Bigfoot Pumping & Thawing

The first two visits to unclog seemed to clear it until the next morning. On the third visit one of the owner's son, (I believe) came along. He used a camera to finally diagnose the clog. Not only did it finally get fixed but he adjusted our bill quite a bit. Very impressed with this. The workers that showed up were all professional and nice. The lady on the phone was also cordial and helpful. I highly recommend them.

I was told to expect the service on Friday and that the driver would call before hand. Driver arrived Monday with no one at home. After finding the septic, rather than than driving back to the street and parking near the septic tank, he backed across a natural area leaving deep ruts in the ground and broken bushes/small trees in his wake. He still had to use three (3) additional hoses for the extra distance for an additional charge of $45, which would have been unnecessary had he moved to the nearer street location. This was only the second, and last, time I have used this company.

They arrived faster than any other company could. The two workers were friendly. They brought their truck that has a steam generator in the back. They promptly got to work and started making progress. Eventually, though, their progress slowed. After a few minutes they realized their water tank had run dry-- an understandable mistake. So they left to refill the tank and came back and finished the job. They charged me $225 for 1.5 hours, but I firmly disagreed that their work exceeded 1 hour when not including the time their mistake took. I called the manager, who was very professional and polite and promptly agreed to refund the $75 for the extra half hour. They sent the refund check the next business day. Ultimately, they completed the job in a timely and cost effective manner.

We have lived in our house nearly 13 years and never had our septic pumped (no problems either). They came out, pumped , and were professional and friendly. I'm not sure this is a service our house needs annually, but when we do it again, we will use the same provider.

The first point of contact was rude. This is why I chose another company.

I needed my septic system pumped, when I called they took my information and gave me an estimate. They came and pumped my tank and I was able to pay the driver on the job. I really appreciated their attention to detail.

Called Big Foot on a Saturday, our pipes needed to be thawed. They did not come until Monday. When they worked on the pipe everything backed up through our toilet, that ran into the bedroom and living room. Called them the next Friday for them to come back out as we were having problems again. Could not flush the toilet or drain the water. I called them on Saturday afternoon asking if someone was coming out, the rude person that answered the phone said we were next on the list, leaving me to think someone would come that afternoon. Nobody called to come up until Wednesday afternoon. So that would have left us with no water for 5 days. Dealing with them on the phone was never pleasant, the woman that answered was always short and rude, like you were interrupting her for no reason. We called another company, they came right out and took care of the problem.

This is the final incident of several. The others I complained lightly once to them for having to come back a few days later I say for not having done right the first time. They acted as if my line got stopped up again in a few days and charged me again. This happened twice in five years but I let it go. This time they steamed the line and blew feces 3 feet up a wall. It cost me $50.00 to have it professionally cleaned in a rental unit. It happened on a Sunday and no one answered the phone. Monday morning I talked with Mr. Krausey and he refused to compensate me saying" I had old pipes and they've been telling me for years" as if my pipes blew feces up the wall. I complained to the Better business Bureau and they were immediately notified. They agreed to the BBB to take $50 off my invoice and added a lie that they offered to clean it up but I refused. They did take $50 off after they invoiced me for 2 hours instead of the usual 1 hour it had taken in all the previous 10+ visits over the years. It was a net increase of $100 presumably my punishment for complaining. I have observed over the years that Bigfoot seems to have a growing contempt for their customers, a phenomena experienced by many companies. You'd think they would be happy that sewer lines get clogged so they have work but my expeience with them has been that they treat meas if I have done something "wrong" and that I have been lucky that they are there to bail me out and they'll be there when they get there. Funny thing because until recently I always paid on the spot and recently they have invoiced me and I always paid promptly.

Bigfoot couldn't have done a more professional job. From the moment I called things began to happen quickly. They arrived at our rural property literally in minutes, determined a septic pumping wasn't needed, and steamed/thawed our pipes in very little time. Every employee I interacted with was professional and polite. The cost was more than reasonable. I even got a bit of comedy for my plumbing dollar from the two young gentlemen who came out. I like that. Great job Bigfoot!!

I moved into a rental property. I was there for 2 days and it was – 40. The sewer backed up into the garage. These guys were out of my house from 9:30 to 11:30 on a Friday night. They came back out the next morning and fixed her up. I personally didn't spend anything because the owner of the house had to pay for it. I think it would have been around $ 1000 because it was late night call out and it was extremely cold outside. The fact, that they showed up at 9:30 at night and worked almost to midnight, fixing my problem. It's cold outside and we are not going to mess with it now. I was impressed by that. I do not know what the competitors would charge and I am kind of new in the area. I am sure the price is fairly reasonable. I was impressed by that. I don't think I have had any problems since then. In terms of responsiveness, they were fine. I would use them again in the future.
