Mat Valley Painting, Inc.

Aaron with Mat-Valley Painting showed up about 5 minutes after we spoke. He said it would be a little while (I was thinking the end of the day), but he was here about 5 to 10 minutes after we spoke. He took a lot of time walking around my house looking at all the little details that I pointed out. He didn't make it seem like I was taking too much of his time, and he definitely answered every one of my questions. He explained exactly what he would do from start to finish - clearing around the house, taping and putting plastic up, which paint he would use (and why that was the best verses other choices), the methods he would use, how long it would take, when/how he would clean up, how he would handle any issues (with weather, bad paint, etc.), and any other detail I could think of. We decided to do the work ourselves, so he didn't do anything except the estimate. HOWEVER, when I called to tell him we wouldn't use him, I asked him a few questions about how to do things, and he was more than happy to help me. When he was at my house and we were speaking, he told me that he works 100% by himself. He has no secretary, nobody to answer the phone, no hired laborers, etc. He says this is why his prices are low - because he doesn't have the overhead cost of employees and labor. Overall, I was a pleased with what I saw from Aaron at Mat-Valley painting. The only reason we didn't use him was to cut the cost even more by doing it ourselves. I would highly recommend him, but please remember I cannot say anything about his actual quality of work. (Although I don't have any doubts about him)
