2 landings, 12 stairs and handrails system in our split level home. The first quote came in extremely weak (no specific materials) so we worked with Nick his representative, until a satisfactory quote was established and work began. 50% down was provided as per the quote. Day one we were called to the jobsite because Nick was concerned that we wouldn’t be happy with the results of the stain on the handrails and balusters. As it turns out the materials purchases and stained were not the agreed upon products. Nick agreed to replace them at his cost, however he had misquoted us and he needed more money because he quoted two dollars per baluster and they actually cost $8.00 each. Nick also indicated we needed to place the order for over $300 in stair nosing materials clearly covered in the quote, because he was out of money After a thorough walk through of the project (day 1) it was discovered our carpeted family room was being used as a work space resulting in a small can of stain getting tipped over and leaking onto the carpet. A “Stop Work was sent out so we could regroup and discuss specific project expectations the following morning. Day 2 Garratt arrived and informed us he told Nick to stay at home. Garrett agreed the project was off to a poor start from the quote, through the workmanship thus far and the complete unprofessionalism of not protecting our home “we have plenty of drop cloths”. Garrett assured us the original quote was bad and he would send us a revised written quote. Since we didn’t receive anything in writing from Garrett we sent out an email indicating our expectations and that no one would be working on the project until something was received in writing and a receipt was provided for all the materials purchased on our behalf. However the team showed up and continued to work indicating the work they were performing was now a change in scope and they would need more money. This change was due to the stairs having an extra 2” bull nosing they hadn’t notice and it would have to be cut off. Nick had been to the house three times and Garrett had been there after all the materials were removed (day 2). Garrett was aware of the material we were installing there was no mention that additional labor would be needed to remove the bull nosing on our stairs in order to make the products stair nosing work. Garrett still had not provided the revised written quote. By Day 4 Garrett tried to tell us the cost of all flooring materials were not included in the bid, and we even offered to pay 15% over his original bid but that was not enough. Day 5 Garrett Pietrock construction picked up their tools and left leaving a hug mess. Lessons learned: always research the contractor on court view, insist on everything in writing including a detailed price quote with every material listed. This was a contractor –client nightmare.

Perfectly! Not a glitch to be had with any of the 3 jobs I hired him for. He's a wonderful, honest, hardworking young man with a solid work ethic. He showed up on time, keep in good communication during the jobs he was working on by texting photos of the progress (I left him at my house while I was at work. He even took care of my dog while he was there!) and I would definitely hire him again. I am a local real estate agent and I've since hired him to do some repairs at my client's homes.
Description of Work: Garrett Pietrok was originally hired to replace the flooring in my house. His attention to detail and the quality of his work was amazing! I was so impressed with his work that I hired him again! I had him do lots of "handy-man" type jobs (ie sand and paint my large back deck) and then hired him a 3rd time! I asked him to re-finish all of my old kitchen counter tops and I could not be happier with the results. It was a big job and he finished it in a timely manner. VERY impressed.

Garrett excelled at everything I needed done. The timeline was very short and at a location that made having access to materials was limited. He was able to gather the appropriate materials and complete the job in a timely manner. Any add one or questions that needed to be addressed were quickly addressed by Garrett and his team. The overall project turned out very well, and I am extremely pleased with his work.
Description of Work: I had a carport remodel where it was needed converted into a private heated garage. Additional and new framing was needed to secure the structure, and Sheetrock and insulation was also added.

He did a very good job on all of the work that needed to be done. The laminate flooring didn't have any chips in like some other places I've seen. The windows we're put in well and very quickly. Can't see any seams in the drywall or anything like that. Overall I was very pleased with the work he did and how quickly it was done.
Description of Work: I needed new windows for the whole house. New drywall for most of the interior walls and ceiling and new laminate flooring put in.

It went really well, the work is gorgeous. He showed up when he said he would show up. Finished one deck in the first day and came back the next day to build the second deck. He finished off the third day by adding in the railings.

Description of Work: I had old, well used to say the least, carpet upstairs and on the stairs. I have a baby on the way and needed it replaced. They did all phases of the replacement, making it much easier in me. They replaced the carpet with LVP flooring.
