We've used PolySeal twice now to insulate our homes and have been extremely satisfied with the result.

The Estimate: The representative arrived as scheduled. We entered the crawlspace and he examined the area to be insulated. Photos were taken. We discussed in depth the one area that might cause problems and insured that I was aware that area might be problematic. He asked if I had further questions then informed me he would get an estimate after discussing the job with others at the office. A few days later the estimate arrived and it indicated in detail what would be done. Everything was outlined as I requested, giving particular detail to the one problem area. The Scheduling: After accepting the work description I was contacted by a scheduler giving me a specific day that the work would be done. The job details were covered again, I was informed of the deposit required, and was insured the job would be completed as described. The actual work: The work crew arrived as scheduled and on time. The first worker arriving once again briefly discussed what would be done. A short time later the crew boss arrived and he insured me that the work would be done as required. We briefly discussed the one area (the problem area) of concern and I was informed he was aware and would do his best to complete it. The work began. All of the old insulation batting was removed, bagged, and taken out of the crawlspace. I was amazed that there was such a small quantity of existing insulation. All of the rim joist areas were filled with foam as specified, then thick batting was applied to the perimeter walls and sealed in place with foam. The problem area was “opened up” and the foam was blown into that area. Upon completion I was informed that it would smell for awhile in the crawlspace but nothing was hazardous about the odor. I was shown some photos of the work completed. Later in the day I inspected the area. The job was very complete. The concrete walls appeared as if a military drill instructor had supervised the work. Everything was cut level and even and looked very good. I looked at the problem area and was amazed at the great quality of the work. That evening I noticed that my furnace did not fire up as often as usual and that the back room of the house above the problem area was much warmer than before and now the same temperature as the rest of the house. Follow Up: Within a few days I was called by the scheduler and informed that if anything needed additional work, to give him a call. The final bill was sent. Recommendation: Polyseal insulation gets a very high recommendation from me. The company used the minimal number of workers required to do a fantastic job. The area was left free of debris and I was informed to call if anything was not done as expected.

They did an incredible job. Sealed between all double joists, windows, crawl space. They failed to shave back the insulation above our ceiling cross braces but I'm guessing they assumed we would be sealing up that space later. We weren't there at the time to tell them otherwise, so I'd recommend letting them know that all insulation has to be shaved back to the joist depth.

They visited my house within a few days and checked out the insulation and said it was fine and the problem was inadequate ventilation in the loft. Based on the professionalism of this company, I would certainly call again to do work on my house or rentals.

Their price was good, they were responsive, professional, and did what they said they would when they said they would.

What a good experience from beginning to end. Communication was outstanding. We were kept in the loop at all times and contacted to see if we needed more time to complete the electrical, very flexible. This was a class A operation all the way. We came home to the job in progress, the crew was self sufficient and had all the equipment needed to complete the job. This was a real blessing after the experience we had with the builder of the shop. The job was done perfectly by a knowledgeable crew.

I am doing the Energy Audit program, and the "As-Is" inspection had a list of suggestions, including insulating the crawl space (the house was built in the 80's). I researched insulation companies on Angie's list and chose Polyseal because of the ratings. In October I phoned for estimate and had inspection within a few days. Due to my busy schedule, and theirs, I wasn't able to have the insulation work done until November. I was told they would arrive between 8:30 and 9 am ... but were 15 minutes late, due to traffic (I live in South Anchorage). No problem ... as they set to work almost immediately. The two workers were very polite and professional. I was invited down to the crawl space to inspect each part of the installation before they proceeded (tarping, then foam on the rim joists, and finally, the batting). The work was completed, and they cleaned up the work areas, in the 4 hours estimated time I was given at the initial inspection. I noticed right away how much warmer the downstairs portions of my house are ... thanks to Polyseal!

They easy to work with and flexible in regards to my need to delay the work a few weeks. They were able to work around not having any heat or electric as well as a cathedral ceiling. The cleaned up well after themselves and hauled all the trash away. Respectful of me stopping by to check on the work and my questions. Afterward the owner called to check on my satisfaction with the job. Overall I was very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

They were very thorough. The estimator was very good about answering my questions. He probably fielded between 10 and 15 emails from me answering all my questions so I really felt that they took a lot of time. He took a lot of time reading over my report and letting me know what the company could do for us. I was really satisfied with the time he took and the customer service. They did a really excellent job on the installation and they cleaned up after themselves. It was an excellent experience all around. The customer service was excellent They used good quality materials and the price was reasonable. Their quote was almost 50% less than some other quotes I got. I didn't have any complaints about them.

They insulated a crawl space in a new home. They did exactly what they said they would do in a timely manner. The inspector was impressed with their job. I'm about to recommend them to another.

I was originally scheduled to have my home insulated a week later, but Kevin from PolySeal called and told me they had an opening earlier, if I wanted it. I told him that would be great. The two man PolySeal crew arrived on time and proceeded right to work. They masked off the work area and placed drop cloths on the floor to catch any overspray. As one man sprayed the insulation, the other followed behind him, trimming the insulation flush to the walls. When they finished insulating, they cleaned up completely, taking their trimmings with them and not leaving them in my trash. The PolySeal crew was completely professional and courteous. I fully intend to use this company again as I continue with remodelling other parts of my house.

There were no problems. Everything was fine. The overall experience was good. They were punctual and professional. I would consider using their services in the future.

We did prepartion wrok before workers arrived, pulling everything into the middle of the crawl space area, cutting a channel in the ceiling of the garage ceiling. We were informed well in advance of the work being done that this preparation work was our responsibility. Two workman were here early to do their prep work. Work began at schelduled time. Workmen were extremely nice and helpful. Preperation was excellant, drop cloths in place etc. Work went smoothly and efficiently from the top of the house to the bottom. Total amount of time, 6 hours. They did an excellant clean-up. We were very pleased with the entire experience.
